K played the game and it's definitely interesting. It's quite good plotwise.
However, I won't lie I could have fallen asleep (litteraly, I had trouble keeping my eyes open) while playing the game and I don't think that's a good thing. So, I asked myself why is that, plot in interesting, renders ok so why? I think AVN have 2 main ways of keepin their audiences entertained.
- The 1st which is obvious is sexy renders and sexual tension, some games have everyday plot, even sh1tty ones but still manage to keep that entertainment lvl quite high, how? They just have tons of sex scenes and a lot of sexual tension, that raging boner you have is what's keeping you awake lol.
- The 2nd is player involvment, either by mini games, choices, rpg style... They keep the player focused and avoid letting him end up bored.
I'd say, your game being more story focused relies on that 2nd way. I'm sry to say it but we got prbbly 2,3 meaningful choice during the whole gameplay (atleast the choices I felt were meaningful). We got a bunch of what seemed to me like useless choices. WHat I call useless choices are choices that actually don't change anything in the game that are just task choices (begin with option 1, 2 or 3), singular option choices...
Don't get me wrong those choices can be useful but the you don't have a good ratio useless choices/actual choices. I actually counted approximately 3 meaningful choices (2 were relationship choices and one was a qte from memory, it's been some days since I last played it, feel free to correct or even trash me if I'm wrong lol).
It nearly felt like I was reading a kinetic AVN. Yes it's reading not playing lol. Sure some ppl may be satisfied with this.
This made me feel like there was a prblm with the pacing. I just feel like wompared to the amount of content this has, there aren't enough choices. It reminded me of the times I tried being a book reader to impress smn lol.
Yk having those meaningful trigger a sort of tickling in the brain lol, then you try and make the best choices to get the most girls and the best outcomes. This is an addictive feeling lol
Apart from that story's good, Mc clearly doesn't deserve Sherlock as a default name though lol. He still didn't do anything deserving of that name lol. Every observation he's done up'till now are observations I could've done. Apart from that one where he managed to see the enemies in that building but that was more army/intelligence type than sherlock type
When sherlock did some observation it was impressive i bc he mixes actual knowledge with dumbly realistic almost omniscient observations and understanding. But still manage to make it so you feel like you could've understood, seen those things or that if you had his lvl of observation skill or knowledge.
Who knows maybe as he gets a grasp of his cheat memory skill, he'll become better lol.
