There's a happy medium, as far as I'm concerned. If you were to play either of my games you'd quickly understand that I'm not trying to tell you to have nothing but sex, but you'd also, ideally, come to understand that sex isn't endgame content. There is 1 sex scene in Seraphim Academy so far. It's right at the beginning, it's not the sexiest thing ever, in fact the sequence we are working on now, even though it has little to no nudity, is probably hotter to me than that sex scene was, but, in spite of being a very story driven game, it has sex, it has nudity, it has a fairly good masturbation scene. The Things We Do For Love has only one erotic sequence that is meant to be taken that way, the other scene, a rape scene at the start, isn't really meant to be seen as sexy, but to intentionally put the audience in a state of emotional understanding that helps them emotionally connect with the rest of the plot. That game is pure romance so far other than the openning scene, and the current sexual scenes are both imaginary, but they're there.
I don't think a romance in the "girl realizes she's attracted to girl and they fall in love" and that's the whole plot sort of way is a very good game. However, "Girl realizes she's attracted to girl, they fall in love, and due to their blood relationship have to navigate the complex social landscape around them in order for their love to be accepted or at least remain hidden" is quite entertaining. And since that's a longer story, there's plenty of opportunity to sprinkle in more and more sexual content as the game advances. Tender love between sisters is great. Tender love between sisters, hiding from their family on thanksgiving to have a moment of lust is amazing.
