I went into this game not knowing what to expect. And I was pleasantly surprised with how good of a quality game it is. There are a few nitpicky things, like the early game is very grindy, and when you die (which will be pretty often in early levels) it's instant game over with no way to reload right before your death unless you saved. Other than that, the variety of sex scenes and fetishes/kinks is pretty good. Yeah there is some NTR, but it happens very few times. A lot of the scenes have actual animations which was a nice surprise. Plus there is also a good amount of humor that made me chuckle pretty good. Overall this game is pretty solid. Plus there's a built in walkthrough in the main folder after you extract it in case you get stuck. I give this game 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Great game, Love it. Has good focus on gameplay (killing monsters, levelling, equipment and such like a RPG ) and the theme of a world in that age and with magic, full of adventures appeals a lot to me. in fact prob u all know what is the most popular adult RPG and it is doing a lot more money on Patreon that peasant quest and yes it has better UI and graphics. i believe the latest peasant quest animations are as good or even better, more sex appealing than those of that Devs games and for me peasant quest is as good or better than those devs games but the other games are more focused on adult content and with better graphics and more adult oriented games, less gameplay oriented. I believe that most adult games players either because of age, simple taste or because it is a adult game prefer those less gameplay ( "grindind" rpg style games) and more adult content, story and better graphics oriented games.

An interesting game. Even if there is no adult element, it is also attractive. Each actor has its own story and character, not just a brainless NPC. MC will not be constrained in the game. But it must think and plan carefullyto complete all tasks, and enjoy all the stories.

    TLDR:

This is unexpectedly good. Highly recommended.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but this is the best RPGM porn game I've played so far, and I've played many, including 'Treasure of Nadia' and 'Lust Epidemic'.
Please read on if you're curious as to why.

    More Context:

Coming to this, I wasn't expecting much due to many red flags.
It's hard to get an RPGM game right and I usually approach them with caution. I've seen too many disappointments.
6 years in development is often not a good sign and could mean 'development hell' for a game.
Also, too many tags could mean an unfocused game.

However, this game turns those red flags into advantages.
Dev has utilized RPGM to efficiently add in all manner of races and creatures.
The art is good and they've even added animations later on.
Also, the dev knows which angles/animations in scenes are most erotic. This is also super rare.
Instead of being a weak point, 6 years in development has meant 6 years of decent content. We're talking a metric butt-ton of enjoyable content.

Also, different tags are done coherently and add to the variety of content. You won't get bored, that's guaranteed. Everything comes together without feeling forced or slapped on.

One thing to note is that the dev has clearly listened to what their patrons requested, but they haven't compromised on their vision. This means they've put a lot of 'optional' content in the game. That deserves respect.

The story is pretty straight forward. MC is an ambitious peasant who goes to town (figuratively and literally).
He is a lucky bastard who has one goal in life: Ride all the bitches and sire as many children as humanly possible.
The dev is under no illusion as to what their game is. No pretentious Shakespearean prose, nor David Lynchian mysteries here. Rather, a decent porn experience with many colourful characters. And that's all it needs to be.

I can go on, but it's better you experience this masterpiece yourself.

However, having spent more hours on this than I'd like to admit, I'm going to give a few pointers to those who haven't played this yet:

If you want to play this now, heed my warnings:

    1. The beginning of this game is really slow.
    To avoid it, do this:
Cheat in 5000 coins but no more than that.
If you play the game with no cheats like I did, you'll be spending the first month of the game managing very basic survival stuff, in other words, a true peasant experience!
I didn't mind it, but you might not be as patient. This starting money allows to kickstart some of the quests without making the 'combat' and other avenues of moneymaking irrelevant.
Keep in mind that some quests trigger due to money-related events. So I suggest you don't cheat in unlimited money.
I hope the dev addresses this early game slowness in future updates and make my recommendation irrelevant.

