Yeah that's a tricky one alright, I see cases like this in my day to day quite often. In the industry we refer to this as a "Skill Issue". Oh it's not unfixable by any means. First and foremost, you need to ask yourself: Do you actually enjoy the challenge? Or do you just want to fuck around and explore freely without any resistance? Your annoyance kind of answers the question; clearly you don't enjoy the high difficulty (getting fucked up and then figuring out a strategy WITHOUT CHEATING is part of the enjoyability). My suggestion? Lower the fucking difficulty. Crazy, i know.

Second of all, it doesn't actually seem like you enjoy sandbox games with procedural generated content? Getting imperfect characters and working around them instead of editing them to become perfect from the getgo is.. part of playing procedural generated games. This one's tough, and a big part of the game's content just wont appeal to you. However you'll be happy to know there are plenty of uniques that are hardcoded/handwritten with "sensible" attributes. My advice is to just keep playing and adopt a more openminded - less whiny approach where you try out more strategies to see what works where. That, or go back to playing feelgood VN's that reward you and tell you you're a good boy because you figured out how to press the "next" button to progress the game.

The first, started world and every single enemy has twice (or tripple) the HP and attack compared my own monstergirls, even tough they are all equipped with good items (I cheated in tons of money).
1) You need full party, so fighting is not the first thing you need to focus at; (recruit more units)
2) There is Arena in town, so you can raise your lvl there;
3) Your base units are quite weak and powerful artifacts are far from start.
Check wiki or guides (if there are some). The game is ok. If its hard for you, choose another lvl of difficulty

WTF is it with the difficulty of this game?
The first, started world and every single enemy has twice (or tripple) the HP and attack compared my own monstergirls, even tough they are all equipped with good items (I cheated in tons of money).

Yeah, fighting several wolves where each has 30 HP (and 2 armor from the world), attacks twice and do between 7-15 damage, while my 2 starting units have max 4-5 damage and 15 hp.

This game irritates me to no end. I constantly have to edit saves to "fix" things I do not like (fetishes/likes of characters, useless uniques, 5 improvement limits (F*** that shit), and the fucked-up start).
Game is supposed to be some sort of roguelike so you will lose often at the beginning. But at the same time - game really got broken as fuck at the beginning since 0.24.0 came out. Before this I was able to fight and usually win in the first portal with just my starters and now I have to waste time gearing up, hiring otherwise useless chars just to fill my team, etc.

Early game really is just spamming the arena to get base levels up so you can survive for sure. Also gives lots of gold you can spend hiring from the tavern if they have someone decent and for equipment.

There's 23 pages of values on a save file using that. Which keywords should I be looking for?
depends on what you're editing? i just al tab between my quick save file, input my integer, Ctrl+F and find the appropriate thing, like if i have 105 crystals theres not that many values with 105, same with cash.
If i want a specific trait well thats harder, they get assigned numbers based of when you discover them in your save file, to edit character traits you need those slots filled as well, so i tend to grab the mutation potion and then assign traits 0-7 as i like if i want to break things.
Changing genetics is easy, changing daily milk/cum/energy, hp, morale, its all simple if you just look around.

"mainCharacter > stats > g" is a pretty good place to start i guess?

If you're struggling in combat then do some jobs in town, romance aila(the centaur at the arena) she can literally solo carry you through like half the game when you get her to join you which is pretty easy, takes like a day or two in town.
You probably built characters who suck at combat? This is a great game without the sexual aspects, so play the combat like you're playing a strategy game, don't throw random units with like breeder or seduction traits into combat, work them as prostitutes for a decent cash flow, buy some better units from the tavern, capture units from the freebie easy zone, romance aila to brute force early game, Lumira for sea worlds, and then win with little effort.
To be fair You might have picked Creation start and if you did it is a little harder to immediately scale up, especially if you gave yourself trash genetics. So my advice would be to go Evolution start since it's the easiest to abuse as they just get higher stats regardless of your genetic stats, so dump all of them, then grab good traits for your cohorts to steal, anything that modifies end values rather than upping genetic traits (i.e strength/intelligence is bad for Evo, possession/ancient power/god/empowered are all good and multiply with themselves.) Now you unless you cheated you wont get these starting traits, and in fact you wont have most starting traits since your game file will update your known traits list for starters as you play and unlock them. It's not a one and done game. So pick what you think will work best, just keep in mind Evo doesn't get full advantage from all the growth traits pretty much.

