No chance it gets animated. None of the GBA romhack games use animations, there's nintendo DS which has animations for their pokemon sprites but I don't think any of the DS romhacks have tried going for custom sprite animation.
Funny enough, I got it wrong earlier thinking Gen 3 had gender differentiated sprites... but I know for a fact that Emerald pioneered animated sprites for Pokémon entering battles. Unfortunately, I don't think trainers got their own animated sprites until Gen 5, and those use a far more advanced process than what Emerald / DPPt used for their animated 'mon sprites.

Still, it'd be really cool to see if someone stupid, brave or dedicated enough actually put in work to make (and code) full animations of sprites instead of just "simple" redraws. Anything beyond that, though, is outside the realm of possibility.

This game gave me an idea...
Are there any new porn games which I need to run using DOSBox or any other archaic pc software? I am just curious.
And yeah, I doubt this game will have anything innovative with such an engine and probably will be soon abandon due to technical issues.

It's not documented, but they appear to have messed with the gender ratios for wild Pokémon. Kind of annoying when you want to set up for breeding. I wonder if that's why they made sure you can find Ditto?

At that point you might as well just use one of the RPGM pokemon templates instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with a rom hack. We've got a small boat load of RPGM pokemon games that are ridiculously loyal to the mechanics and feel of the actual games they're parodying.

This ROMhack is already doing some pretty out there stuff. They've implemented an actual day/night cycle (which was absent in all Gen3 games), items and some Pokémon from newer generations, and even implemented some form of mega evolution on top of all that. I assume there's a bunch of other stuff there's doing too, I just haven't looked into it that far quite yet.

Well yeah, I know that, it's the reason that I said it's not gonna happen cuz it's unrealistic.

...that being said, it's also my qualm with a game made this way by having limitations of the system it aims at cuz instead it can be easily replicated in Pokemon Essentials with the extra features a PC can bring. Plus, no need for an emulator. After all, Pokemon Cultivation, Entracing Wishes, and Lewd Virus are made this way. Not saying they're good, but they have an edge whereas this one lacks.

Is any of it balanced towards or against the player? Those kinds of changes are drastic, moreso for a fairly early Pokemon title, so I'd imagine some things can get outta hand in terms of playability.

I could be imagining things, but it feels like they've increased the rate for things like pickup giving you a new item or catching a pokemon with a held item. Plus there's multiple ways to buy key items for free because apparently the dev keeps wiping save files on update.
