Am I the only one who can't even start the game? Every time I try I get a message saying there was a scroll type error and then nothing else can happen.

This may happen occasionally. Try deleting your save files and starting a new game, the issue is fixed in the latest update

I had no problem with the interface of the original game, but I'm struggling with this one, and suspect that I must be overlooking something that should be obvious. First, there doesn't seem to be any indication on the map of just where the goblin is currently located. Should I just assume that he moves with the mouse cursor? I'm also having a lot of difficulty interacting with objects. Clicking on the mailbox doesn't seem to do anything, and mostly clicking on doors doesn't seem to let you go through them. (Though if a little Willpower icon happens to pop up and I click on that, that works as it should.) Also when I hit the ESC key to bring up the menu, above the menu bar it shows Princess Room, Goblin Room and Hideout. I had thought that clicking on any one of those might be a shortcut to take you directly to that location, but it doesn't seem to be possible to click on them.

No. Not with cursor.
Your MC is invisible?

Hit "space" to interact with objects, persons, open doors ...

what device and OS are you playing on? I don’t think anyone else reported an issue with the MC being transparent, so that might be something specific on your setup.

The game’s using pixel-based movement now instead of tile-based, so all collisions are handled differently. But everything should work smoothly and feel pretty intuitive, because all interactive boxes/hit boxes were implemented manually. If you’re not able to interact with objects like the mailbox, even when it’s sparkling it might be a compatibility issue on your system. Also, the bars in the menu just show the current temperature of each room, they’re not clickable or used for fast travel.

Thanks. I'd tried that, but most of the time it didn't seem to work. But that might be, since I couldn't actually see the MC, maybe he wasn't where I thought he was. I'm wondering if his invisibility is somehow due to my using a screen resolution of 1024x768. My sight is poor, and if I use a higher resolution then I find text too small to easily read.

Thanks. I'm actually playing on a 32-bit PC. As the version of RPGM you're using is (naturally) 64-bit, I've used the RPGM 32-bit library version 69.1 to overwrite the relevant files from the 64-bit library, and then run the game by running nw.exe. I've done this successfully with many RPGM games.
Another possible problem is that I'm using a screen resolution of 1024x768, because my eyesight is poor and with a higher resolution text is often so small that I struggle to read it.
I wonder if anyone has succeeded in playing the game on an Android tablet using the Joiplay emulator, as that's something else I could try.

This might be the reason. Lowest resolution of this game is 1366x768.
Is this a resolution your monitor is capable?
How about a bigger monitor. I have a 34", and this works perfectly for me.

Well as far as I can tell everything else seems to display correctly, just not the MC. The highest resolution my monitor/graphics card supports is 1280x1024. With 1280 horizontal resolution vertical resolutions of 960, 800, 768, 720 or 600 are also possible. I don't really want to get a bigger monitor as I'm short of space and also it would mean I'd have to be turning my head all the time to see everything.

Hi, the option to change the resolution is there, but it won't affect performance. If you have low FPS, try updating your GPU driver.
Thank you for advice but i already do that all still drop FPS and lag hopefully can fix this dev before i upgrade my membership.

Are you determined to finish this game or are you going to leave it halfway and release the 3rd version?
8 or 9 months radio silence and left his supporters twisting in the wind (I was a supporter). I wouldn't bet money on a completed product, but I'll follow it without contributing. Maybe he'll surprise me.
