RPGM - Peasant's Quest [v3.91] [Tinkerer]

Unbearably grindy and riddled with quest bugs that prevent you from progressing. That pretty much sums up my experience with the current version.

The combat, which you will do a lot of (see grind), is incredibly simplistic. The game currently only has 2-3 spells and regular attacks as far as I can tell. So you can't really do anything except spam attack while you grind the same encounters again and again.

In classic RPGM style, the interface and feedback is bad. Game gives you no way to see the status or progress with characters. For example it's apparently possible to get back in stable-girl's good graces if you piss her off, by doing lots of stable cleaning.. But the game never tells you things are improving so how would you know you're not pointlessly repeating something with nothing happening after 5+ times? Just crap.

Best way to play currently: Install mod, watch all scenes in scene gallery, then uninstall

The best RPGM there is (the only strong contenders are Coceter Chronicles and Succulence) and by far. It's not overly grindy, has decent amount of content both gameplay wise (there are some enjoyable puzzles, fights are interesting and with the right pacing. there is crafting, you can use potions also outside of combat, you can buy clothes for your lovers, etc. etc.) and when it comes to eye-candy. Characters and dialogues are very well written, they are believable and sexy and there's something good for everyone.

Sex scenes are superb and even though some of the females don't look too appealing at the first sight, the writing and their voluptuous bodies makes them beautiful and lustful. In fact I think it's a better approach than all characters looking like some hot models. Of course the right ratio should be maintained (80-90% of female characters here are hot babes, depending on your preference, with at least 3 models being in top 10 most beautiful characters in eroge) but it's a nice for a change to flirt with someone of average beauty.

All in all I highly recommend it and as it has been said, if you don't want to grind too much you can always cheat and use for example https://www.saveeditonline.com/ to edit your save and get infintie amount of gold plus super stats. I've finished v. 1.32 without cheats but for 1.62 I've edited the stats from the very start and game wasn't broken at all and I've seen everything. It took me around 15 hours to do so which also tells that the game is not short at all.

10/10 from me.

This game deserves more attention. Love fantasy medieval settings. Not so grindy as you may think and leveling is very useful for future combat and traps. I wonder how the story ends. My first walkthrough of 1.54 version took me around 20+ hours.

No seriously, if that's your thing... you will like this game.

Cons:

-Slightly grindy (I'm looking at you, Crystal Eggs)
-Traveling is beyond dumb. The paths are needlessly filled with angles to make getting around a chore.
-weird breaking of the 4th wall with the "cuck approaching" nonsense. This really should have been a choice at the beginning of the game. (NTR yes/no).

Pros:

-Fast Travel makes everything ok
-Cheat the hell out of this game. mod your stats. everything. 3 cheers for saveeditonline
-Scenes are downright gorgeous.
-Being an asshole and watching scenes play out

Why isn't he making more money on Patreon? Its because the game is too grindy and it drags out the content in a negative way which isn't fun and is too boring.

Render Quality 4/5 - The render quality is very good, the guy knows how to make good renders and for this the game gets 2 stars.

Story 2/5 - The story is okay, but isn't good enough imo. Minus 1 star.

Gameplay 0/5 - The game drags and requires a massive grind that destroys the entire experience. This is most likely why he isn't making more money on his patreon. No one wants to support a grind this harsh. Minus 2 stars.

The poor game play, mediocre story & extreme grind keep this game from being awesome, but at least the render quality is good. Save yourself the time and download the cgrip.

