Playing as Evo. I played this game before too, jsut got back into after a few updates. Dating is very changed.
Units are lavataur and plantgirl. I know the meta is going for giant units because of all the combat bonuses, but I hate large units as a rule (also, feeding them is a chore).
And joke is that this WAS the freebie easy zone. The very first world the king asks you to explore. Sometimes the stats on creatrues in the world are fine. Sometimes they are just obscene (despite what the hostiltiy sez) and your tiny team gets wiped instantly. Even worse when you're ambushed.
And the difficutly is normal. Like I said, I cheat (a lot, because I quite simply do not like some limitations of this game - like stat increases limits). Increased points for MC and starters, add items with cheats, keep onl a few potions, sell rest, then edit save to remove cheating flag and change max exhaustion and maxUseableStatIncreases)
Thanks for the reply tough. Actually useful post and sensible reply (unlike the other guy).
Thanks, i was shooting for "better than just insulting me" lol.
Another thing to note is in the world settings options you may have selected some of the more disastrous variables on the right side, for example high morale gives massive % increases to enemies and theres an options which makes them always high morale.
The new romance isn't my favorite change, i really think it needs some QoL changes to be good, i save scum my upgrades to make it work which sucks, but it is more interesting which i like, but you don't need to increase lewdity to convince them to join you, just increase favorability.
You can join the PoP discord and give some constructive criticism or suggest changes if you like, i do, also its got more up to date versions of Syv's games and the community is much more knowledgable and helpful.
I don't use large+ units because its a pain, it IS stronger and easier. Generally i spend the first couple days in town using the arena to level my units/get money, working at the brothel, buying gear, picking up units from the tavern. Day 3 or 4 i start wrecking shit.
GENERALLY magic is better than strength, you DO want strength units for early at least though. Later on Volt blade/telekinesis/world ender makes strength irrelevant for the most part since it does AoE better, world ender just nukes like 90% of the battle map, take shielded and you can now solo with Nila up until the true final bosses. Doing Castalia's questline will give you great traits and a great form/unit which can be the best scout if you pick the correct unit to transform(I forget which, naiad or angler iirc).
World hostility is a general middle bound, it goes up and down aorund it. Its especially incorrect when you go to an event marker, and the ambushes are the worst of it, i use them to farm stronger units sometimes if im cheesing through.
Great units to make are fire dragons girls, and demon beasts for AoE skills, recipe is on the wiki, should be simple if you have fusion access, harder if you have just breeder.
Lavataurs are mixed strength/magic units where they generally sacrifice Hp for Mana, which makes them a less ideal tank/melee, but they should be okay with just charge and cleave weapon for now.
Plant girls are straight supports, they get lots of mana, and some magic scaling, they're not great, but they can make plants which give you more units to make more moves per turn.
I'd try and get a mage(fire ghost if not the above fusion creatures) an endurance tank like beast plant or another melee centaur like beastaur for now. Maybe swap your plantgirl for a lymean or unicorn support since they get shields and heals.
Unicorns make great tanks at first since they get a point of shield per movement and have the charge ability, os they can run to the enemy, get in an attack, and have like an extra shield to tank the first hit or two.
Generally getting character quests finished early, fighting lots in the arena with your team, grabbing uniques for early game, and leveling tier two basic units will help a ton. You can also save scum quest rewards, like if you spend enough money at Lumira's shop you get a free random legendary which can drop like the voltblade which hits 3 random units for your magic(this includes allies so this is great for shielded solo runs).
Also i advise getting the windshaper skill on AoE casters as it increases the range and AoE of spells by +1 tile which is insanely useful.
