You know, I am noticing for the first time that the summary on the header post that was copied from PAL is actually incorrect now, as the game is set in university and not high school
Thanks for the update! I assume it was one of the new characters after they took over the project?Hey, thought I'd let people know that week 9 is technically out in the Discord, but is going through its last few iterations of public beta testing still. Will probably take a few more days if you don't want to join the server.
If you're wondering why this update took so much longer, one of the artists dropped out of the project and several assets including 2 entire sprite sets had to be replaced. The community overwhelmingly voted to only release the update once no placeholder assets were required. On the bright side, it means a lot of the non-artist work for future updates has been done in advance, so hopefully things should be smoother from here on out. Also, changes have been made to the art council and asset submission process such that this sort of delay will not happen again.
Sonia and one other non-bondable character were changed. Artists on PALF are generally asked to imitate Jeremy's artstyle from PAL as best they can, but there are limitations of course. Thanks for the update! I assume it was one of the new characters after they took over the project?
At least i remember some of the new gen cast they included had a vastly different artstyle
..YaY...NEW PAL: Forever! update! Week 9 is out, and so are ten new bond scenes, new uses for the character traits, CONTESTS, new dungeons, a new wild area with over twenty new 'mons, more new characters than you can shake a stick at, and more! DL links below.

I think one thing you're overlooking in your analysis is leveling. This game is really slow with leveling, and very strict with type coverage. So if a Pokémon is balanced around end-game, and their evolutions/moves reflect that, picking one of these Pokémon would be a more difficult choice/less fun as opposed to one meant for the beginning of the game. For people looking for a strong build, your starters are actually, mostly, a one man army. Pikachu can do everything, and Larvitar (later Tyranitar) is a perfect tank, weaknesses he is slow, vulnerable to Water, Ground, Fighting and Steel. Or you take Bagon (Later Salamence) Very fast and high damage, vulnerable to Ice, Rock and Electric.
Best Moves (Tyranitar): Fire Punch (Or Superpower), Crunch, Stone Edge, Earthquake.
Best Moves (Salamence): Dragon Dance, Outrage, Earthquake, Fire Blast (Or Roost if you think your Salamence cant tank the attacks).
I cant say if all of this is possible in the game, this is tournament knowledge, not ingame knowledge.
Even the options for interacting with people is pretty limited. You have to commit to just a few characters to be able to see their dialoge. Sad that you basically can't friends or have some kind of bond with all of them. I guess it makes a replay more viable, can't say I like how tight the time restraints are though.I see it doesn't have any sexual content, but what about a little ecchi?
Are you using cheats or code? I got the same problem when I used prompt codes. Had to restart everything with a clean save.hey is there a bug in the new version? when i face dawn in the new version pikachu faints even when its the last pokemon so it ends up a game over. this is during the tournement where dawn has her altaira
The game apparently glitches if you use cheat to max out Pikachu's exp, since it doesn't allow the fight script trigger properly. That wouldn't happen to be your case, would it..?hey is there a bug in the new version? when i face dawn in the new version pikachu faints even when its the last pokemon so it ends up a game over. this is during the tournement where dawn has her altaira