Let me start off by saying that this game desperately needs a replay room at present it allows you to make potions to watch past events that it deems are not repeatable but you got to go to the location of where it happened also sex between you and your girl as long as it plays out the same it recognises it as repeatable so once you knock up your girl and she got a pregnant belly she'll have that during the scenes but you won't be able to see the non pregnant version and you can't use the recall potions to see the non pregnant version at such you will be using every save slot you have I'm using all 20 and I maxed out my saves about halfway through the game had to keep going back and choosing which saves to sacrifice so I can make room for saves that I wanted slightly more for this reason when a new update gets released i'm both filled with terror and joy. - 3/5

Edit: You can change the max number of saves here's how unfortunately for me I don't know about it until 1.61

For the most part the NTR/Rape scenes are avoidable there is 5 in total at the moment 3 of them you won't see them playout and your girls will be happy with you as a result although through the magic of recall potions you'll be able to go back and see them another one it changes the character from someone else to you this is one and only NTR/Rape that tells you beforehand that there is NTR to come if you choose not to have NTR it's you just being more aggressive than usual so you'll see almost the exact same scene I should also tell you if your goal is to avoid them never negotiate and never wait to see what happens you'll have to fight them as a result . - 2/5

Gameplay is slow it took me 13 hours to get through it and I was using guides so I knew exactly what to do if I wasn't I imagine it would have taken a lot longer. - 1/5

The game has its bugs and glitches more than what I've seen in other games I know how to get passed most of them so they don't really annoy me apart from the quest bug I have nine quest so far that's still say they're not completed but are completed because I already got the reward for completing them and I'm not talking about repeatable quests.

The storyline is good but you may not know it because of the time you'll spend between the parts because you'll be farming, leveling up and walking a lot of walking and your guy gets tired so you need to take him to bed a lot. - 3/5

It has quantity and quality of renders even some animated scenes but I don't particularly like them as they take away your control over the scene if they were on a infinity loop and when you click your mouse it'll go to next part I would like it a lot more. - 4.2/5

The game keeps getting better and better every time it updates. Even the updates themselves are full of playable content that make it worth the wait. I can't wait to see how large the dev is going to make this world and what new characters will be introduced next.

This game is great! Not many games have great pregnancy content like this game even it doesn't have sound effect and only a few animated scenes. The game has very little issue with bugs, a quest tracking log to know what you need to do and best hot pregnanted chick ever.

I prefer the VN, I tried a lot of rpg but none of me more until I found "Peasant's Quest" and the very thing I liked the most is the balance between the difficulty, the choice between Farm and Xp, and the progress in the story is good, in short I was caught in it, and I'm waiting for one thing, it's the next update

The grind is unbearable.

At the start of the game all you can do is work the forge and tend some crops. You grind that out until you can buy some items and level up enough to fight goblins in the forest. Then you grind away at the goblins until you can buy better gear and head into new areas in search of quests. You are frequently sent off on menial fetch quests where you are constantly attacked by random encounters, which is a problem since the combat is a dull uninteresting chore that you must suffer through to get to the good stuff. The turn based combat eats up a lot of time, even when facing a group of weak enemies, so the game moves along at a snail's pace.

The sexual content is very hit or miss.

There are some scenes that appeal to specific kinks that a lot of people aren't going to want to see. This includes rape, bestiality, and an astonishingly revolting NTR gangbang. So if you aren't into that sort of thing, then the game becomes a minefield because it's occasionally sprung on you by surprise and there's no way to avoid it. The only way I'm going to grind through hours of stuff that isn't fun, is if I'm excited to see what happens at the end of the quests. If there is a chance that the scene waiting for me as a reward is something that I'm going to find disgusting, then I'm going to sour on the game real quick. Which is precisely what happened after being blindsided by that horrendous bait and switch wedding ceremony quest.

I'm not going to spend hours on busywork just to play Russian Roulette with the erotic content.

First i must confess that i hate cheats even in porn games so i played it without cheating.

The beginning of the game is very slow, It takes a lot of time before you can go and start killing enemies without worrying of dying after one or two encounters.

The "Energy" bar is a hindrance and takes away the fun since it goes up rather quickly and its a waste to use potions every time its full and you want to continue.

Some scenes give the player false sense of choice since, Yes, You can try to kill the enemy but even after grinding levels you still die, So NTR is somewhat forced without cheats.

The renders or Graphics are mediocre, there are many games that do it better. Not all the sex partners are good looking at the start, Beware.

I don't like games where you must use walktrough guides to progress the game, Found myself wasting too much time figuring what to do as a gaming veteran who have played many games and in the end i was forced to use a guide which is long and tedious.

