Ren'Py - Power Vacuum [Ch. 12 Official] [What? Why? Games]

Very good game, avoidable NTR and the characters are well written. One of my favorite game, good story and renders. I would recommend everyone to try this game if you're a fan of incest/landlord stories.

Total wast of time. The game is being developed for one and a half year for what? just some sex scenes with eva and malbourne because the dev is too busy creating renders for shit jokes, dungeons and dragons (fantasy that doesn't add anything to the real story), broken penis and hunter.

Really, the jokes are so shitty that i passed most of the time skipping scenes. Perhaps there were more sex scenes with hunter in NTR path than the MC... Because why not? better make sex with an disgusting ugly old bastard than the MC.

Also, there is too many clicks, to many tasks for no scenes. You'll suffer a lot just to get a singles blowjob, and it happens only at the later chapters.

Other than creating some bombshells models, this game has nothing. Thats my humble opinion.

Don't waste you time in this, really, it doesn't worth.

OMG what a game! its there since 15th september but I played the seven chapters today... it's simple, great models, great story... little bit frustrating especially with Orphia. I liked the achievement system. waiting for more, you have all my support.

Play this game for a couple of hours and you will be rewarded with MC's dick getting broken...

Really not worth the effort to spend your time if you're (like me) only looking for sex scenes because after playing for hours the only sex scene you will get is with some random girl (one of the main girls literally brings her to you) which is obviously made by the dev to compensate the lack of sex with the main girls.

One of the most quality games around period. Would love to see the creator do other projects in the future just to get more of their writing style. The jokes are entertaining even if I don't know the context of some of them. there is a wit and charm that shows care went into the game and it's much better off for it.

Plot:

The plot is pretty simple, try to fuck every girl that appears in the game and avoid Hunter getting laid with one of them.

Sometimes the game feels a bit repetitive but has some humor stuff that makes it fun too.


Renders and animations:

Renders are pretty good and we have tons of animations per update.

Characters:

The characters are good but I think there are too many female characters right now. I mean there were a lot but now with each update, the dev adds even more side characters, and since they are not avoidable I feel it a bit overwhelming.

We are not even done with the four girls that are here from the beginning and now we have eight more in six updates since the first version of the game.


Gameplay:

The gameplay is really good, no grinding and we can easily track our actual progress with each event as well as knowing where the characters are at every moment.

The only Con that I´ve found is that we have to follow every path and play every scene, being only optional Hunter scenes as they lead to a game over. And that we have to play every event in an update to be able to continue it (for example, if I play Brenna photoshoot I can only do 7 new scenes on an update and if I finish them I have to do the rest of the events to unlock the next part of Brenna´s photoshoot even if some events are not related)

Conclusion:

I really like the game and it´s interesting how Hunter events are growing too. But in the latest updates, a lot of new characters were added and most of them are the virgin-girl-that-has-to-be-trained given that we already had that type of character in the game and that the spicy game over thing was based on being caught by the mother or needing to be cautions with characters are less present on each update .

So I think the dev should focus more on the great potential his actual characters has instead of adding new ones and make players totally forget about them all.

Review as of Power Vacuum v0.7
A unique take on a household-hijinks type of adult game, Power Vacuum blends attractive, highly expressive and stylized characters with situations and dialogue that can probably be best described as bombastically witty. Humor is deadpan or slapstick and yet still retains a sublime quality throughout.

Obvious care is offered in the high quality of stills and animated sequences, differentiated character personalities inspire your continued interest from their own curiosities with each other and it offers one of the most original ways to blend (optional) NTR into a game without making it truly controversial among discerning fans.

The style of play might be considered as a "directed sandbox" where the open environment allows for easy repeats of scenes - now complemented by a recent Gallery mode addition - but also keeps the player easily on track by guiding them to which events are still open to play. There is no grind in this game, which is a remarkable achievement for sandbox-like construction.

Has a lot of weird strange stuff as well though. Like that old wrinkly dude. Just remove him from the game completely imo, if you have the NTR switch off.

Also I think the chapters should have a more "smooth" overlap, instead of needing to do every single event of every chapter before being able to move on.
Personally I wasn't interested at all in the redhead, but was still forced to do her content.

Decent game. Not amazing, but definitely not bad either.
Looking forward to playing it again, in like a year or two, when it has more content. I actually played this version through from beginning to end, but I wouldn't recommend this game per se.

Just Awful, most of the females look like they were ripped straight from a 13 year olds wet fantasy. Ever single character is shallow and uninteresting the fact that you are forced to interact with all of them isn't helping, the jokes dont land 9 times out of 10. Everyone makes the exact. same. face. everytime they orgasm, and Catherine is one of the most annoying fictional characters I've ever seen. Complete waste of time.

From renders to writing, to design absolutely stellar work.

Animations are well done, there is deliberate design behind how you progress, and the built-in gallery saves you from needing to make 50 saves.

