I mean should even bother helping them out at all like just ignore the rain all together for the run im about to do since the mermaids do nothing but pillage everyone that is even remotely near water making it hard to be friend's with them and keeping the kingdoms safe since i would need to spend money on everyone's defense when i don't want to waist money on if she would just calm down

Do you mean from dying or from declaring war on everybody?
If it's the first, you need to rush getting fish lungs, to be able to run and fight underwater.
If it's the second, you can't really prevent it, but you can spend affinity to stop the already declared wars. And try to raise enought diplomacy so that wars don't happen so frequently anymore.
There's only one way to stop mermaid wars afaik, and that's usage of a certain Knight trait (can't remember which one atm). Mermaid Princess will tell you that who they fight and who they don't fight isn't up to them but whatever fate (The Deep) decide for them, they don't even appear in the list of other reigns, and bird stamps don't even have their reign as an option.
If Mermaid reign is at war, there's usually only 3 outcomes. They win, they lose or you cheat.

Clearly, you're forgetting the option number 4:

So, funny thing about the new tea party quest...
Because almost every reign is now interacting with eachother, theres much higher chances of hostilities.
I guess it was super unlucky, but the tea party I just attended resulted in 5 war declarations.
Can't leave those venomous snakes alone in a room without them going for eachother's throats. :KEK:

Time for the ultimate peace trick:
"Savescumming, my beloved"
Edit: Just as I thought, one loaded save later - 0 war declarations from a tea party.

You can tell if DEMOCRACY has gone up between two nations, if DEMOCRACY has gone done slightly, or if DEMOCRACY has gone down significantly. And dear lord, my relationship with RNG has ever been bad, until it isn't.

So yeah, do tea parties but save often FOR DEMOCRACY!!!

SO I am currently stuck at 4 hearts for human princess and I was wondering if anybody knows how I can get the 5th heart . She keeps telling me she's busy and I can't meet up at night despite giving multiple princess gifts .

I got it from enemies in mimics crypt maybe weapons just drops from any enemy
Non-unique weapons and armours certainly do drop from any random enemy, depending on luck.
I'm just not sure if the null weapons are unique and are hidden in some chests, require a certain creature (like lightning rapier), or are non-unique and can drop from any enemy.

Latest beta just leaked, so here's an incremental update! Same deal as last time, just drop it in the Updates folder and delete the patch from your Patches folder, the beta already includes patch 2's changes. Also, for anyone using Nionatu's link, the new cheats code is 989060.

Also, . Nothing major, just fixing a minor script that harmlessly broke and finally got around to a feature request I got a while back.
, for those who prefer it.

Is it perchance the script that made roaming NPCs move around? Cause mine have been stuck in southern region (near DPI's tower to be precise) since day 1, and never move from there.
No, it's one of my scripts. It just flags several settings (everything in the "System" menu) to not be reset to default when you finish a route, because I don't like having to fix them afterward.

I just spent a while looking into how the roaming works and... wow, this is kind of awful.
  1. The game periodically checks one of the NPCs, on some sort of timer.
  2. It tries to rank the various reigns based on what I think is their war situation. If there's a tie, it doesn't apply any sort of randomization, it just uses the last one in the list.
  3. If the previous check for that NPC resulted in a move or selected a different reign, then it does NOT move.
  4. If the checks select the same reign twice in a row, then it moves, possibly to the same place. If the move happens at night, then the NPC moves to the Tavern instead, or possibly the Chapel if it's Amelie.
There's also a second function that might still be used on a few occasions that's currently broken and always picks Plant, but this is the main one. I'll probably patch it to make it random soonish.

This beta was released after the patches, and therefore already includes them in the game files. DLC3 isn't coming out for a couple more months, just grab Nionatu's WIP version if you're interested in any of the currently available ones. It's up to you whether to wait or not, but if you're using mkxp-z or Joiplay then the update archives are tiny enough that you may as well download the beta.

Roaming NPCs' movements are now random, so they'll be moving all over the kingdom now instead of hanging out wherever their favorite spot currently is and occasionally moving to the tavern. They'll still go to the Tavern if they decide to move while it's night, so you will still be able to find them there fairly often.