    2. There are no complete walkthroughs for this, but download the one in the original post anyway. It is useful.
The walkthrough you see here is outdated and might mislead you if you follow it step by step. There has been many changes since the early-game guide's been written. But you can search your quest's name if you're stuck and usually some useful information turn up.

But you don't really need that. There are very very few miss-able events in the game.
And aside from a few puzzles that might trouble you, the rest is relatively clear. And if you ever get stuck, searching this forum is a reliable method of relief.

    3. Previous quests unlock next ones.
This is not a classic open world RPG. Don't be alarmed if you can't seem to access some quests or characters.
It's usually because you haven't completed a quest that triggers the next quests. Follow the ones you have access to and other paths will open.

    Conclusion:

Nothing further to add except that this uncut gem was a pleasant surprise. You owe it to yourself to give it a shot.
I eagerly look forward to the future updates, releasing periodically over the next decade ;)

The models look good and I like the grind and RPG aspects but the game does something that I despise and that is forced femdom.

In general your character has no agency during sex scenes and you can't know beforhand what will be done to you.
The worst was the dumb giantess, you have to go in the bed with her to proceed some quest but it instantly starts with terrible femdom where you are not allowed to stop it or atleast get revenge afterwards eventhough it is supposed to be consensual.

This is lack of choice and player freedom is something that I hate, even more so since it is intended to be an RPG. If the dev wants to make such a game fine but he should warn beforehand.

    Warning: spoilers ahead.

    The Gameplay
Standard RPGM, a bit grindy but not to crazy extents.

    The Combat
So, yeah, this is an RPGM game, so I didn't expect too much of a complex combat system. I think Peasant's Quest does combat pretty well, in contrast to what some others may say. The system is kept simple and not resource-exhausting, like in some other games where you spend tons of money and stuff to obtain good equipments or spells. Here the spells are obtained as part of the main story (or in one case from a dungeon) and equipments from the shops. Combat is simple turned-based combat. There isn't a single moment where I think, "this is damn too hard" or "this is damn too easy". It isn't fancy, and it doesn't pretend to be. I can appreciate that.

    The Characters
One of the strong points of the game. Characters have personalities, motivations, and backgrounds. Some are simple everyman who, just like in real life, just want to make some money and have a decent life with their families, like the farmer and the miller. Some are more ambitious like the innkeeper who wants to marry off his daughter to a rich man.

    The Story and Lore
To recap, the lore behind the game was that there was a war between two gods Nergal and Qetesh because Qetesh cheated on Nergal. Qetesh (barely) won the war after the Battle of Axe Blood Pass (or something like that) but her priestesses got cursed. Now Nergal's remaining priestess is trying to beat Qetesh's followers. The MC plays both sides as he was born on the day Qetesh won and he was also touched by Nergal.

There are multiple storylines in the game, most of them optional. The main story itself is pretty well done, with the Qeteshians trying to rebuild the temple and make the worship of Qetesh flourish again, while Nergalites were searching for weapons like mortal vessels for their god, the Necronomicon 2.0, and some spider research stuff.

The Qeteshian storyline does get weird though (update 2.81 I think), where you go back to your family farm and a bunch of really weird, plotwise pointless stuff happens. That one was pretty weak.

It's the Nergalites that I really like, mostly because I feel like they give the MC more boons: powerful magic spells and a familiar. Also, they give a lot of dungeon quests which I like.