This is a passion project with a high quality standard.

Script - 5/5 - hands down the funniest game that I've played...legit laughed at loud at parts; nonstop wordplay and pop culture references; absurd scenario, but it develops at a healthy pace

Gameplay - 5/5 - essentially a visual novel in the form of sandbox-lite interface...guide on the side is helpful for keeping track of how many events you have to trigger to finish each chapter

Okay, just finished everything released so far in this game (V0.7) and I Have to say, this is one pretty high quality title. Damn good renders (and quality animation when it is used), fun characters, enjoyable writing, and a pretty nice length of content per release. The one thing that it does better than the vast majority of games I played though (visual novel and otherwise) is the humor. It wasn't that funny in the beginning, but the last couple chapters were so hilarious that I was laughing out loud at many many scenes in them. The only negative I can think of is that there are almost no music in it. Overall, great work and I am definitely looking forward to more .

The writing is fantastic, really a cut above the average. It's rare in a game that I don't get the urge to skip on through the text. Sure, the author lays it on thick with the jokes now and again, but that's way more preferable than plain old bad writing. And the jokes are genuinely funny. It's not often you get chances to feel aroused and amused at the same time!

Another great thing about Power Vacuum is how the author plays with VN tropes. Here's a dev who knows the genre, and isn't afraid to poke holes in some of its more questionable elements. This, however, is never patronising or holier than thou, and really does make you think why so many games just seem to gloss over such issues. All while padding out a great story! Great stuff.

The renders and character models, while not tip-top perfect, are original and good-looking. The characters themselves are great too, well-imagined and believable (as far that goes in games like this).

All in al, Power Vacuum is a great project and well worth your time!

WAY TOO MUCH UNNECESSARY DIALOGUE DURING CONVERSATIONS! It feels unnatural. Every scene they keep talking/joking about random stuff, whether they're doing something or not. It's refreshing ocasionally, but too much makes the scene less impactful and somewhat annoying. Most of the dialogue doesn't contribute to the story at all, it's hard to stay on track. I'd rather the conversation reveals a little backstory of each character instead. During one scene the mom was trying to be sexy, dancing for the MC, they had a random conversation like they were having coffee or something. STOP TALKING, that just kills the mood. I get that the creator is trying to flesh out the characters and keep the dialogue interesting, but it's the wrong way of doing it. This is just mindless conversation. Hopefully it gets better in future updates.

Now with the biggest problem out of the way, the story was a little different but still generic and boring, hardly tells a story honestly. The character designs were great and unique and the scenes were very good, prob the biggest positives about this game. I do like the little NTR option for those who loves corruption and it's written in a way where they're avoidable which is also very nice for those who don't like it, just wish some NTR scenes were longer because some are cut before the good stuff happens. MC is a nice guy/borderline wimp. No options in choices really other than do you want to see NTR or not. If not for the walkthrough, I'd have a hard time playing this game. It's usually how it is with sandbox games, which i personally don't like. The game is overall pretty decent, it's worth a playthrough just to see the scenes and unique character designs.

Loved this game. The girls are beautiful and the writing is hilarious. The developer should warn in the description that futa/trans content is a tag almost inexistent. I almost skipped this game checking the tags (not big fan of futa/trans).
Character development is superb. At the start, the game has female domination tendencies, now male dom. FUCK YEAH.

I started this game at the 0.7 mark. As far as sex goes, it is a bit slow. However, the script is hilarious. It's like if Tony Stark wrote a porn game. I am in chapter 3 and I am looking forward to reading the rest. If you are going to write a slow progression, then this is the way. I am laughing so hard while I wait for more sex. I wish I could get together with this writer and create many porn game together. This is one of the best written games I have read so far and I still have 4 more chapters to read.

Amazing writing, very humourous.

I love the fact that the storie don't take itself too seriously, with long and dramatic events, is just pure fun with touches of absurd humour. The game play it's easy and fast, doesn't have long and pointless free roam events, it gets really fast to the point. Also, the renders and animations are top quality and the models, very visualy attractive.

Great renders. Original and interesting story. Utilizes (kinda) unique meshes so I'm not playing the same guy banging the same girls. A little repetetive, but absolutely no grind, so there is only progress, which is a very good sign considering that it took me a while to play, AND it's only incomplete! *chef's kiss* Magnifique!

Power Vacuum is just great, the writing is funny, hilarious even, to the point where it would hold up on it's own, even without the porny elements. Talking about the porny elements, they are amazing, well animated and hot. Honestly, this is easily my favourite porn game and I eagerly await every update like a small child waiting for his father to come home with milk. Thank you WWG and godspeed.

awesome game, good story development and overall nice dialogues, the protagonist is teased a lot and that is all im gonna say as it is gonna spoil the story for most people, and the review box needs improvement as we cant see the number of words we've written and im just filling the box just to post my review
