I don't understand how camshows work, when I try to set it up models will be annoyed even with a 1% cut, what am I doing wrong ?
If they have ever done anything else they automatically hate doing camshows. This even included Hidden Camera even if they never find out about it, because ???.
Two new bugs discovered for 0.90dev:
1) If you fire a male staff member his wife shows up to plead for his job. Even if you refuse, he gets added back to your roster and you have to pay to fire him a second time.
2) At the end of the month the bank ejects all you money back into your wallet.
There a similar bug (been around for a while) where girls switch to breast type $saggy when they take their bras off, even if that isn't their real breast type.

the last 2 are game ending if I can't get rid of them, staff and actress unhappiness -5 is massive. is there a cheat I can do to get rid of it? no way my company survives this. if I spend 200k a month on suicide prevention it only gets me +1.1 staff happiness, but a rival company can be made I'm spending 1k on marketing camshows and decide to inflict the apocalypse on me

All cam girls start unhappy. Given time as they start earning they will be ecstatic.... unless you take more than 50% cut.
If they have scenes it does impact their earnings, so only use fresh models to maximize their earnings.
Ok but how much time do they need ? And if I don't do scenes how do I make the scenes for their personal website ?
As far I'm aware, for cam shows it works best to build fame first (e.g. in photo studio and via marketer), put her on contract with No Porn option, keep marketer pumping her fame, make sure your web admins keep with demand. Do not make scenes with her, you will do that when she's ready to move to porn later. Make sure to set your cut to a % that gives them +1 happines, adjust it every week or so (It can be set to below zero for girls that are not on contract, cuz they're gone every few days, for few days, not worth it, get them contracts, but read below first).
If you want easy money with cams, there are few special girls that will sign contracts on lvl 2 reputation: yoga girl, library girl and ebony police girl, get them, get marketing staff and add fame via marketer. Recruit these asap, put them in photoshot first, when you get to lvl 2 rep, give them contracts with no porn option (length depends on your funds, i usually take loan here and give them max i could afford, usually 12mo), put them into cams, by end of March they'll be generating about 2k$ daily/~50k month each. Do not make scenes with them, no personal website, nothing, just photos, then cams.

You gonna need 10k for office, 5k for photoshoot, so i would say, try to keep having 10k in reserve, keep buying stuff when you won't go below that. I prefer to use as good equipment in photo studio as i can afford, preferably 80 or 100 quality, so i can reliably do photo work contracts. I would say about 60-70k?, you can get loan though, rest is kinda RNG, but consider such approach:
- train your inteligence and fitness, get laptop from store
- use that to get some cheap prostitutes, do a bit porn with them, so you have spare money, use distributor contracts for max money, fans don't matter that much at this point yet,
- get as much special characters you can, especially those 3 from last post, also blonde in the bar, both from the beach, gym girl too, put them all into photoshot, DON'T DO PORN with them yet, so they slowly get fame and do scenes with prostitutes in meantime
- if you already have photo shot and few special characters, get 50k loan for 2 months, it will allow to buy good camera and lighting for your photo studio, get some cheap director (doesn't matter, really, lvl 1 is ok for now) and marketer
- keep repeating scenes with prostitutes and work contracts for photos, events and if possible, anonymous porn requests (ignore geo requests for now) until those 3 mentioned in post above have like 20 fame and you have 2 stars reputation
- get admin, start cams, put your lvl 2 models into cams, keep grinding until you can afford contracts for your camgirls or until you pay first loan, take next loan, give them contracts, with contracts they'll be working for 25+ days a month
- get a few PA so you can get some related bonuses
- profit
That's how it looks for me usually, whether to take loan or not, depends on rng from contracts, you can as well keep it easy and not take loan at all, just give yourself more time. Just don't do porn with those you put into photo studio or cams, you will do much later on, when they're famous, or not, make them GFs or whatever, your call. With that, you should be able to have cams set and running in ~3 months, depends on RNG really.
And just a note, again, don't rush into porn, especially with special characters, porn far is more profitable when you have profesional studio with high end staff, equipment and famous girls. Though it's required early on, just think about it that it's necessity, you just want to get some money to start photo/cams, that will cover you day-to-day operation for few months, with surplus money allowing you to expand into professional porn. Also you need a lot of fans for it to be worth it.
Also, if you find random girls with Blue Balls perk, they're a good candidate for forever camgirl too.

coz in the version you're playing it takes individual values. i've changed it to average. triggers less often.
also difficulty now affects all the sanctions, so normal isnt what you're experiencing now. thats more like values for hard.

