Cool, that makes sense, but then the logic for me would be that for $5,000 a month any cameraman would be willing and happy to hold a camera 6 times a week filming people fucking.it's intentional. i've mentioned this in the changelog, maybe even patreon post i dont remember. not in the game tho, my mistake.
staff actually lose happiness now when they're working (-13 per shoot is a base value).
overworking them, like 6 days a week, will get them really unhappy. 6*-13 = -78, not counting
girl's traits (obnixious, crazy..). this also affects the mood, probably too much as of now.
some manager perks can give some hap back. it's +5 hap per day for now, might bump that to +10.
staff happiness is restored a bit on sundays (+40) and
they also get some happiness back during the night. entirely based on their salary. so if you overpay you can get easily get away with 6 day workweeks. if you pay 10% more than requested, you'll get +5 hap per day. if you pay 50% more it's +25.
i'll need to limit that i guess. or maybe not. once you have 50 people, overpaying them all will make a dent.
i do need to balance things perfectly so that managers are super useful and "bad" chicks dont fucking destroy your whole production, but do have an effect.
it may also be a bug or two in this whole system as of now. on first glance i think bad chicks have the opposite effect lol.
staff also don't leave right away. when they reach 0 happiness, you'll have a 1 week period to sort shit out. raise the pay or give them a break from shooting (have to make a shortcut).
in the future i may add staff buildings and all that to help with that.
so thats that. this should be in the game from the start, i just didnt make it and have no reason why.
This overworking logic makes sense only if you raise the 100% happiness very rapidly, if there is only for example 1 shoot a week. But right now you'd need literally to pay everyone including helpers between $6,000 and $7,000 a month to make them happy with a full week's work, which financially will lead you to bankrupcy.
So a director would reach full happiness with $1,000 a month to start with, but then if you want to make him/her work Mo-Sa, you're gonna have to cough up more.
Perhaps make these variables more explicit, by adding (even ) more functions such as working contracts stating numbers of working days, which would show for each kind of working frequency (1 day/week, 3/week, 6/week, etc.) the required level of salary to reach maximum happiness?...