    Storylines/Characters/Moments that I particularly like:
    -Batbreeder slave. Because batbreeder.
-The vampire storyline is pretty great, fighting Master without the crossbow bolts is a real challenge, and so is fighting Reanna. There aren't a lot of super tough enemies, so when they do appear it's fun. I really like the boons that the vampire blood potion gives as well.
-Goblin king storyline is really nice, especially with the addition of Obeah. The Shakala-daughter dynamics and the Shakala-Obeah dynamics are very entertaining. I hope Sequoia can get more oomph to her character rather than just being a meek slave.
-The familiar is super cool. Began as a useless companion, ends up a super solid one who can actually tank some hits and deal good damage. Advancing her questline is a pain in the rear though, because you gotta grind XP.
-Reanna. You'd think that, if it weren't for the blood oath something something, she'd be able to kill Master 1v1, because she's just that awesome.
-The MC. In particular, his journey. I've played RPGMs where the protagonist starts as a farmer nobody and then, 1 chapter later, was kicking crazy ass. It's not like that here. The MC has become more powerful (both in terms of personal power and allies/friends), yes, but it's thanks to actual hard work and reasons that are lore friendly. He can use (pretty strong) magic, but it's nowhere near Erevi's--his teacher--level. He fought a dragon and expectedly got his ass kicked, he fought a master vamp and barely won with the help of a powerful paladin and some anti-vamp weapons. He's got vamp powers after helping some vampires kill their master, but it's not on par with actual vampire powers and needs to be replenished. When playing in endgame (think the family farm quest), MC is likely to have a full set of armor and weapons, magic, vamp powers, and a familiar. And when you look at all of that, you'd realize all of those weren't handed over on a silver platter, but doggedly fought for.

    The Sex
Okay, the sex scenes' technical quality is pretty good. Regarding fetishes, the main ones in descending order are: pregnancy, femdom, and maledom, in addition to basic/vanilla stuff like some romance, and of course oral, vaginal, and anal.
Pregnancy is where this game gets annoying. With potions you can get the chance of pregnancy from 25 percent to 75 percent (usual fertility potion) or 100 percent (enhanced version), but if the woman is consuming barenness potions then it hits zero, unless you use enhanced fertility (25 percent).
The problem is that pregnancy (for barren women) is required to advance many questlines, like Obeah's, Alice's and Jenny's, so you can imagine that it gets either grindy or excessively save-scummy.

Femdom is pretty strong and plenty, like with Victoria, Erevi, and Frida. Maledom is weaker and usually with non-main ones, like the batbreeder (a literal slave) or Sequoia (Second Mate when you become goblin king).

    Assorted commentaries:
-Lore can definitely be developed more. I remember there is a character named "Cath" who was the guy-behind-the-guy for Roderick, as they planned to rebel against the baron. This was brought up during the mayoral election storyline, and since then hasn't appeared.
-Would be cool to see the batbreeder and the familiar be taught to speak human language, they're my favs but it gets annoying seeing "krih, krih" for the thousandth time.

Grind. Grind for hours just for the sake of seeing some very low poly 3D models with major clipping issues. Can't figure out what to do or where to go next. Try reading the disjointed, outdated walkthroughs.

You know, I would happily deal with all those issues if not for biggest sin of all. Enjoyable rape. Yeah, girls in this game just love getting raped and molested by ugly monsters because they're all just dick hungry nyphomanics (except when the player character tries to fuck them)

It would be the Best RPG hands down, if it weren't for the bugs.
    Story = 5 stars
    Animation = 5 stars
    Characters = 5 star
Different weird bugs every time you play through = 1 star.

This playthrough it is the Tower, I can't access room in tower so MC can't sleep there, running back to Fridaheim every time the MC gets tired, also can't upgrade the breeder food or living conditions.. No option to buy furniture. Already impregnated breeder.

It's a great game, if you know what you have to do. I'd recommend reading the guide while playing the game and just going quest by quest. The game can be slow in the beginning due to lack of coins. Using save editor and starting off with all the resources you need can really speed up the game and encourage playing instead of giving up. The game has great scenes and a lot of content. Game speed is (like in every RPGM Game) slow and the map is big. So moving around is relatively slow. Overall still one of the better games on this website and definitely recommended.

Everythings there to make this game great. The characters are really hot and fappable, tons of content and there is impregnation. But it's a shame because the dialouge and character depth is so shallow.... If they had made just a bit more effort on the character relationships the game would be a lot better.

