I am not sure what is going on, but it just does not want to launch through Lutris, even when installing C++ in the same card.

I started by telling it the executable is "Visual-C-Runtimes-All-in-One-Jul-2025". Then the game. Same error.
So I have it run and install the executable for VC_redist.x86 and NDP48-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.Point it back to the game .exe. Still the same error. This is all in the same card.

I also had it download everything in winetricks with C++ and still get the error.

Steam explicitly tells UE devs to not include the redistributables in the builds since Steam handles it themselves, so less a "State of 2025" thing and more just a distribution platform optimizing things for distribution on the platform and not otherwise :p
I don't usually argue with Creators.
I, however, would like to point at some exemplars which... how's that expression in English? "не брезгуют"... hmm... don't see anything wrong with doing it in user-friendly manner.
Maybe the example of these small indie games would gonna help with guidelines from AAA company which clearly doesn't know what it's doing in a year 2025.

Hmmmm, what should I pick for a third option... oh, I know! !

UE redistributables - included.
We can learn from the best - or we can adhere to malpractices from people which own (but do not care).

I simply do not see any reason why I would require that every customer download ~40MB of redundant files that Steam already provides. Other games doing things incorrectly is not a compelling reason for me to disregard Valve's guidance regarding their own distribution platform :p

the gallery shows the scenes from different angles, is there any way to rotate the camera during them?

Not in-game. I think there are 3rd party tools that let users do stuff like that in Unreal Games which would presumably work for this one since I'm just using default cameras, but I've never really messed with those kinds of things so I can't really recommend any or tell you much about them. Could be a cool thing to learn since it would be applicable to more games than just this one.

For this game, I'll say outright that there's a reason the in-game camera doesn't allow for user control, since some of the animations are heavily cheated, with poses that only really make sense from the view of the camera.

The reason the gallery thumbnails show different angles is only because I wanted to make sure it was as clear as possible which scene they would take you to, and using the actual viewing angle for the animation (picked to look as good as possible at fullscreen) often was unclear at thumbnail size.

Any comment on Linux compatibility? For some reason, the game in it's current state seems like it is very troublesome when attempting to play on Linux. Even with compatibility layers. Steam > Proton and Lutris on my side just really do not like it, where as I can play 99% of any other Windows games I have come across. If you are not aware, there are a few messages in this thread a page or two back that regard my attempts to run this game. Best of luck, by the way!

Out of curiosity, are you working on a new project?
Yep :giggle:

It's not at any sort of state where it's ready to be shown (I prefer not showing anything in-game or WIP until the game is pretty much in the playtesting stage), but it's coming along nicely and am happy with how things are turning out. It could still change pretty drastically though, so anything below should be taken as very tentative and subject to change. I've scrapped projects that were further along, so although I am obviously not currently planning on scrapping anything I can't predict what the future will hold :p

Some little teaser bits about the Unnamed-Unannounced game, just for fun:
  • Completely unrelated to Pleasure Delving
    • Different characters, different kinks, (thankfully) different gameplay.
  • Much darker tone.
    • The game is leaning pretty hard into horror aesthetics and maybe even gameplay.
    • The lewd content is not intended to be significantly darker.
      • Imagine something closer to 'Two consenting adults having sex in a scary environment' as opposed to 'Kinky sex with nightmare demons' (The latter can be fun, it's just not the current goal ;)).
  • Significantly simpler gameplay with more player freedom.
    • You can walk! You can choose where to walk!
    • Even less writing than Pleasure Delving somehow! Probably more writing in this post than in the game!
    • 1st Person Perspective
      • (I am probably still going to be doing the fixed-camera-angle animation-cheating I just talked about from Pleasure Delving, though. Restricting camera angles for sex scenes allows for much more interesting and creative compositions. Obviously it's possible to not cheat poses and have the animation work from any possible viewing angle, but I feel like you miss out on some really cool stuff from doing things that way and I am not an amazing animator, so having as many tools available to help myself out is something I prioritize. Anyways, mini-rant over :geek: )
  • Another short game, similar in scope to Pleasure Delving.
If all goes well I will probably start my own thread for it this time around, but that's for sometime in the future when it's actually ready to be played.

Any comment on Linux compatibility?
Not something I can really do much about, sadly :( I know absolutely nothing about gaming on Linux. I know that the game can technically be played on Linux—since I know it works on Steam Deck's OS—but that's going through Steam directly and is entirely on their end. I only submitted a Windows build to them and I can't even build the project myself for Linux.

Ooh, a horror porn game that's NOT just scary monster rape? Sign me up! Not that there's necessarily anything wrong with scary monster rape, but it tends to fall into a very limited scope of tropes.
I hope there's at least one sex scene during a thunderstorm.

Very good game, you are talented, but I have a question about two artifacts that were randomly generated only once: a chest and a cup. If there is some kind of interaction with the key (artifact), and what about the cup, and perhaps I was not paying attention but did not see the effect of the gift (with maximum relations)

Thanks for the kind words and for enjoying the game :giggle:

You're correct to think the key and sealed chest are related as that was the original plan, but sadly they don't do anything. The actual issue was that it just was not fun at all to try to hunt for relic pairings since the game didn't really have mechanics to support it, and just replaying the game over and over hoping to get lucky was not something I wanted to encourage.

Similarly the cup originally had plans to be more, but it wasn't seen through for similar-ish reasons. In a larger, more polished and more enjoyable game I would have wanted there to be fun secrets to uncover, but as it became clear that the game would be better off as something enjoyed in smaller doses I did not want to "force" any grinding to find secrets behind rare occurrences.

The chalice and chest stayed in the game as ineffective relics just to have a bit of 'mystery' to the game, similar to how stats aren't explained and much is left vague. I don't necessarily still agree with that decision, but it's the one I made at the time.

the effect of the gift (with maximum relations)
It provides a stat bonus to any companions you have with you that have high affection.
The tool tip says "Full Affection" but it's actually one step below that, since it's a really sucky relic if you have to have basically 100%'d the game before it doing anything

The Goblin Companion gets +20 Speed, the Lizard Companion gets +35 Mana, and the Demon Companion gets +10 Attack and +3 Block.
