Completionist part of me wants to answer all the routes...
I don't self-insert, so for some story games I'll take options that seem to fit a character or interaction well (as they have been shown), or are the most interesting/compelling. I dislike boringly moral or immoral choices, and prefer greyish as part of the narrative. Same as above posts for comedic games - if it reaches a level of ridiculousness or meta then all is fine.
Sheer pettiness or jarring character shifts are kind of annoying though (again, unless taken not at all seriously). Same with pseudo-intellectual 'big bads' or white knights. Wary of the pragmatic answer because some times it seems wholly inconsistent in a game as to the character. However, it is equally fun when you have an 'evil' character with a great romantic route, or a degenerate moralist. It sounds hypocritical or inconsistent to answer that way, but I guess I favor a certain development. Case in point, not a sadist nor a masochist, but I do love a good reversal when portrayed. Not just a gap.
The 'sin' of some games is more when they stop being entertaining/interesting, for what they are.
