Man I struggle with the alternative ending just a bit because of the growth modifier. But then I remember Essence and everything went smoothly.

Of particular interest are Divine Potential and that one Boss slayer one.

Divine Potential exhaust your unit by 50 Stamina but raise their max level by 1 without limit

The boss slayer achievement gives you 10% boost for each World Boss you kill and if you have 100 Boss baits...

I haven't really test if that achievement have an upper limit. If I kill 100 Bosses, would it gives me 1000% magic + strength boost?

Oh, if you didn't know, if you kill the kraken, you get a 10pt trait option where you start with a little version. It completely trivializes the early game, though it falls off in effect later. Needs someone with Create Water to really shine, though it can use Waterfall if needed to create some.

So I tested something. You can't get Guardian as easily Breeding Avy and Xhana anymore. However, a strategy to beat the final boss without any fancy essence is Mind Bender + Water bucket + Kitsune + Terranva + The spear

Mind Bender makes Horror takes 50%+ Damage. Water Bucket double Lightning damage. My legit level 20 Kitsune without any thing fancy deal 144 damage. 144x2 from the water and x1.5 from the the Mind Bender effect + a few Seedlings insta kill the Horror under 50 days. Then Terranva blink toward the Overseer and hit her with the spear. The next turn she should die from the damage of the Kitsune and Seedlings without her armor.

The most painful thing is when you have a lava party, a water party, a flight party, and a boss hunting party... then the farm and brothel characters. At some point, it's impossible to keep track of what characters are around. It would be nice to have a filter system e.g. only show mermaid hybrids, only show impure, only show unique, only show spirits.

Does anyone know the exact effect of the leveling types are? support level type vs magic vs lust or dex vs strength vs endurance? Couldn't find details on the exact modifiers applied.

At least with the brothel, if you use nymphos (especially energetic ones), and do your home upgrades, you can basically set and forget. Maybe check back to give them a day off once every few weeks.

The leveling types, it seems, apply a growth emphasis to something, and a malus to other things. Like Magic type would cause magic and mana to improve faster. Average seems to be just whatever your genes are (with type and some traits amplifying the effect of genes, or reducing the effect). I don't have specific numbers though, because that would mean cracking things open and reading code, which isn't something I'm that keen on doing.

Emblems do make things easier but everything gets hard again when you're breeding a genebank with 100+ characters.

As for tooltips. Thanks. For some reason, never moused over the growth type outside of the fusion screen. Now it makes sense. So they're base numbers and genes/gene traits/species growth/size/egg bonus/etc. multiply onto those.

Nymphos are great! With enough upgrades, you can just forget about them. Too bad personality and cock/pussy pref are random so it's a lot of breeding to get a full brothel team, even more if you want energetic. Royal, Albino, light and beautiful are nice too.

The values are actually the flat baseline for the monster's stat growth, hover your cursor over the leveltype to see the detail. Combine that with the stat growth modifier, then genes (and eventually traits where applicable) and you'll get your final stat growth. 1 gene is worth about +10% growth, so 10 gene will effectively be double the growth of a 0 gene unit for that stat.
Also keep in mind global modifiers like unit size, unit type (beasts have a global +20% bonus), hatching/loyal pre-game trait bonus, etc... even though those don't touch the baseline stats, and are applied as a final modifier instead.

She can't.

Adopting your own traits would be a complete game-breaker that well, would make mutagen obsolete by just being present, but also because it makes no sense, at all. While mutagen is quite unpredictable, if it gives a trait that does more harm than good, and especially if you cannot save freely, it becomes more of a questionable item best used for character fusion preparations, if they have the right traits.

Not really a penalty, but a focus on what they get after each level, so a support character will have the highest mana, a endurance character will have the highest health, average character will have balanced overall growth, and so on. Other stat growth is affected by it, so you can't make a low magic character a mage/potent shielder, and you'd better off with characters that actually focus that.

Anyway, amusing situation - the shop mermaid as part of a random event shows me a special item...a healing nectar, which I can already buy from the cave...basically its random whenever it gives me a special item that is fairly common, or something really worthwhile, but such disappointment made me annoyed at the fact that it can give me redundant items.

It would make evo more powerful, but evo potions and fusion allows for insanely powerful characters late in game regardless. Mutagen potions are currently only good for filler traits unless you're lucky. Letting evo adapt early would break the balance but late game, it's more like flavouring. With essences and divine favours, your mc can barely keep up. Probably conflicts with evo's unique character mechanics but just before the true end final battle, it would be getting serious before facing the final boss. Lorewise, "finally, after all these years, this is my final form." And if she could carry the trait onto new game plus, that would be a bonus.

