It's almost impossible to stop links getting leaked. Starting a big witchhunt won't help and only costs time. It will be the same as soon as the game is back on Patreon but luckily some people still support the devs from all sorts of games or this forum would be a little bit dead.

Creator was sued(twice, I think). Lawsuits take a long time to resolve. Game has still been worked on in the background, but no public release has been possible in the meanwhile.

Any idea on who and why they're suing them? I'm curious why.

I haven't really followed it enough to say for sure. I think from reading this thread that it was to do with the original IP(Towergirls) and maybe a former partner, but whatever it was is why the name was changed to Princess and Conquest a little while ago.

Why: My theory: Gats didn't want towergirls to get related to the "non-con" things in this game, so, gats told towerfag to retire the non-con content in the game, he didn't want to. after that, the first lawsuit started. That was a really short version (if you are more curious for the details, just tell me)

Again, that is my theory, the only ones who know the real version are towerfag, gats, and their lawyers. but they can't say too much, i suppose for legal reasons

Just so you're aware for your theory, Towerfag says that the non-con content in the game was in long before Gats had a problem with it, which from what I can remember seems true. There was a big line of complaints that came out at one time, co-insisting with from what I remember the start of problems with Gats. Be aware that I'm pulling this off memory and, likely, biased information from about months ago to almost a year now or so. And to admit my own biases I've not been much pleased with Gats since this whole thing started, so I'm more on the side of Towerfag being in the right here. Either way, good to have information from the both sides, biased or no.

All i want is the end of this lawsuit. 1st september 2018 was the last time Patreon asked for our monthly pledges towards Towerfag. It's so obvious Gats and friends (afaik one of his guys started the second lawsuit) are stalling for time here, unable to have legit facts to get Towerfag banned permanently on Patreon and use all the tricks to prevent the case to be closed.

Such people get all the worst wishes from me about their future in game dev business.

Yes they can sell it on itch again but the Patreon is still under review so i guess it's just for v0.14 which was the last version before the lawsuit started.

Edit: Just asked on the discord server. No clear information about Patreon but it looks like the lawsuit is over and Gats & friends lost again. ^__^
