Hmm, found another bug with the cops event. After the drug purchase/bust event, if I rest anywhere and after the rest it's still the same day/date, the drug bust event will automatically play again after the rest, but this time at the place of the rest. For example, I got the drug bust event at March 9th, at 14:00. Then I rest at the park (4hrs rest). At 18:00, after the rest, the drug bust again will automatically occur then and there. After that back at the house and have 1 hour rest. The event occur again. This will continue unless the end of the rest is in the next day.

This c an also happen with other events, for example one of your girls bringing her friend to come work for you. Resting for a time and it being the same day after the rest will cause the event to infinitely repeat, in my experience.

websites are gettin redone in the next update thats why i didnt put that much attention to them in the last few updates. i know all those issues and they are gettin either removed or changed completely.
i'll make some better notification system. some blinking icons in the corner or something really obvious.

Good to hear, I'm really struggling to make ends meet without websites. The studio requires staff to run, equipment to buy, etc. and as a female protagonist it feels like I really need to switch over to it asap because of the popularity hit. But the money to keep it running and also do other things just doesn't seem to be there for me at the moment. I'll need to try some different strategies.

What works for me is to concentrate on getting studios setup with only what is needed to get them running i.e. a low salary director, a lamp, a smartphone and low salary boys (may need 6 or more boys since they become unavailable just like the girls, just hire the cheap ones). You make more money setting up additional bare bones studios rather than upgrading studios, since upgrading personnel, studio and equipment will not double the popularity of the scenes (unless you using the very cheapest girls). It only costs maybe 9,000-10,000 each to setup your second and third studios. You'll need to hire lots of freelance girls to keep the studios shooting every day, but again, you can hire the cheap ones and slowly hire the better ones when you can afford them.

In fact, I think you better off setting up all nine studios barebones before upgrading any of them. You'll have to hire a PA to do the auto scheduling since manually scheduling 5+ studios is brutal, and auto scheduling has it own issues, but is much preferable to doing it manually.

Progress is slower in 0.74 since the freelance girls can't use their skill points, and losing the skill to double you subscriber gain per scene really slows things down.

First off, apologies for not saying this earlier, but I'm quite liking this game so far. Great job!

Second, a few things...
1. NPCs I wish were recruitable (as Pornstars): the Unique Nurse and the Jewelry Store Owner's Wife - any plans for that to happen?
2. Could you place a "Return to Lobby" type option from the rented Hotel Room? Would save a few clicks instead of having to go to the Map then reenter the hotel just to go to the convention or the lobby.
3. When an NPC wears the Maid's uniform, she suffers from what I call Floating Hat Syndrome (FHS) on certain sex positions, where her headwear (if turned on) floats WAAAAY above her head...

Not a bad game, was kind of hoping the girlfriend thing would stay in there until the relationship code was added. Rather than having to do a porn shoot to have sex with my favorites. Also the game is pretty snappy until... you have a PA do publishing. Then each end turn takes forever. Oh I may of found a bug too not sure if it's been reported and the search this thread doesn't seem to be working properly with the new site upgrade but if you delete all of your websites later in the game. Your office will go back to start, can't end a turn or anything was kind of odd.

It really depends on how the scheduler is implemented. Does the scheduler uses some priority scheme or are all events are treated equal? Do you use a central module to manage the events or each events can re-schedule itself. Each has drawbacks and their own mitigation technique. I don't know the implementation details, and I'm open for discussion.

BTW, the game says having Debbie Carter as staff means immunity from police, while Elizabeth Dillon means no more harassment. Does this include drug raids at home, cos this still happening while having Debbie as head security and Elizabeth as personal bodyguard.

IDEAS:
Just throwing an idea. I once talked to several actual amateur pornographers, ranging from performers to crews. I asked what kind of challenges they face while working. Among others, the one that I remember the most is there are amateurs who adamantly insists they perform only with a specific person, usually boy/girlfriends. So hiring one means also hiring the other, otherwise it's a no go.

