If you are having the issue of not being able to click his name, then set your language to something other than English

Change the language to not English and then you get the clue. Change the language back afterwards.

Game doesn't clarify if they're a couple, but post game there is an update on her page showing that they're talking / working things out. The post had a positive vibe to it, but they aren't embracing each other for the photo or anything. Not sure if there's an update past that.

Only from the main menu, afaik. But progress is saved everytime you do something (or at least advance time), so you can jump right back in without issue.
