When I upgraded from v21 to v22 the game gave me a v22 save file that starts with the new quest. However, it only had the quests of main quest line flagged. So none of the sidequests were completed on it. When I loaded my v21 save it bugged out and the script of the quest NPC did not start the conversation that auto-starts when I enter the room where he is. He was also untargetable, just a dead sprite. I was able to continue with my v21 save by using the cheat menu to set the last quest to "Success" and the new quest as "Active". It skipped the dialogue of talking to that NPC to turn in the last quest and picking up the new one, but it did not cause any other bugs and I was able to do the new quest. I don't know if this caused any long-term script issues. I guess I'll see.How robust is save system in this game? I mean I currently have version 19.2 so if I upgrade my game will I have to redo everything or will I be able to continue?
That is all I can say. You can try and figure out what your last quest was in v19 and set it to "Success" in the cheat menu, then look up what the next quest is and set it to "Active." See if that helps if you encounter any issues loading your old save.
That is, if your save loads at all.