Those are all traits. Perks are player bonuses.
Prostitutes, rival and agency models are not camgirls. The career progression is a penalty on cam earnings, so having none is the best.

Ran out of money again, luckily I made a save when I just opened the company so not so much grinding this time... guess I have to try and go slower? idk. I put all the famous girls into the camshow and have all the PAs set to either increase earnings or decrease expenses. maybe I should be using contracts? no clue.... As others have stated studios are pointless until you are rolling in the dough, way too much work rn lol

I think the photo studio is completely skipable at starting the business. It isn't necessary to have at beginning, didn't bring passive income, and didn't helping much in the raising fames of the girls like if you put on a marketers advertising on them while they camming. But generate costs and expenses and require a director (and staff), a good equipment and very good models to be able to do work orders (you can get painful penalties for doing low quality work orders). So this shouldn't be priority here, only get when affordable to your budget. IMO alternatively if you have 5k surplus starting with a studioroom, putting existing equipment there, hiring the worst director, and doing upcoming shooting there manually. This way you get rid of amateur video penalty on videos, and scheluding solos for the cheapest models likely makes some profit even publishing on porntube too.
For me the photostudio means a pool of girls with high appearances and almost zero likeliness to do other things or doesn't fit in any other position, but there can gain some fans passively.
And two important thing is missing from your useful summary: if you hasn't a really reason with them (like having high potential) it isn't really worth using girls with low beauty to photoshoot, and with low beauty and sex skill to camshow (they just wasting resources for almost nothing in return). Secondly the advertising the key how fast you can earn money, fame and reputation, and how much. (Keeping webaddmins efficiency and camshows advertising near 100% brings the max profit out from this, makes camgirls more famous and happier too what means they will work more and earn more)
Also taking out loan is dangerous in this stage (opening the company), advised to do more work orders instead if you really need some surplus cash in your hand (IMO). If you can afford advertising a littlebit on company also can helps to get more and accomplishable orders with a little better payouts and/or conditions.

- is the effect really permanent? (like girls like this will spawn continuously now? or it go back to normal after some time ?
- does the recruited girls stay like this too? or they go back to normal after a moment ?
i dont know, but i suppose it require some cure to go back to normal (player character/game effect)...

what do you mean by 5g? like 5 grammes?
i tried to take around 20 shroom, effect dissapeared after a moment... but maybe it's a conflict/bug with some events or something.
it pretty cool that it affect every NPCs, including the specials one like cops, hotel-con, girl at beach etc..
definitly make the game way more fun for me.Sure it's skippable, I didn't say my way is the only way, probably not the best, just shared what works for me. However, Photo studio with 100/100 equipment helps a lot early on nevertheless, for me at least, photo orders in combination with hostess work orders allows rep 2 by mid march. Ofc marketer targeting company is a plus too. Sure, you can skip it and go cams early on, why the hell not, only downside would be lack of contracts, because it's highly likely you'll have rep 1. I just tend to start with photo studio early on, just keeping all special characters (they're all good early on, so you don't need to be picky for work orders), building fame, and counting on RNG Jesus to roll some highly paying contracts. I also tend to pick Right Hand PA with more work orders just for that.
As for model stats, I was talking in my post exclusively about 'how to start, and not bankrupt too early', and that's easiest leveraging whatever special characters you have (least RNG dependent), same goes for taking loans, this is ofc risky, but if you're using special characters, they're kind of predictable, so you after few restarts you know how much they gonna make on cams.
For 4 special characters that you can contract on rep lvl 2 you can say how much they gonna be making on cams, I'm gonna attach a pic below from end of April. They're all on non-porn, 6-12mo contracts. This looks very similar for each restart I do. With such income, if you have them all by end of March, there's not really any risk in taking loan (but in March/April, earlier it's risky and RNG dependend).
For random characters stats and traits do matter, but if you're new to the game, it's best to have at least some passive income early on, so you can experiment on your own.
And it's completely possible to use same equipment and staff between porn studios and photo studios (do pics contracts on sundays, or after they end shoting a scene). Personally for me it's too much clicking and I'd forget about it, but sure, go for it.