I play with cheat mod as I have no time for incessant grind and there is plenty of that in this. The combat is boring even with cheats. But the game is worth playing just to even look through the gallery and all the scenes, and if you have motivation to actually play out the quests to get to each scene ( played quests for evri, victoria and frieda. That is the problem though, their isn't enough of a good story with characters and MC to motivate you to do that. But the character design (models etc...) are impressive and the vareity in a medieval fantasy setting is everything you'd want. I just wish there was more effort put into the dialouge or something perhaps more events relating to each character to bind it all together.

Require too much effort for any thing, the faces of girls are questionable, the walkthough is just straight up wrong, the battle speed is way too slow, the writing is ok, the writer seems really like ntr stuff, but I don't cont it as a down side.

Decent game, somehow starts slow and you have basically little idea where to start, besides the fact they give you a hint to hunt down bandits and turn them over for free coins.

It encourages the types of players who click around for possible hidden stuff, especially in one mission where you open an area with a key but you can't spot it easily because that spot seems like just a background structure.

Lack of teleporters make the game real slow paced, there are missions that basically compliment each other and it requires you to move one area to another area which is 3 areas away.

This game also needs a proper map that tracks where the player is and what area needs exploring.

Combat rewards only 2 digit experience, compared to how much you need I think you need around a thousand to level up enough to do decent damage against some enemies.

Want to unlock a new mechanic? It requires a little bit of looking everywhere and talking to npcs you never expected to have something. I am yet to unlock dual wielding of weapons and still can't find it myself. Unlocking of magic and other skills also took a while for me.

The amount of content is decent though, kinda saves the game despite being slow paced because of the low xp and lack of teleporters.

    Edit:
Apparently there are fast travel methods, though they are located in spots that basically makes lesser sense than when you put it in relevant places like the middle of the town or the gate or entrance of an area.

Also, WHAT THE HELL IS THE PURPOSE OF THE BOAT I JUST BOUGHT?

    Review for v2.81

Peasant's Quest is a good game, but I feel like it's far away from ever being great for me. The more I play the more things I have issues with. You can definitely enjoy it, but it just depends on what you're looking for.

What I'd really praise the game for is the variety of content provided. I think it's a bit rare for Daz games to venture beyond "normal" women, but this really goes above and beyond. Plenty of monster girls, a couple giants, and still a good mix of regular love interests as well. This also ties into a lot of quests, making them equally as varied since you don't really know what you might be doing next.

Now while there is a lot to do, my main problem is that everything feels a bit too... simple perhaps. Characters just aren't that interesting to talk to. There's a lack of any real depth in most of them. The game isn't big on dialogue in general really, but it gets a little stale after awhile. I wish there was just a bit more going on with everything. There's really nothing lurking below the surface so to speak. The MC being the most bland of them all, as he doesn't even have a personality. He's essentially at the whim of every woman he meets.

I also think combat is one of the weakest parts of the game, which is a shame since there's a fair amount of it. You don't have access to very many skills, there's a relatively small amount of equipment to use, and you have a very limited mana pool unless you make a ton of potions. I think having proper companions would improve it a lot, and I don't really understand why that isn't a thing already. There's plenty of temporary companions that join during quests that I feel could easily join you in running around. *Edit* - After playing a bit more you do end up getting a companion, but I'd argue it should come a lot sooner. It also starts at level 1, and I just don't care to grind a bunch of fights to get it to my level.

There starts to become a lot of tedious mechanics later in the game. Namely love interests start to lose affection over time if you spend too long away from them. You're constantly running around everywhere to do different quests, and having to try and balance that with an increasing number of love interests is just annoying. I think this would be easily fixed with an affection locking mechanic. Also a minor gripe, but why make fast traveling cost mana? And why not put fast travel points in more convenient locations, like the middle of the town we visit more than anything else?

