Hi there,
I think in update 9, the author has…
What do we remember up to and including update 8? We have an intrigue — the central idea being the wife's actions while uncovering the truth. Everything works well up until the moment he starts asking her about what happened on the ship, making it absolutely clear that he
knows what took place, but still insists that she tell him herself.
It's strange — compared to everything before, this scene stands out as odd. Still, it’s somewhat logical and just barely fits the author’s overall concept of intrigue.
Personally, I believe the author should redo these scenes — make them less obvious, less provocative. The MC shouldn’t be demanding some kind of truth from her, and the MC’s wife shouldn’t suddenly start openly talking about her arousal. Before, it was just an innocent joke — where is the reason for this shift? There isn’t one. The logic breaks down.
