There is. You can create a shortcut to the executable and add
-screen-fullscreen=1 in the shortcut properties (in Target field, after the name of the exe file)

So I load up the game on the current chapter, have a quick chat with my wife then she goes to the gym, then I get an indication that I got a message from Jessie but there is no message and I can't progress.
Try restarting the chapter. Worked for me.

Yeah, that works too. The shortcut thing is more useful to force a screen resolution really, when some Unity games can't handle ultrawide monitor and put half of stuff outside of visible area.Or just hit Alt+Enter.

Is there a way to brute force this information by looking at the source code of the game files? Surely there's gotta be an "IF" statement in the coding somewhere for granting access to the next part - somewhere in the source code there? I can't find it, but then again I have zero experience with Unity.

Imagine subbing on Patreon and having to wait 3 months for a small update.
The issue with these phone simulation games is, you can't really have a good plot that doesn't include NTR. At least not easily. If you do, then it doesn't feel authentic. Because for you to see any lew photos or videos as the protagonist, you need a reason to see them or send them.
The only easy way of achieving that is for protagonist to go like "Last night was great, here are the photos I took of you while I was fucking you". The issue is the action already took place and the tension is gone. And you can't do that more than one or two times or the player will know that it is just a cheap trick to show the content you want them to see.
When it is ntr tho, you can do "look what is happening right now". It is much easier, makes more sense and feels live. Only issue is, people who don't like NTR can't find good adult phone simulator games easily.
