How's this game in the romance department? Like is this game a proper dating sim or theres basically no reason for this game to be on this site?
This is not a dating simulator (according to the developer), but in the future you will have a choice of a certain number of characters with whom you can build a romantic relationship (half of whom are men, unfortunately)How's this game in the romance department? That sucks. Most females have such 'interesting' designs. I really hope Sabrinas on that list. This is not a dating simulator (according to the developer), but in the future you will have a choice of a certain number of characters with whom you can build a romantic relationship (half of whom are men, unfortunately)
yeah it's annoying that our Mc always refers to himself as bisexuell ...This is not a dating simulator (according to the developer), but in the future you will have a choice of a certain number of characters with whom you can build a romantic relationship (half of whom are men, unfortunately)
I know what you mean. I get thrown out of diving into stories every time this topic starts, but for some reason the developer is adamant on this issue, to the point that we are not even given a choice (Are you gay Harry) It's pretty funny considering the fact that we're being asked if we want to see obscene language.yeah it's annoying that our Mc always refers to himself as bisexuell ...
That is so true.... a weird hill to die on.I know what you mean. For how organically the writing flows with each characters' personality for most of the story, the whole "I'm bi" bits honestly feels like a second person stepped in and stuffed them in for how much they cut up the natural flow of the dialog each time they appear now.I don't mind that the MC is bisexual since it gives everyone (with the exception of lesbians) a chance to be with whoever they want, my issue is that it's being repeatedly hammered that they're bi and every update involves at minimum two peices of dialogue that pretty much go "I'm gaaaa bi *drool*" it's very braindead and makes it less of a throwaway fact that you see once put it on the character bio and ignore, and more of a actual character trait that has been ruining modern storytelling.
The repeated use has made the MC go from [A Trainer that wishes to be a Pokemon Champion who is also bi] into [A Bi Trainer that wishes to be a Pokemon Champion] it's very pandery and annoying, and it really ruins the character when it comes to the actual main story where this occurs repeatedly. I much prefer the MC during character storylines, because we actually see who they are as a person, how they effect peoples lives by being themselves, and giving proper add ons to the main story without any throwaway lines of "me bi me bi." If it weren't for those pieces of dialog this game would actually just be a slog for me due to how mid the main story is without the side characters and how the battles are just me vomiting my poke-knowledge against a noob-friendly game instead of a geniune challenge (exception bring the Alteria fight since it's not really noob-friendly and is a unique feature to the game).
I think the developer REALLY wants us to know and not forget this detail that is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for the plot, but even he himself does not know how to adequately weave it into the plot and we have ridiculous moments during the same Silver scenes. For how organically the writing flows with each characters' personality for most of the story, the whole "I'm bi" bits honestly feels like a second person stepped in and stuffed them in for how much they cut up the natural flow of the dialog each time they appear now.
While I don't mind Red being bi for the story, I honestly just feel that there's a better way to organically write it into the dialog instead of making it a brief cut-in that can interrupt the scene. At this point, i'm more inclined to believe the dev is doing this to trigger people who absolutely can't stand the idea the MC might find men attractive as well, and not just women, and who's made sure to let that displeasure known over and over.
Slightly more seriously, MC's behavior in this regard is no different from flirting with/complimenting women which he also does regularly in the game.
I need help guys when i load my save pikachu forget freelectric did i need to make a new save (sorry i'm french and not that good with english )
Refer to this postAs mentioned, the Dawn battle issue stems from Pikachu's ability being swapped to Static/Lightning Rod.
I changed the pokedex.rpy file to make sure Pikachu can ONLY learn Freelectric instead.
Download the file here and overwrite it in the games/database folder.
Or change it yourself, on line 106.
I have no idea if this will screw up the game at some other point, but this at least allowed me to finish the Dawn fight.
Sometimes changes to game's script cause RenPy to rollback a bit when it loads the save state, or otherwise jump to another spot. Because what it has saved doesn't match what it finds in the new revision of the game. It's just how it works. It's the second time I started the update and load my save only to find out it didnt start where I ended last time... A bit confusing for me, especially since I didnt play it for sometime.
well what I actually mean is that some new stories are added before where last updates ends, making me think if I missed something when I start playing the update. But what u said is also one possible case.Sometimes changes to game's script cause RenPy to rollback a bit when it loads the save state, or otherwise jump to another spot. Ah. I believe it was stated in earlier update notes it'd be the case -- previous release was a "preview" for half-finished game week so to speak, so the folks with less patience could check it out. And now this latest week or so is completed, or at least closer to completion than it was.well what I actually mean is that some new stories are added before where last updates ends, making me think if I missed something when I start playing the update.
