Hi boys and girls!
I hope you've all managed to stay healthy lately? So far I've avoided any diseases, so game development is progressing fairly well. I'm still very much focused on rendering the new scenes for now. My original plan was to do a quick update with 3 or 4 scenes, but have now decided on doing 5. Currently I'm working on the fourth scene. Which in theory should mean that I'm mostly done.....however, just to make matters a bit worse for me, I've decided to make duplicate versions of each scene. The plan is to make a version of each scene for both a pregnant, and not pregnant female. Although it's more work, it isn't anywhere near twice as much work. Most poses will only need minor tweaking and all prop and lighting work will have been done already. I also have a new plugin that allows me to render images in batches. Meaning most of the render work for the duplicate scenes can be done while I'm asleep

I've also been been improving my animation skills. And the plan is to add an animation to four of the scenes (so technically 8 animations). The animations I've done so far (2) didn't require that long to render, so I'm optimistic that I'll be able to render the remaining animations at night as well. Which means I can work on other parts of the game when I'm awake.
Next week I plan to start scripting, although this update won't feature any huge quests, there will still be many new options/features to implement. One such change will be the way the Bat Breeder produces eggs. Currently she will produce up to two eggs the very next day after mating, meaning there is no gestation stage for her. The plan now is to have her lay between 5 and 10 eggs after a gestation period of one week. This will allow her to have a pregnant shape for several days before laying her eggs.
The additional render work will have some impact on the release schedule, but I do think it may still be doable by the end of April. I try to keep you up to date on a weekly basis for now on.