The scenes aren't bad, but some of the older ones could definitely do with touch ups. A lot of earlier ones lack animations and look dated compared to newer ones. But the ones that are animated are animated nicely.

Now on the topic of pregnancy. I don't mind it, but it's not a big fetish for me. The problem is that pretty much every girl requires pregnancy at some point to progress their quests. For someone like me who doesn't especially care for it, it gets a little old having it constantly shoved in my face.

Though despite all my problems with it, I am still enjoying the game for what it is. It's a fun lewd RPG to kill some time and see a good variety of content, but I find it hard to get truly invested beyond that.

I'll start with stating that I hate RPGM with a passion for games, and yet, this game is excellent. Not good, excellent.

While the writing is not stellar, it is above the average, just short of being excellent.

While the game has a quest log, it is unfortunately, not great. Many quests remain way too illusive in what needs to be done, or who you should be speaking to in many cases. If you know the game, you'll be able to manage, but one a first run, you'll be wondering what or who to speak to.

Many quests are depending on other events, while the reason behind it may not be clear, until you unlock said event, the quest log may have you running around for ages trying to figure out who to speak to. However, most of the reasons why those skills or people are locked to a later point, do make sense storywise. The quest log is just making it confusing if you do not know what is locked or why.

Making money, is only easy and fast during a short period in the game. At the start, and after "that point", there's a downtime with cash making, until some other event takes place.

I recommend new players, to use the opportunities when you get grouped up with other characters, to kill everything that moves in the goblin forest, over and over and over, for several weeks (aim for 5K in gold before moving forward.) This will give you some peace of mind for later, and do NOT buy every items, dresses, weapons, armors, it is un needed, and a massive waste of your cash. Instead, stick to about 10 potions for health, 10 bandages, and 10 mana waters.

Graphically, the game is not stellar either. The renders are decent, but are not the greatest out there, although, special mentions need to be given for how unique each characters look. While some do look a bit familiar, some work was done on several of them, and they do not seem to be the stock models we see in all DAZ game.

The soundtrack, for this kind of game, is pretty fucking decent, just short of being excellent in all fairness.

The controls, are well, RPGM controls, so limited, and feel sluggish quite often, but nothing that can be done there, it is a RPGM game.

The animations are very decent, although, there are a lot of mistakes (hands and other body parts moving when they should not, clipping into things or bodies, etc.) but they remain pretty good versus what else is out there in this type of game.

The RPGM world map, and playmaps, are absolutely excellent for a RPGM game. It is NOT the typical assets, where you never see anything. While vegetation can be a problem (trees mostly), since you will not see either yourself, or the NPCs, it is only but a small issue in this game, and only a real problem in one specific map (the forest being your family's farm), where getting stuck or thinking you're unable to move forward, can be a problem the first time you get there, especially if it is dark (there's an option to turn light effects off, I highly recommend you use that on your first visit on THAT specific map to see things.)

Now, on the RPG side of things, it's not the greatest unfortunately.
While you've got "some" gear for warriors or mage kind of class, you are unfortunately locked into a specific class, with no way or option to pick and choose your points. Meaning, while you can get better magical performances, those are locked to the use of an item, every day, which resets when morning comes. This is fine on paper, but, if you end up waking up early, and going for an early hunt, if you use this item, it'll be gone after a fight or two, when it becomes morning in game.

Many things resets "a day later", but what it really means, is that it'll reset when morning comes. As such, you may not be able to use the bonuses if you get them late in the day, or too early in the morning/during the night.

The same is true from some skills during combat. The most obvious one being "mesmerize". It only works for a single turn, but if the character casting it ends up being the last to attack, all the enemies will have got their turn, will get mesmerized, and be fine again right after the skill got cast.

So keep this in mind, the game does not seem to be keeping an accurate map of how time actual passes for many actions/item uses.

Other than that, the game remains well above most of the other adult VNs out there, and is pretty close to being an actual RPG. It just remains on the very light side of RPG. Allowing most customisations like point choices during leveling ups, and the ability to choose classes (with bonuses and restrictions), would make the game a fully fledged RPG in my books.

