Ah btw the game was downloaded straight from itch.io.
The exe file was unpacked as soon as I fired it up in joiplay. Idk how much that changes things.

Long tap on the game's icon > Settings, enable
Path Cache. The first boot will take some time, but will be fine from then on.Joiplay cannot emulate Unity, and the other question depends on the engine with which the novel works, for example if it is made with Ren'py and you use the plugin for that engine
That actually did work.
BUT!
1. It doesn't load saves
2. It doesn't/can't use cheat injector.
Can someone please help me I keep trying to play a game on joiplay but it tells me I need to install the renpy plug in even though I have. I've tried downloading different versions of the plugin from different sources but it still says the same thing.

The Google Play links are long out of date and not recommended to install.
1. Could you be more descriptive, saves from where? Are they saves made from inside the game?
2. What is "cheat injector"? There's cheats available by tapping the arrow at the top of the screen > Magic wand
Not the original poster but I'm also having this problem. Selecting load game from the title screen and loading a save made from inside the game does not work and Joiplay crashes.
Game maker how? It says to download the plugin from the website, but there isnt one?

There isn't a Game Maker plugin, probably some testing code that was left in or a copy/paste mistake
Its went from saying its not possible in a previous update, to that there is a plugin in the most recent one ?
Why can I play renpy game when I'm trying to run a renpy game it just give me a loading screen. I wait for like 10 minute and it still give me the loading screen. Is my renpy plugin outdated? I'm using 8.1.3_7.6.3_001-patreon
Is there a fix to the chequered image that pops up before/in between animations? It has light grey and dark grey squares if that helps. I assume it's just a placeholder frame/background that I'm not meant to be seeing, it disapears after a fraction of a second and then the animation plays. It is much more noticable when going back by using the back button.
Not sure if it helps but when I gave permission to the plugins I installed through JoiPlay to access my files, I saw duplicates of the plugins in my permissions list. So the old pluggins I downloaded from the web before hearing it was wiser to download through JoiPlay itself, which I tried to delete, may somehow still be lurking round. That may not be related to the problem at all but I thought it was worth mentioning just in case.

Use Winlator or mobox in termux. emulators that use wine. I played some unity-based games this way.
Can anyone share the new renpy plugin, joiplay 1.20.520..
