So apparently the steam release is a worse version where it's tied behind a patreon pay wall? I bought it to support the dev how hard would it be to take the game from the updated model from here and update my steam copy? I can just copy and paste right?

Yeah, steam version is stable, meanwhile beta branch is locked bnehind a $10 paywall. Also steam version doesn´t have access to cheats oficially, you have to search for someone who pays the patreon to get them.

ALSO, the DLC 2 is paid in steam, but in the patreon is free for $5 tier

No. Steam version is the "better" version the beta version just get the new stuff earlier but the Steam version has the vast majority of the bugs reported in the beta version stamped out (though there are still some) hence why it's called the stable version.

Unless you're after steam achievements for whatever reason, you're over complicating things. If you're already playing the steam version, simply take your save file from that and play the beta version provided here. And once the stable version is updated, you can go back to playing the steam version though to be honest playing the game directly without the need for steam is slightly better performance wise.

I think you can simply download the full package on 10,263 and replace Game.rgss3a in the game folder with the one inside the full package. I tested it and it worked. Just remember to back up the original Game.rgss3a file before replacing.

Yes, I'm managing a script pack with QoL changes and bug fixes, which I very much recommend for Joiplay. My path cache performs a lot better than Joiplay's built in one, and it'll let you use my update archives so that you don't have to re-install over a gigabyte to your phone every update.

Installation instructions:

1. Install the game as normal. If Joiplay offers to extract the game files, I recommend choosing no. It's not faster, and the extraction can take a long time.
2. Download P&C_Patches.joiplay.25-06-07.zip from my Mega or Pixeldrain and extract its contents into the game directory. You'll have files named preload.rb, preloader_Global_Variables.example.rb, preloader_mkxp_updater.rb, and dynamic_scripts.zip in the same directory as Game.exe.
3. If you wish, you may rename preloader_Global_Variables.example.rb to preloader_Global_Variables.rb and open it in a text editor to enable some optional features, like compressing save files or enabling beta features in the stable version. Editing it mostly involves removing a # symbol at the start of the line that has the setting you want.
4. In Joiplay, long press the game to open a menu, choose settings, and turn OFF the path cache and prebuilt path cache.
5. Run the game. A folder named Updates will appear in the game folder. In the future, you may place my update archives in this folder to update the game instead of reinstalling it.

Edit: Based on your post history, your last install was probably either v0.21.06R or v0.22.00, so placing this archive in the Updates folder will get you up to date: Pixeldrain.

Has anyone encountered a glitch where the game does not accept any 'Up' inputs? I played P&C in a super early build and just came back to it. Whenever I enter character creation, it auto cycles through everything as if the down key is being pressed constantly. If I enter the game proper, the knight just moves south/south east unable to stop moving or go up/left.

I've been trying to figure out a workaround for a while, uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but I've got nothing. Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

Hello there, I've just downloaded the v0.22.06 but I have a tiny issue: whenever I block with my shield it stays up with no way to lower it except switching character.
Did somebody have this issue and know how to fix it?

Does anyone know the quickest way to get an ending. I stopped around two years ago waiting for more content to drop and want to start a new game + so I don't lose all my loot and candies I've saved up. I have all the princesses except any added after the bird princess update, I would consult the wiki but it's down and wayback site is loading really slow for me.

If you head towards the underground part of the overworld, there should be an area that looks like

in the center area. There's a glowing turtle shell somewhere around the center of the ruins and standing inside the shell for a bit will lead to an opportunity to start a NG+ run.

Might be a bug for the current version, just hang tight until a new version adresses the bug.