I did not give it the full 5 stars, due to the few issues I mentioned, but don't let that fool you, 3 stars is ok, 4 is way above average, and 5 is excellent... With just a little bit more on the RPGside, this would slide into excellent instantly.

I was looking for a game that had the feel of an old school RPG with some fantasy elements and lots of nudity and fucking.... and this checked every box! The gameplay is a bit of a skill grind to start, but it is totally worth it once your character is leveled up enough to survive any single battle.

    v2.72

This game shares a lot of similarities with Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley, but with turn-based combat

    Pros
+ Excellent animated H-scenes with arousing dirty talk
    + Excellent pregnancy H-scenes
+ Gorgeous Models and a lot of different body types
+ Can buy Lingerie for extra scenes
+ Extra cum option for scenes with potion of fertility
    + ALOT of content
+ Quest list is useful for tracking current quests
+ Game comes with a walkthrough

    Cons
    - Achieving pregnancy can be a pain in the butt, even with Enhanced Potion of Fertility. Would be nice if you can check pregnancy status immediately after sex OR if you could sleep for 5 days in one go at any bed
    - No Gallery, but you can rewatch some specific scenes at the location they took place. Lack of gallery does mean you have to make backup saves to rewatch favorite scenes. It also means that downloading a full save doesn't necessarily allow you to experience all the scenes you want
    - Attacks in combat can sometimes miss, including attacks where you spend TP (aka energy)
    - Walkthrough is almost mandatory, only because it's easy to miss quests if you don't follow it
    - Quest list includes all past quests, but they not are categorized based on patch nor are they alphabetically ordered. So if you've haven't played the game for several patches, it can be difficult to find which quests you've completed and which ones you've yet to do when referring to the walkthrough
    - Combat system is very simple. Most of the time, you're just auto-attacking. Spells aren't worth using because you get very limited Mana and no Mana regen. Unfortunately there's no way to customize your build apart padding your stats with gear. You can't recruit party members (save for a familiar). It would have been nice if you could recruit some of the NPCs you've met
    - Game requires some amount of grind for Gold, for EXP and for crafting materials. At least, it's less grindy than trainers
    - Wives get angry at you if you don't visit them enough. Visiting them becomes a hassle once you have several wives, resources to gather, quests to complete, and very short days
    - Some quests are gated by RNG. An event has to happen (like a ghost has to visit you twice by your bed, a girl must be missing from their room, you have to have 5+ children, a girl must get pregnant to get the next quest). It makes progression really tedious

    Suggestions
    - Add a gallery with all the scenes the player has unlocked
    - Completed Quests should be divided up by patch OR the quests should all be listed alphabetically to make them easier to find
    - Make an easier and more immediate way to check Pregnancy status
    - Allow the MC to recruit certain NPCs to join your party
    - Wives getting moody after not visiting for a while should be removed since the days are rather short it's hard to find time from grinding for resources and completing quests. Plus, not all beds heal the same HP and MP. So you're just more incentivized to sleep in some beds over others
    - Better ways of farming gold than collecting goblin ears earlier than 2.6 content
    - Don't gate quest progression behind RNG

    Conclusion
Overall, this is an excellent game. Easily one of the best games on the site if you don't mind some grind. I don't usually like games with grind, but if you could pick one game to grind, this is the one. The H-scenes are so good, that it's worth it

    Love the game!

Which improvements I wish to see:

More lewd animations (ideally for all encounters) and further improvement to their quality.

Balancing (some missions are way too frustrating IMHO).

And last, but not least - more content (succubus daughter, troll lady etc.)

When I first started the game, I think it was the beginning of 2019, even then there was a lot to do, but when I come back and play again, there is still a lot to do, the game satisfies you in every way visual story nsfw elements are one of the best rpg games I have played in every way.
