Some of the "game overs" are extremly cheap (interacting with a shiny marker in the world, which is a friggin natural thing to do in an RPG Maker game, leads to you being killed by one of the main characters for whatever godawful reason)., especially when this game uses such a terrible save system.

This. Definitely this. Honestly both the gameovers and the save birbs should probably go. They do not add to the experience or help the gameplay in any way. Nothing erodes patience for a puzzle like being ask to do the bits you've already figured out again. As for the gameovers I can laugh at the first one but beyond that they're just punishing exploration with a waste of time. I for one enjoy the art and the fetishes and themes in there and I did not have the patience to keep playing past the 5th time the game told me to go fuck myself with my curiosity.

I did that and now I'm softlocked, because you have to find 5 more coins somehow, so I'm just going to cheat, because your story content hinging on stupid shit like that is inexcusable. I shouldn't have to go back, spam through unskippable dialogue with meanings lost in translation, and interact with every single tile available to me in order to get the next scene.

Edit, if you talk to the main character from the side, your game locks, you have to speak to his face.

You can look for money, for example, on the beach or in a diner. In fact, you can collect more than 100 regular coins and 10-12 royal coins in the game.

This is not "stupid shit", but you need to play as intended by the developer. If you just want to watch pictures, then why play an RPG? Have you played the FF series for example, etc.? Guys, I really don’t understand, you don’t need dialogues, secrets, etc. (as in any normal game) are also not needed, the rules of the game are also not needed, what do you need? For example, to get to the baths you need to look for coins in locations, is this really strange for an RPG? I always write "Save often! Explore every location with EVERY CHARACTER!" Why control each character if this does not change the interaction with the outside world? If you don't like the rules, just find another game.

This is a known (and so far only) bug and will be fixed soon, but the game is playable to the end.

Translations are our first experience, the Russian language is a pain. If you come across Russian words, please tell us where they are.

Yes, it is possible to make more birds for saving. Not to delete, but to do more.

Saves will work in version 0.06 and beyond. It’s just that version 0.05 will be the last one before the quiet development of the storyline, so there may be technical issues.

This is version 0.04, many quests do not end here, and some will continue until the very end of the game. Trisha and the machine in version 0.04 have just begun. You shouldn't pay attention to them.

If you completed all content, the game will give you an "end of content" screen and shut down.

So just keep visiting all places, click on everything, it is manageable (and i usually have a low patience threshold for this)

There's just a few spots harder to figure out, like how to get past the orc in the cave earlier on. Most answers are in this thread already.

I really hate when quests have to happen in a particular order or you can't do them.

Why do I have to gather X piece of Jenny's clothing before Y piece of Jenny's clothing (that I can clearly see) can be obtained?
And if it has to be that way, why the fuck isn't it called out in the dialogue?

I'm going to guess that you've never actually had to listen to a petulant 12 year old.

If this was still March and the developer's first game, yes, a softer approach is called for because they might actually not know better (though I'm not sure how they didn't know better if they'd played a single other RPGM game).

Instead we're three further releases into the game and *this* is what we've got.

Yes, the steps forward can be found, even if someone didn't want to search this thread, fumble around enough and you'll get there.

But there is absolutely no plot reason for things to be this badly put together, it's just bad game design. The reply I received made it clear that the bad design was an intentional choice and will likely continue, so my interest in the game is that much less.

I think the concept of the game is very good, the plot so far is original, and could be fun if it weren't ruined by horrible execution of that vision.

The reviewer who left you a 1 star rating brought solid reasons to why they gave a 1 star rating and instead of learning from them, you just considered it a stab in the back.

It's a forum. Criticism and discussion are par for the course. But review-bombing and profanity-laden tirades about game design decisions for an extremely early version of a game you are playing FOR FREE is the epitome of butthurt entitlement.
