I am almost certainly just being daft here, but could someone explain to me, like I'm an idiot, how to set up shoots between non-player actors? I have been scouring the interface but I can't seem to find anywhere to select who participates in the shoot, so the outcome is always selected actor+main character.

to setup non-player scenes you need a studio.
First, go to the mall, hire a director, and buy a light and a camera (dont go to expensive, i usually start with the 40%)
Second, go to the studio, its the camera icon on the left hand of your screen
Buy the studio (2), click the studio button (3), assign the director, camera and light.
Click the production button (4), find the work order you want to complete, set the settings on the left to match (solo, ff, fff, whatever and if there is a theme, like home or office). then assign the girl(s) you want. if you dont see a specific model, change the date to later, she might be unavailable.
check the work order for any tags, assign them on the last tab, and finish.

Studio scenes will take all morning, will be edited in the afternoon, and if you have the publishing PA will be published the following day.

If you mean porn stars their happiness should recover over a few days without shooting a scene, or might be dropping more than it should per scene if she doesn't like the scene type and/or partner.

If you mean company staff, they need raises.

Also check traits of studio staff and models. Some negative traits may affect everyone involved in the shoot.

Shoot amateur videos. The button with the camera on the top right of her screen. You have to be in the same city as them.
So you travel, you scout for a day or however many needed (i prefer tatoo parlor, switch back between there and mall). Then recruit, do not do an audition scene, and use her for the scene you need. Then go to US or next place you need.

Might want to check for any staff members you might want to hire/recruit.

Yes initially you need to cast regular girls to shoot with them
Later with more reputation you gain access to both male and female agency models
Meaning you no longer have to star in every single porn flick yourself and obviously giving access to mmf and gangbang scenes where you need more than one male

Yes, girls from the stripclub and street are the "starter" girls who you can hire easily.

All other girls have to be interviewed, if you get your intelligence up to 100 this becomes easier as you can se what they like (so you know what method to woo them), what their stats are and what their traits are, so you can become picky as well.

but early on, you dont need the studio, just use the cheap girls and amature videos. as you upgrade the office the higher level of girls willing to do amature increases as well.

I love how the special characters now always want to be PA's automatically. I absolutely hated having to reload over & over just to get kimberly payton to want to be PA, along with jenny copeland and a few others. Thank you for that PEdev, you're the greatest.