There were more gripes i had with the game but i said most of it, Maybe the game should be played with cheats but then how are you a peasant ?
There were sometimes glimmers of interest but it never took off, Even peasant girls take too much effort to have fun with and at some point the game became a chore so i stopped playing it.

We need to arrest Tinkerer because this game is a drug... Seriously, this must be virtual crack. I have no other explanation while you get so fast addicted to it.

At the moment the story is simple but exciting. The slowly unfold of the events are great. At the same you have an open-world element that befits the role of the hero. You get a good potion of grinding, but at the same it's not too much like in other games, i played.

Positive:
- good renders
- many girls with much content
- nice and continius updates (but still i need MORE!!!!!! )

Negative:
- Are there any negatives? Oh yes... Not enough game... Q.Q

1. Simple but such a good story
2. Perfect females no matter what they are they are sexy. Like how can you even make a dragon look that sexy just amazing.
3. The renders are to say a little mid class but i think for this game they are good.

1. The potions to create take a lot of ingredients that you need to explore a lot of places to get them. Without some potions you can't get the scenes you want and some last only 1 scene or to say until you cum
2. There are some bugs or to say things could be better or better planned.
3. Pregnancy happens random and you can miss some things. It happened to me and i had to use cheats
4. There are some NTR and Rape scenes that i really don't like them or even want to see them some can be skipped and some can not be.

Very good game, enjoyed whats done a lot and only see it getting better over time based on the current course. I have enjoyed that the creator frequently adds to the stories of previously added characters, making them feel more fleshed out and alive.

This game is one of those games which you probably spend hours of time to finish it. You have lots of shit to do, quests, farming, getting in the panties and all of that. You are slowly climbing your way to success and becoming something bigger than you were before. You are now a peasant but as the game goes you will become much powerful.

okay this is undoubtedly the best rpgm/rpg game i have ever played. there is sex, pregnancy and a TON of quests! add to that mythical creatures and a medieval fantasy set-up, it cannot get better than this. it took me about 14+ hours to complete this version(with occasional help from the walkthrough).
i used to hate rpgm but this game changed that. definitely recommend to try it out!

My first impression right after i've downloaded the game the first time: a Farmer's dreams clone? Ugh...i'm gonna play a game full of bugs and quest unplayable?....but @Kukothemadhatter 's signature says that is good

So here we go with a more serious review(i'm reviewing ver. 1.41)

Story: For now it seems the simpliest story ever, random guy in a random fantasy-medieval village and trying to be the hero...simply, clear, no plothole(for now), a lot of cool quests, some grinding needed(but i used a save editor, sorry @muttdoggy). So much things/quests to do. LOVE IT!

Graphic: first impression was "eugh, i don't like it" but during the game i changed my mind, now i hope someone use this kind of renders, literally i can't say anything bad, it's not Bright Sun Studio or Milfy City...but in this game those kind of renders/graphic, would be a bad thing for this game(maybe, BBS for sure, the graphic used in Milfy City could be cool, more light colors...buuut i don't know xD i feel like if the renders change i may hate the game but at the same time i want to see how it could look)

Bonus: Pregnancy! It's not a kink of mine, but it makes the game more realistic! Also the choice to make pregnant other characters(by using potions) i kinda like it, a lot!

Malus: 8 hours of playing and i want more, more content, more quest, more Friya(the giant woman?) content pretty please, even Erini could be good u.u

Great game. Some of the best fantasy girls out there with lots of creampies and pregnancy system. It is well balanced after a few struggles at the begining that you can pretty much avoid.
Could be nice to have more options in equipment because at certain point money only serves the purpouse to mantain access to your village home.
Anyways it is a growing game with lots of content at this point that keeps you coming for more.

Good game . Appart from a one bug where if I impregnate Frida then she doesn't give me pup closing further challenges with Mia nor does she wear the dress. The puzzles are pretty challenging and the scenes we get after solving them are rewarding as well. Since this is the first such RPGM I've played I'm just ignoring the negative comments. I do hope that Tinkerer hasn't abandoned the development and will add more quests and characters.
