I understand that tastes are for everyone, and I understand a dev wants to please everyone, but I personally despise futa content (same as gay content).
And to assure, since nowadays some people are sensible to this type of opinion, I'm not hating, simply sexually I'm not fond of it. When I search for porn I don't consume that type of content for example. I respect others tastes, but I do also have mine. I don't complain of games with gay content on this website, on the contrary, everyone is welcome here, I just don't consume it for the reasons I already mentioned.
If the game ever has that content in the future (which is completly fair if well implemented), then please add an option to block it. Otherwise I'll probably be forced to respectfully (and sadly) ignore the game.
That route was mostly because of the lack of fans wanting that route, not a dev's "choice". If it was popular then it would remain. Same applies to that content I guess.
As I said above, the dev surely wants to appeal the most people possible. Still, sometimes it isn't worth to engage on developing time if the amount of people wanting that content simply isn't big. Unfortunely sometimes it's a marketing and financial decision. Not to mention that the more options a game has, the more prone to bugs it gets, and will need more playtesting besides the development as well, which would also increase the development time.
It sucks, but it's the way it is.
