The original version is better if you're interested in nudity being in the game. Otherwise Refine is easier to work with. If you want to play the original you have to play in DOS which isn't supported by modern windows, so you'll have to run it in an emulator. The most common of which is DOSBox. It's free and a very small download (turns out running a 30 year old operating system doesn't take much power or space).
There are other emulators out there that'll let you run DOS games on your phone or jailbroken gameboy DS or whatever other thing you might find, but I'll assume you use DOSBox.
The first thing I would do is open the folder where you installed DOSBox and run the DOSBox options.bat. That'll open a notepad file where you can turn on fullscreen (change fullscreen=false to fullscreen=true) or mess with other video and audio settings. None of this is needed, but might improve the experience for you.
Download the game. You must be registered to see the linksis where I picked it up. And the uncensor patch (under the extras section of the same page I just linked). And unzip them both and put them somewhere on your computer. The uncensor patch will ask you to overwrite some of the games files, which you should do.
Then run DOSBox itself and it'll give you a basic DOS command prompt. After that you need to mount the folder that the game is in. I'm going to assume your princess maker 2 folder is at C:\pm2, but you can put it wherever, just change the commands accordingly.
You'll need to put in "mount F C:\pm2" (without quotation marks) and then "F:" and then "pm2" to run the game. All in all the process takes about 5 minutes from start to finish.
I think i followed what you said but i keep getting this error popup. I checked the folder to see if said file was there and it is. idk what to do at this point, pls help. The original version is better if you're interested in nudity being in the game. It's hard to say with just a screenshot, but if I had to guess, I'd say file privileges? You could try running DOSBox as an administrator by right clicking on it and choosing "run as administrator". You might also try moving the files to a directory with less restricted privileges. Though file privileges might not be the problem. It's hard to troubleshoot from a screenshot.I think i followed what you said but i keep getting this error popup. put mount f "whatever your folder path is" (you do need to put quotations at the start and end, if there is at least one space in the name of one of the folders) example: mount f "C:\Flash Games\Princess Maker\Princess Maker 2" then press enter - it should say something like: "drive F is mounted as local directory" followed by whatever path you put in. Then you put f: and press enter again, at last you put pm2 and press enter, then the game should boot up. I recommend putting the mount command into the options file at the very bottom 2 spaces below the "#" marked info so you don't have to input it everytime and there you can at least paste it.idk why, I just cant unpack archive, says that there are mistake with it.
how could you tell which files had to be replaced? Im not understanding thisI get this error every time I try downloading it from Abandonia. Does anyone have any idea what I could do? Seems to also be the case when downloading anything from the site.
EDIT: I managed to get the game fromYou must be registered to see the links. Worked perfectly fine using the DOSBox method, I just had to put the Uncensor patch zip I got from the Abandonia page in the folder with the game and replace the necessary files.
