oh my god i figured it out. the big trees on the top route cover the left route with shrubs. thats crazy. man you gotta fix that. where the guy talks about how you need to talk to officer jenny. the left has 3 trees. you gotta remove one tree so we can see the hidden route

Did you ever get past the first gym? I evolved fennekin but can't seem to do anything else, and the path below the garden isn't letting me go through, and the forest seems like you should be able to go past the first trees, but no

Didn't know the first gym is a double battle. I don't really want to catch a normal mon so I went with just the starter. Good thing Viola doesn't gatekeep like the twins from gen 3 and allowed me to battle her in singles.

I know there's a lot more girls to be added but I won't mind if it's just Hex Maniac Sayoko. Is she the rival in this game?

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Just exit the glade and you can now pass through the previously blocked route to the next town in the right.

Maybe you encountered some kind of bug, perhaps? That instance is just a scene to introduce the large rock that can guide you on how to progress through the game. I never got stuck there.

But I debugged the game, same result with level 16 Fennekin. How about you?

I had nothing better to do so I tried to recreate your situation.

I tried with a lv 15 Fennekin, a lv16 Fennekin, and a lv16 Braixen. Both Fennekins didn't froze. The Braixen one did froze.

So in conclusion, you need it to be just a Fennekin before that instance. I did that with me just lv12 so I never experienced that bug.

How long did you wait for Fennekin until she finished jumping?

Actually, the game never froze. Fennekin kept jumping randomly on that spot.