Did you set your difficulty too high? I'd recommend not doing that at first and doing the challenge runs later, they're fun once you know how to play, but cheating is entirely unnecessary, i've done all the challenges on base game and they're pretty easy, you can actually do most of them solo as Nila/Evolution too if you use your 2 cohorts at the start as gene dumps.

First of all, I'm not a masochist. A fun challenge is different from fucking torture. Second of all, this is a porn game, I don't want extreme difficulty and BS. When I get back from work I want to relax. Being a min-maxing autist that obsesses over every mechanic in the game to optimize shit is something I left behind years ago. Don't have the patience for it.
There's only so much deck-stacking one can do ON THE FIRST FUCKING WORLD. You start with nothing, there's only so much you can do (even moreso when you don't have an infirmary and there's no healer at the market. If your untis get injuted it's game over).
It might have escaped your notice that even with cheating in more points and money, it was STILL redicolous. You start with 2 units, don't have money and you basically have to avoid pretty much every fight to finish scouting the world.

Uniqes are not proceduraly generated, so you got that wrong. Also, Pyra still not producing Obsidian? This should have been fixed a long time ago.

Perhaps, if you bothered to be less sanctimonious and elitist, you might figure out that most of the people on this planet aren't tryhards that dedicate an obscene amount of time and effort to a computer game.

Playing as Evo. I played this game before too, jsut got back into after a few updates. Dating is very changed.
Units are lavataur and plantgirl. I know the meta is going for giant units because of all the combat bonuses, but I hate large units as a rule (also, feeding them is a chore).

And joke is that this WAS the freebie easy zone. The very first world the king asks you to explore. Sometimes the stats on creatrues in the world are fine. Sometimes they are just obscene (despite what the hostiltiy sez) and your tiny team gets wiped instantly. Even worse when you're ambushed.

And the difficutly is normal. Like I said, I cheat (a lot, because I quite simply do not like some limitations of this game - like stat increases limits). Increased points for MC and starters, add items with cheats, keep onl a few potions, sell rest, then edit save to remove cheating flag and change max exhaustion and maxUseableStatIncreases)

Thanks for the reply tough. Actually useful post and sensible reply (unlike the other guy).

I think you're misunderstanding. I meant the following: Problem: You don't enjoy procedural generated characters. Possible solution: There exists uniques (that are non-procedural generated) that you can build your team out of, instead of bothering with randomly generated characters.

Ah the classic "i'm a tax-paying hard-working man so the difficulty of the game must be tailored to my expectations". In all seriousness i'm not going to disagree that this game has no balancing issues (my issue is that the player gets insanely overpowered towards the end) but the point of lowering the difficulty still stands. I would say this is one of the games that would stand perfectly well on its own without any of the porn content, i feel like "porn game" is maybe a misleading category.

Personally I find it strange that some people can be faced with a challenge (that they signed up for), fail where plenty others have succeed just fine, and then publicly announce said failure by demanding that it should have been easier. You took an L my guy. It's OK we've all been there.

You do have control over units you breed or fuse, so it's nto really radnom in that sense. The only one randoms under my control are randoms I capture.

With some tweaks it would. Personally I hate the way armor works, because while everything else scales infinitely (which is part of the problem and power explosion) armor does not, so it's only useful at the very start. Which also leads to traits like "scales" being worthless.
Yeah, +1 armor when the enemy does damage in the double (and tripple digits on new game+) is beyond worthless.

And do you think I care about a game victory as if it's some noteworthy triumph? What for, bragging rights? The idea that "failing" at a game is something you consider shameful is hilarious to me. Even moreso when it's randomly generated, which makes you entire point of "but I did it" moot, since you had a different world generated, didn't you?

If you think a starting level spawning with enemies that are WAY to powerful is not a bug/issue worthy of mentioning, then I don't know what to tell you.

