I did this, made all the FALSE into true, like the instructions said, but each character's page seems to be blank, with nothing to select.

If you follow exact instructions, whole gallery unlocks without issue. Maybe check your code once again

Before any sharing, for pretty much any girl and any route, game warns you that you will share her. So to answer your question - yes, you can avoid those things.

Ah okay thanks, yeah I was thinking that sharing is a huge turn off for me, and everything seemed to be foreshadowing sharing (like the old guy telling you to properly break monica, as if he has some sort of stake or benefit from it).

The flashback scenes did not help to ease that (since they share like it’s christmas day and everyone gets a present in those)

It's avoidable. Straight up tells you if the choice you are making leads to gangbangs and sharing and gives you the option to "not proceed" with that route and select another choice.
