New bugs in 78dev1:
- Can no longer change staff clothing.
- Special NPC/PAs can be reassigned to other PA roles, probably makes them lose their original bonus. Opps!
- Maid & nurse hats still fly off sometimes.
Fixed bugs (that I've noticed):
- Can now use cum buttons without having to hit the random pose button first, so you can just skip straight to the scene that you want. Nice!
- Maria no longer appears in hotel after she's hired by the MC.
My latest ideas & suggestions:
1) Change how special PA training works (Jenny, etc). Leave current method of model/actress training in, but also add a second one for the special PAs. Any model who is under contract, available and not doing anything that day will be sent to train with one of your special PAs instead. The will gain 1 skill point depending on which PA they train with: Jenny teaches fitness, the librarian raises intelligence, the cougar teaches sex skills, Maria raises beauty (thus making her a very valuable PA!), and the punk chick raises their potential (since she's a marketing specialist). Not sure what the nurse can raise, so instead have her gain an additional power of reducing the likelihood of your crew catching STDs in the first place (thus saving you money on STD checkups, or perhaps acting as a free level of it). Which trait they raise would simply be whichever one is lowest (random in case of a tie). The number of models per day that can be trained by a PA should be based on their level, thus finally giving you a reason to train them up.
2) If you want simplified management, or perhaps a new role for them in addition to whatever else you have planned, just have them be studio heads. Create an optional manager slot for every studio. An assigned manager will then add a bonus equal to 5% of their own skill level to the effective skill levels of the everyone else assigned there. Thus a level 10 manager would make everyone else work 50% better, potentially raising their effective levels from 10 to 15 and driving the quality ratings through the roof. But add in a caveat: The manager's traits/quirks (Cantankerous, Equality, etc) will have their effects on the crew the same as models do. Meaning that obnoxious or unlikable managers will lower the happiness of the crews while positive traits such as Happy or Popular can make raise their happiness or bring in more fans.
3) Does the higher quality cell phone from the mall add anything to the quality of the amateur films you do at home? Because it should, even if it's just a small amount. In fact I see no reason why all the bought equipment can't be used at home. Just because there are no staff to run it (and thus no staff bonuses) you should still be able to just set it on auto and go. At least give half credit for them.
4) For the cheap (and evil) bastards out there, have an option to secretly film your dates and publish them afterward. This would cost nothing (because they don't know they're being filmed) but will hurt your company's reputation for this unethical behavior, and may result in you getting sued if they find out. Likelihood of them finding out is in proportion to how popular the released film is - which means the better it is (and the more money you made) the more likely they are to find out and sue you (or firebomb your car, or whatever). The hard part here is that said dates would have to be saved to the registry (so as to reappear later), but be hidden from the player as a model.
5) Familiarity creates comfort. Meaning that the more times a model does a type of scene the more their likes/dislikes drifts in favor of that type scene at the expense of something else. Just like the character creation sliders. They have a FFM of 30% and a Boy-Girl of 50%. They shoot a FFM scene and their FFM goes up to 31% while their Boy-Girl drops to 49%. This shows that they're getting uses to doing FFM while losing interest in plain old Boy-Girl action.
6) Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker. Get a model boozed up and you can raise their willingness to do
any kind of scene by a certain amount. Downside is that overall quality will take an equally large hit, but combined with the above it may be a way to get their foot in the door to something that they otherwise would refuse to do
at all. And once she's done that first lesbian scene (or whatever) you can, over time, open her up to doing them more often and with less happiness loss. Plus booze is
way cheaper than drugs.
7) The sports car is nice, but a limo is even better - plus you can do porn shoots
inside it! Remember Boogie Nights? Exactly! Doesn't raise charisma but if you meet a girl who's weakness is "rich guys" you automatically succeed on the charisma test. Opens up new PA job "Chauffeur," who increases the odds of meeting potential models and doubles as a security guard when not driving you around. Handy!
8) Add a "talent search" option to the website. Costs money to set up and maintain but, based on positive company Reputation, increases the success chances of PAs assigned to the talent search job. Now wannabe models will come to you and apply online - all your PA has to do is sift through them to find what you're looking for rather than crawl all over town on foot.
9) Website category "Amateur" - inverts the math for model popularity; lower is better when stuff is put here. Needless to say you hidden camera date-fuck camera stuff will excel here, as such girls always have zero popularity because they technically aren't even models (yet).
10) Paid vacations. Model happiness stuck at zero? Want her back in action before next month? Throw some money at her to take some time off at the spa or whatever and get her back into action faster. Can also be used for grumpy, underpaid staff in lieu of actual permanent raises.