If your untis get injuted it's game over
You can craft "bandages" and healer is in town, but not every day.
If you don't want to do "best team" - just select free play with no time limits. Then u dont need to fight for weeks, cause 1st quest needs "exploring" not fighting. And with this time do some reputation or prostitution

Thanks, i was shooting for "better than just insulting me" lol.
Another thing to note is in the world settings options you may have selected some of the more disastrous variables on the right side, for example high morale gives massive % increases to enemies and theres an options which makes them always high morale.
The new romance isn't my favorite change, i really think it needs some QoL changes to be good, i save scum my upgrades to make it work which sucks, but it is more interesting which i like, but you don't need to increase lewdity to convince them to join you, just increase favorability.
You can join the PoP discord and give some constructive criticism or suggest changes if you like, i do, also its got more up to date versions of Syv's games and the community is much more knowledgable and helpful.

I don't use large+ units because its a pain, it IS stronger and easier. Generally i spend the first couple days in town using the arena to level my units/get money, working at the brothel, buying gear, picking up units from the tavern. Day 3 or 4 i start wrecking shit.
GENERALLY magic is better than strength, you DO want strength units for early at least though. Later on Volt blade/telekinesis/world ender makes strength irrelevant for the most part since it does AoE better, world ender just nukes like 90% of the battle map, take shielded and you can now solo with Nila up until the true final bosses. Doing Castalia's questline will give you great traits and a great form/unit which can be the best scout if you pick the correct unit to transform(I forget which, naiad or angler iirc).
World hostility is a general middle bound, it goes up and down aorund it. Its especially incorrect when you go to an event marker, and the ambushes are the worst of it, i use them to farm stronger units sometimes if im cheesing through.
Great units to make are fire dragons girls, and demon beasts for AoE skills, recipe is on the wiki, should be simple if you have fusion access, harder if you have just breeder.
Lavataurs are mixed strength/magic units where they generally sacrifice Hp for Mana, which makes them a less ideal tank/melee, but they should be okay with just charge and cleave weapon for now.
Plant girls are straight supports, they get lots of mana, and some magic scaling, they're not great, but they can make plants which give you more units to make more moves per turn.
I'd try and get a mage(fire ghost if not the above fusion creatures) an endurance tank like beast plant or another melee centaur like beastaur for now. Maybe swap your plantgirl for a lymean or unicorn support since they get shields and heals.
Unicorns make great tanks at first since they get a point of shield per movement and have the charge ability, os they can run to the enemy, get in an attack, and have like an extra shield to tank the first hit or two.
Generally getting character quests finished early, fighting lots in the arena with your team, grabbing uniques for early game, and leveling tier two basic units will help a ton. You can also save scum quest rewards, like if you spend enough money at Lumira's shop you get a free random legendary which can drop like the voltblade which hits 3 random units for your magic(this includes allies so this is great for shielded solo runs).
Also i advise getting the windshaper skill on AoE casters as it increases the range and AoE of spells by +1 tile which is insanely useful.

Already there.
And I suggested armor changes and giving smaller units a magic bonus or something to make them more viable (big units get str and HP bonus) ages ago.

lightning storm is my go-to magic solution. Easier to get.
Telekinesis is a must have on high magic units.

Best scouts? Probably seer, they get magic eyes. But IIRC, there is a beast combo which is even better.

And yeah, I probably should have stayed in the town longer, but I rarely, if ever, have problem with the first world. This was just an anomaly I guess. Even if I max level my starting units, they are pathetic compared to what I ran into.

One thing to note is that if you picked a certain world bonus after beating the game with creation it makes all of the levels scale harder. I think its called growth. Gives everyone friend and foe extra stats on level. You end up running around getting nearly one shot by random mobs if you arent well leveled or equipped with that on.

I really enjoy this game, but holy hell some of you guys are on another level with finding combos and ways to break combat over your knees.

I'm objectively bad at it, probably due to my lack of understanding of the nuances of breeding/fusion and all the abilities' synergies.

Is there a way for creation to create allies with more than 20 max level (I have the "unlimited" game state and for instance I have already some minions that are level 50, but being able to spawn only up to 20 makes it a bit weird)

For endless, IIRC max level/stats is tied to the level of portals you've cleared

that's for wild enemies

but creation can apparently only create up to level 20 even though you might have done ritual with higher leveled units which makes it become worse and worse as game goes on

Is the S-unit coming to your home to take all your guardians supposed to be a daily thing once it procs once? It's getting pretty annoying.