How do you go to "Neora" anyway? I beat the final boss before completing AN_3 quest. Now it told me to copy a Lymean Guardian Hybrid and then go to Neora

Flavoring would be already more like, you already get like 3 powerful skills if you absorb the power at the end along with a trait, and getting more, in my opinion, which would mean you would be a trait machine that is pretty much is the strongest character in the game aside from maybe 1 specific elite that can absorb others, excluding the egg mastery essence, and further, would make the game trivial - while it is already challenging to fight the special path bosses, making that trivial by giving on demand traits like defensive, siphon, lumbering, and other things that you already can get for units would completely set the balance off the rails. And it better stays that way, no one likes when 1 character turns from already too good to pass especially at higher difficulties into an outright must have, that makes others obsolete.

The main character can't keep up - wait, she already is very good, once you invest into all proper skill upgrades, have the trait that gives extra levels and extra permanent item uses, unlock the special form and especially if you have the god profession, you'll have like, 300+ health in the end, if you take every health upgrade possible, but let me count the bonuses; empowered, god, telekinetic, due to fact there's more magic upgrades than strength ones its pretty much must have, all health upgrades - and then, if you experiment with mutagen and get lucky, you can add lumbering and heavy into the mix, which would mean even more health, and if you have the god profession, you pretty much become exceptionally hard to kill. Adding more into what is already the strongest potential wise character means no one will play the other ones, because either they have to be changed/buffed to match such powerful limits, or the powerful one has to be nerfed for obvious reasons.

Essences obviously, if they are the right ones, can skyrocket your power, but most of the time, you get ones that are questionable, and fairly unreliable as a result. You still have to visit them for a chance of something good, but relying too much on getting the best ones via save scumming isn't exactly something I really like, if only they all were useful even if you can't make full advantage of it. And the reward for refusing it is just a crystal fragment regardless of rarity, I might point out, which is lackluster and needs to be changed, like more crystal fragments based on rarity, or something else.

Anyway, on my discovery on said robots; they are fairly great, I managed to get an B unit from the wild and noticed it had a strength growth of 2.0 alongside health growth of 1.5, which matches elite spirits like hell beast/sea serpent and higher than seedling dragon, on top of fact its both a centaur and can equip ranged weapons while having the sniper/quickshooter traits and is NOT an elite - and with profession that boosts their growth and allows you to create and upgrade them, well now that makes them really good characters to have, and even better, they can farm materials despite being infertile - more mythril to create more and upgrade them, as well to make mythril equipment on demand, and more crystal fragments that are otherwise pain to get in large quantities.

Hint - complete the robot quests, then take the special option, then find a guardian to fuse into an appropriate impure gene character, then make the robot copy said genes, then escort it together with others to the final battle, and win said battle, then take the special option that shows up later.

And what's going to happen after that, well...I won't try to spoil whats after you do that. But I can hint that you are certainly going to fight things that can snipe you from anywhere dealing 90+ damage in a single turn while being invincible until the special mana draining characters are killed and you start with no mana, so you'd better bring good units and a few full restores just in case if you really need mana and health. But that fight is certainly much more fun than the previous boss one, because the boss fight is clearly focused around the fact you have to quickly destroy power containers that protect them, while not being just a tough and deadly body one that is seen in many games.

I'm wondering something. Is it just me, or is Creation a /lot/ harder than Evo or Prince?
It's not just you. Crea is definitely the hardest of the three. Mostly because she's a liability, whereas the other two are at least useful in combat. Evo can be an absolutely monster and the druid holds his own, but Crea is just a body to get in the way lol

I tried to make her a mage, since she can spam slimebolts, but as far as I can tell, her Magic gene will never be better than 6 (evolved), and due to traits, someone like 'free' Pyrea can outnuke her. And obviously something packing Meteor Storm, Waterfall, Meteor, Energy Blast, etc is gonna make her look really sad.

I guess she could just summon tentacles from the back? Or take Summoner and spam wisps?

The most useful I've had her be is doing the wisp spam. The tentacles are just too slow and clunky to summon to really matter with how quickly characters die. At least the wisps can move around quickly.

And yeah, she's never going to be anywhere near as good of a mage as the other two. Evo, for example, can easily reach a 10 gene score, and 50+ magic strength without doing anything too crazy or difficult.

the stats of your summons (wisps, plants, drones, tentacles...) depend on your caster's MG stat, soooo... 1 base MG=1lvl to be precise, so you're still gonna bump up that mag gene to be a summoner. I don't have to much problems in combat with Siena because i stick to 30/60 days runs with her, and usually pick either MAG or LUST gene +4 health at least. If you can get a change to her support lvltype early it can also help get more hp.