From the directors, they said the biggest payday is if they can find someone to order a "custom scene", custom tailored to that person demands. I believe at the time the person I talked to had been hired to do a FFM scene involving red heads with specific body type. The job would pay at least double the normal rate.

Just some ideas from RL.

some events (like pregnancy visit) are added when you fuck a chick. if there's something else on that day it moves to the next free day to avoid overlap.
if there are no events on this day, there's a chance of random one happening(asking for a raise, vacation,..) here is probably the problem and this shit overwrites the cops if unlucky.

yea i've read about these no-shoot lists for pornstars and i already implemented it. when testing it tho youd really have to micromanage everything. maybe too much, so i've left it for now.
it does open new possibilites for some side content, like resolving a feud between 2 pornstars, deal with drama in studio, dealing with choices "either she goes or me" and so on. probably something i'll be doing in v0.8x

is it possible to watch the scenes you shoot, at some point?

you can watch them from 14h-16h, when studio status is "shooting". click on the studio building and there's a button "take a look"

if that's how the events are implemented, then I'm encountering multiple bugs. Multiple events seemed to overlap each other, i.e. cops knocking, pregnant, tax evasion all run at once. The non special events, like pregnant and tax evasion, run back-to-back, i.e. after pregnant, then tax event. The special and non special though run simultaneously, i.e. the dialog on the bottom is for cops, and there's the dialog box for tax.

This kind of event overlap occurs fairly frequently for me. At least it doesn't crash the game.

Dunno why moving to real date system is problem, but I do know using real date systems is much more complex, esp if doing scheduling. The only way I know to do things safely is to have 2 representation of time, one is linear integer, like low level OS time interface (how many seconds has elapsed since 1970), and the other is the usual time format (day/month/year hour/min/sec). Scheduling is done with the linear integer, cos it is easier to pinpoint a specific time, rather than using the time format. This however requires more API to convert time between the 2 representation, and doing time math.

Nice work on the bugfixes and updates. So maybe it is time to add my 2 cents (again) about some things that are possible to be implemented on the PE roadmap. Since it is by far more practical to show and tell, here is a pic:



The NPC to be added is your Uncle - a well known adult actor and insider of the film industry. Due to an unfortunate incident, he lost the original tapes and film roles of his most famous scenes and needs them to be restored, even if that means they are remakes. So the player has to hire staff and actresses and prep special items in the studio.
Your 'uncle' rewards you, if the scene has a high popularity or, well, you get it. Some reward for exceptional scenes could be a trip to Portland (Uncle Ron's club), groupies in bar/hotel/office and surely a guided tour with uncle Ron to film sets (he took part in many films...)

And now a closer look on 'Uncle Ron': As you can tell, he is based on an existing person. I do not know if the dev team considered contacting his agent about a possible appearance or even a (comic) cameo. I do not know if there is a popularity threshold - say like 1k Patreons -, but maybe a simple eMail could do something for your project. Ron is a very versatile guy and according to his wiki page he supports a lot of projects. And he did a video game appearance in Bone Town. Ok, you guys may have not a big software firm, but maybe his agent could consider a small addition to your project. And if not, just pick up the NPC idea and change some minor things. These are free thoughts and ideas. No copyright or intellectual property. Free. Your choice.

im using strictly unix time in code. then convert it to date format to show the player.
i've fixed all these event issues, testing this very moment to see if it's working.
events running back to back was happening coz they didnt get picked for cleanup. so for the whole day shit was repeating.
i've changed whole thing so code waits for a signal before continuing on the next event. so now multiple events can occur on the same day.

only player can get std for now yea. will be changed in the future so all of pro actors have to do regular testings and shit.

game engine officialy everything above 4.x, so it should work.
i wouldnt do it tho coz you'll get crashes frequently on old devices. game engine isnt really the best thing for android games and theres nothing i can do.
i just export it as a "test" coz people were asking for it. it's playable on (good) tablets, but thats about it.
i mean you can play on phone but UI isnt really made for phones.

It works on my phone but phones do have smaller screens that's why I tried a very old tablet. Thanks anyways. It's just a minor inconvenience though.
