Is there an easy mode or cheat codes for faster progression? I really hate Pokemon's gameplay, so far I've seen only one scene and had to go through enough battles that I'm already too bored to play it further. lol
Pick up Cheat Engine. Find a value you want to change (like money). Say you have 5000 bucks. Multiply that by 2 then add 1, ending up with 10001. Put that into Cheat Engine and click New Scan. You'll wind up with a long list of results, so you need to reduce them by modifying the value you're searching for. Do this by buying or selling something, changing your current cash amount. Say you bought something for 100. Your cash is now at 4900. Multiply by 2, add 1, you get 9801. Put that into the search bar in Cheat Engine and hit Next Scan. Your results should be much reduced, potentially to only a single result. If it isn't, modify the value again (buy or sell something), multiply your resulting cash by 2, add 1, Scan for this new value. Eventually you'll have only 1 result. Double-click the result to put it into the bottom, where you can change the value and lock it so it won't change on its own. You can change the value you just saved to change your money. Remember: Double plus 1. The ending number in the value must be an odd number, because that's how RPG Maker VX Ace does things. If you change it to an even number, your game will almost certainly crash.
This also works on Pokemon IVs, EVs, and Stats. IVs cap at 31 however (63 in CE), EVs cap at 252 and you can only have a max of 252 in 2 stats and a 6 in another (and no other EVs) otherwise it throws errors after each KO (505 and 13 in CE). Stats can go up to 999 (1999 in CE), but after every KO they'll revert, so you'll want to lock them in once you change them. Exp can be modified similarly, but you want to modify the Exp Points value rather than the To Next Level value. Modify the value enough to have the To Next Level value become a negative number and your monster will level the next time Exp is gained. Be aware, however, that giving your Pokemon enough exp to level multiple times by doing this causes a long lag time as the game has to catch up. Just wait and eventually it'll be fine. Rather than messing with Exp values, just start doing the Hex Maniac's quest to get some Exp candy. You only need 2 of an item to find the value and give yourself as many as you want. In this case, rather than buying and selling, you can give and take the items from your Pokemon. Start with the initial value, 2 in this example, double plus 1 to get 5. Search for 5. Give one of the items to your Pokemon. Refine the search for 3. Take the item back. Search for 5 again. Eventually you'll have one result. Then you can change that value to whatever amount you want, as long as it's an odd number.
