Out of curiosity, is it just week 8 again with just those changes, or does it go a little further into the main story? Because I will admit I was a little caught off guard with my save starting at the end of week 8 only to begin at the start of the chapter again. (Haven't had much time to play yet and wondering if I should just speed to the new content.)

pretty much, but you get an item that will be removed in the next update, when you finish the last day it will take you back to the 17th of the month so you'll be able to finish anything you missed. plus there are some items in Gardenia's shop, Mostly Evolution items & a couple of Potions in the City Store

The tink sound every time you reach the end of a page of dialogue may be accurate to the real games, but man is it annoying. I turned off the sound after that. Interestingly, you can have the music going even with the Sound set to 0. It does turn off the voices, which is unfortunate.
can we make the Pikachu a Alolan Raichu? cuz i fucking hate Pikachu, its the most over used Pokémon ever, just give me a Charmander or a Gastly, shit ill take a Magikarp and a water stone any day

So, the main character is bi apparently. I did a search on this thread afterward and found that it's prevalent throughout. Looks like you can choose who you want to romance, but I'll reiterate what others have said, and state that getting to choose whether or not your character is straight, gay, or bi from the beginning would make everyone happy.
