New week, start over (yet again) from scratch. It's getting tiresome. I really like this game, but having to constantly restart is really getting on my nerves.
To answer your question re: more points for character generation, I too would like to know that. What I've been doing is trying to maximize the most useful traits. You don't need to put any points into genetics (and you can use the online save editor to add them if you really feel a need to). Alas, that editor doesn't allow you to add new entries, only edit existing ones. And the 'traits' during character creation get split into 3 categories: genetic traits, learned skills (such as cooking or swimming), and stuff that doesn't show on your character 'sheet' (such as +1 max level for forms and unlocking all base forms, just to name two). You could, if you wish to deal with the tedium, manually bump the max level of forms in the editor, and manually unlock every base form.
One more fun (sad) fact: the online editor does not allow you to change form skills (things like fireball or heal), nor change special stuff. For example, remove the effect of Siphon if a character has such a trait -- you can change the slot that has the Siphon trait to give you something else (such as Intelligent) but you cannot get rid of the Siphon draining effect. Best you can do is alter it so it triggers on attack instead of at the start of the turn. The editor also does not allow you to alter inventory items, except to change the number of uses of items (for those that have uses).
