Overview:
Welcome to Rieat, a fantasy world where the eternal battle between the Legendary Hero and the Demon King takes place whenever they are reborn again. Each time they clash, the world’s fate hangs in the balance… And so it should be this time… But so far, the new Hero hasn’t been found and Demon King is already making a move!

Our story begins with a girl named Rose, peasant born in Manura Kingdom, who decides to confront Demon King herself and prove that no one needs Legendary Hero. You play as Rose in a story that changes with your choices. You can be as bad as they get or as good as you can, but your actions have consequences. You can make her a shameless girl that loves sex, and exhibitionist that takes pleasure in exposing herself… or both! Her clothing can be torn in various levels of damage that will be visible both in battle and during dialogues.

Petals of Rose is story rich game that will take you on a long journey through various countries, to help Rose get stronger and face Demon King himself!​

About the version: Not sure about the title, since this is a demo, in terms of a whole game it would be [0.1], wasn't sure which one to roll with so I went with demo option to not make it confusing.

Even the dev's Patreon states this is a demo version of the prologue. You might want to put "[Demo]" or "[Prologue]" in the thread title, with that small font size on this disclaimer (and version number 1.01) a lot of people are going to miss it and download thinking it's a completed game.

The developer's first post on Patreon was February 25th so that should let you all know about how far along this is.

Having said all that, I'm excited for this one and will be following its progress. I'm gonna download to try it out and see how much content we have so far. Thanks for sharing!

Yep, it was me. Let me explain and probably create more confusion XD. While demo is an edit of main project, out there it's 0.1. So it's actually both, one is just edited. Due to some issues with a demo (which had it's own version before release ending up in 1.0, I had to hotfix demo to 1.0.1). So technically that part [demo] is 1.0.1, while whole project is at 0.1 atm (well, technically 0.1.5 now XD). I know, sounds confusing but I am used to having few minor elements build whole thing and each element is separate part of it so requires it's own version
So yeah, either Demo or 0.1, both are fine.

Well, it actually was longer than February 2018, but I wasn't working on it full time back then and had to redo/learn about tons of shit, so I kept it in shadows until that to keep my mistakes to myself XD.

As for the content in the demo, it's all in the readme:

No battles though, because battle images for MC and mobs require tons of draws, because clothes and cloth damage, so I left it out and finishing it all, having only mobs and rest of clothes to edit since I am done with underwear.

I think there's some promise here, but it seems there are a ton of artificial delays that make playing it really, really frustrating. It feels a lot like the dev was worried he didn't have enough content and so decided to slow gameplay to make it seem like a longer experience. Once you get to actually playing the game, it's fun. The art is good, and I like that I have control of Rose's corruption--she's not forced into anything, which I like. Still, the game would be much more fun to play if the dev could elminate the slow play.

Yes, but prologue/intro is far from that, more like vn mixed with walking simulator, because I am not going to drop placeholders just to release something, either it's drawn/finished or not. That's why battle system is missing, which requires 5 poses, clothes/underwear for those, damaged version of clothes, mobs (not using default RPGM ones) and then making it work. Right now I am editing clothes to get damaged versions then I need to draw mobs, though that will go after I am done with battle system. And each mob will need at least 3 images: attack/hit/default, not even forgetting about sex attacks.

Not really, I just enjoy heavy story games and mixes of VN/JRPG (and I mean, really go back more than 15 years), in both you will see a lot of talking and cutscenes. I don't think I didn't had enough content, drawing stuff takes time, and scenes aren't mostly just same thing with slightly different edits. I have seen full hentai JRPs with less scenes, so there is that.
On the not forced... Depends, you probably went with good/neutral route so nothing bad happened. Doesn't mean it can't, try doing something bad - expect feedback that isn't positive.
This is a good response as it's completely opposite to ones I got so far.

I just checked, after he is taken away, black screen goes away and it plays normally. No clue why that happened.

Would need to know which "day" of event and at what slut leveles. I had to rip apart scenes from complicated and branching event so there is a chance I missed something.

Rolling text has a skip option, I just didn't enable it because whole intro can be skipped.
Though I completely agree on "ctrl" skip button and I tried playing with that, had issues with dialogue sprites not showing properly, but since I changed caching plugin, I should go back to it. I simply ignored all of that due to those issues and a fact that holding "enter", "z" or "LMB" (Left Mouse Button) speeds up the game and pretty much does that. While speed is not the same to what I am used to in novels, it worked. And that was mentioned in first few lines of text XD
