Peasant's Quest + Mods - HD Video Mods​

The new videos have 2 times the Width and Height, 2 times the Frames, 16 times the Details (sorry wrong game), are denoised/remastered and color corrected. The HD-Videos uses the AV1-Codec but are capped at 8 MB/s. PQ does not have the most detailed source material and I thought 8 MB/s should be enough. If there is a need for a 16 MB/s-Version just pm me. We can test it together.

I tested the mod only on Windows. It should work with Mac and Linux. I think Android-Ports and JoiPlay could work on newer devices with AV1-Support.

Before you start:
Please make a backup first (just in case).
The mod will replace video-files in the folder "Gamefolder > www > movies".

Installation is very simple:
Download the mod, extract it into the PQ game-folder and replace the old video-files.
Thats it.

But Beth no longer appears in the stables.

I’ve added the Spicy and Gnome content.

Has she disappeared all together… or is she somewhere else now?

Is the spicy mod v1.1 needed for new update 3.61 if you all ready have it for 3.55? I think that mods aught to reflect version number for the current version of the the game if it has been updated. I don't see the need to have to download a mod on every update if there's no update to the mod itself. Just my opinion. Thanks

Edit: I just noticed that clicking on bugfix 3.61 goes nowhere. Was it added to the current 3.61 dl?

3.61 doesn't have anything that required updates to Spicy or Gnomes mods. They should work fine. But I always DL and install them from scratch when an update comes out just to be safe.

Bugfix 3.61 directly DLs the needed file, check your downloads folder. Unzip it, drop the contents into www>data, and confirm replacing the existing version with the new one.

If you've had a house built for her, you'll probably find her there.
If you've rescued her but the house isn't built yet, check the previous house immediately above the stables for her.
If neither applies, something's probably wrong.

bugfix 3.61 fixed me getting stuck when going to my house between smith and tailor. Before the fix when going inside, the game would play but i couldn't move or open menu. When downloading the fix and replacing the map i could once again interact in the house.

Idea: Since it's stated that the dragon eggs could take centuries to hatch, could the protagonist of a theoretical Peasant's Quest 2 be one of the human/dragon hybrids that hatch from the eggs?
He hatches 300 years after this game, so it's a new land to explore. Half the population are his great great........great great nieces/nephews. Other egg could be an older sister that hatched decades/a century earlier and fills a similar role to either Erevi or Ziva. Could have a MILF version of Liandra by that time.

Nieces and nephews refers to the children of siblings.
Since they're all his kids, they'd be his great, great, etc, grandchildren.

Well... besides Julia's decedents.
Those would be his great, great, etc, nieces/nephews AND his great, great, etc, grandchildren.

Oh.. and if, in a future update, he can have kids with Qetesh...
Then he'd be the father of his own siblings...
So their decedents would also be both grand niece/nephew and grandchildren.

Come to think of it....
There's going to be a fuckton of incest in and around Weirdwood in the coming generations.

Na dude Jigglypuff had it right, he was talking about the protag of PQ2 being the child of the current Protag (just with a delayed birth of 300 years), living with the descendants of his siblings... aka grand/great nephews/nieces.

I'm kinda curious how incest rules would play out for this senario

Imagining that was considered a "peasant quest Reboot", what would you keep, what would you suggest and what do you think was missing to greatly improve not just content but game wise as well. since the current one is now rounded but a snow ball?

For example, one thing that is negative in my view is how some quests can only be done by doing multiple others and how there is no hold back that slow downs the PC progress. etc or how some storylines could be reformed to be even more insteresthing while others changed from bottom up as doesnt look to grounded/too uncanny easy.

Feel like this is a weird and mostly a personal question, due what i like , you can very much dislike.
what PQ made great is the world building so things are connected so ofc that needs to do certain steps before other things can happen. I do understand that the start of the game quality wise is worse but that is when Tinkerer was starting and now he has way more experiance in setting up quests and zones.

So for me you are liking mostly want to ask for a change or correction to be made and your talking around it ....
