The game concept is interesting and I hope you do continue developing it.
Is the game hard? Uh...no. Not really.
Is it grindy? Oh...hell yes. That is about in line with normal pokemon games though. Try playing Gen1 with a fire starter. No type advantage on the early gyms and you get railroaded just as bad there.
Possible UX suggestion to promote replay may be a difficulty option that scales XP gain to reduce the grind slightly. You are making a hentai game and you will constantly get complaints about difficulty because the Venn diagram between people who play porn games and people who want challenging gameplay is a pretty slim overlap that skews heavily towards 'ez-mode' when it comes to hentai games.
Alternatively, just add similar XP trainers like the Audino trainer in more places. Like a level 10/15 trainer in the starting area similar to Audino to grind the early levels and cash. People who want a challenge can skip it and people who want to speed things up can use it. Repeat this as you progress with different variations as you develop more to make it insteresting.
Personally I missed the XP share. Would've been nice to be given that with the starter package or made it more obvious to get instead of somewhere else that you can soft lock yourself out of it. Maybe use the calling features of the pokegear to get it through the mail if you didn't exhaust her dialog in person before the gym and get it through the mail. Could also consider putting it for sale in the pokemart with the first badge.
Would look forward to seeing more content with the pokegirls going forward. Either the popular classics, some alternative evolutions for the female pokemon variations, or more results from those breeding experiments.
Maybe get rid of the 'hidden grove' and instead shift the narrative to that locked stairwell in the lab. It would make sense for there to be the proper 'facilities' for the breeding experiments and raising pokemon to interact with. Maybe make it a virtual space like the computer box is supposed to be narratively so it can be visited from storage PCs as you travel to interact with and flesh out your collection of poke-wifus.
So narrative is: Rescue Bunneary > Take to the lab to be healed > Interact with her in the lab > Add to virtual enviroment to revisit/play with from any PCs. The PC would then also act as a building gallery as you go without having to make something new or do backtracking travel to revisit.
