Physical Preference in Visual Novels

Hi, I'm new to these forums, and so if I'm posting this in the wrong place, I apologize.

I'm currently working on making a 3D erotic/pornographic visual novel. My question is, what is the general consensus on the bodies of the characters in 3D visual novels?

Do you prefer women with exaggerated bodies, like in games like Dreams of Desire? If the women had realistic proportions, would it be not as good, the same, or better? Wouldn't a more realistic body be more arousing? Given that it would closer to the real thing?

Does the protagonist need to have a massive cock? I understand the visual pleasure of watching a hot girl getting pounded by a huge dick, but most men don't have dicks like that, and so wouldn't a normal sized cock provide better immersion? Wouldn't you feel more connected to the character? Could you still enjoy the game if the guy didn't have an enormous member?

I'm currently making the 3D models of the characters, and so I want to know which direction to go in.

Trying to get a consensus on such matter is rather pointless, everyone has different tastes and they quite often don't go along, just do your best to make sure your models are beautiful and I'm sure people will like them.

That said, I'm more inclined towards diversity of shapes and colors and more natural looking models.

Even in Dreams of Desire, only 2 characters are truly exaggerated. There are those who prefer exaggerated features, but the mainstream prefer basic characters. My favorite characters, personally, are usually petite, Alice in DoD, the Daughters in Parental Love, Sara in Milfy City, Mia in view of family, etc. I'd suggest a cadre of ladies, all shapes and sizes, if you want to garner the attention of a wider audience. Or, if you have a fetish for a particular body type, make your game about that. Battle of the Bulges made the game about exaggerated features, you could make yours about 5'9" supermodels with C cups. But in the end, do what you are interested in. Being interested in your own work is the best way to do a good job.

Thanks so much guys, I have every intention of making a diverse cast, of various shapes, sizes, and colors. It's just I wasn't a fan of exaggerated features personally, but if it turned out that most people prefer that, I was going to try to cater to the masses.

The degree of realism is not the main factor wether I find a woman in a porn game hot or not, though. It really boils down to what you want to do with your project... I personally prefer realistic looking body proportions... Breasts that do not defy the forces of gravity, without a realistic reason... Mutant body proportions are a huge turnoff... Faces that are more in line with their age, and not childish looking faces on a supposed 18+ adult... When the women look like mutants, it takes the immersion down a notch or two... Penises should look like they belong on the body structure... Even if you want them to be bigger then the world wide average of 6 inches (fully erect)... Otherwise they look ridiculous... And contrary to popular believe, not all women want super sized penises penetrating them... Also, pay attention to realism during oral sex with a penis, it should not pierce the back of their heads or take 90 degree turns down their throats... I really recommend people watch some real porn for peeps doing real deep throating to get a real idea of how massively gross the whole experience actually looks in most cases... I feel the same way about the unrealistic aspects of some things, and I will be paying attention to that. On the note of how gross it can be, that depends on how you aggressive you are towards the girl and how comfortable/skilled the girl is, and as for how girls allow such things, again, it depends. Some girls don't like it and just do it to make the guy happy. Some girls love doing it and get really into it. Last but not least, porn isn't a great example of how things are in real life, however, I am someone that has sex regularly and have friends that are very open about their sex lives (guys and girls), so I got that covered

No, don't make exaggerated features if you don't like them. I prefer models on the natural appearance side of the fence, but most importantly, so do you. There are already more than enough games catering to the other crowd so you shouldn't feel pressured into joining them if it is not your thing.

I strongly prefer lesbian games with no male characters at all in the sex scenes.

In the rare cases I play a game with a male character, I think the degree of realism is irrelevant as far as the degree of immersion goes. Wether you can relate to a character doesn't have that much to do with the size of his dick or even body type. First person perspective is good choice however.

lmfao, I had the idea of letting the player chose their dick size, and yes that meant, small, average and big. But it would require redoing the animations 3 times over and also redoing every encounter (dialogue wise) into 3 variations.

Also, what do you mean by realistic reactions? I myself have a 5 and half incher, but I've never had a girl react negatively or say anything mean when they saw it. Most girls are pretty nice that way and know that one of the worst things you could do to a guy is make him feel bad about his dick.

I get what you mean, I've been thinking of making the MC average. I personally find it ridiculous that most games portray sex to be all about size. It paints an inaccurate picture of sex, and honestly comes off as something written by a horny teenager who watches too much porn lol.
