Is the plan that we'll be able to play as an evil character, or at least less of a goody two-shoes? MC's characterization in this version is pretty bland imo.

It does make things more challenging. But we feel strongly that we can get very good corruption narrative depth with the stricter guidelines.
This version is a rough draft meant to be rough. We did it this way to get patron user feedback on what to fix quickly. MC narrative will be overhauled.

Thank you so much for this reply. It's the exact reason we're looking to do these small games. We feel small fun games are under served. Coming from experience, long drawn out games are great, but come with some distinct downsides as well for players and devs. These small games hopefully provide everyone with exactly what they want.
We do have other chapters loosely planned if this is popular. But our goal is to make this stand on its own as well. And the chapters will all fit the same small format.

not for a while, they are using a new development model, where the patreon supporters help shape the game(content and debugging) prior to release, I personally like the new model as it keeps the supporters actively aware of the development progress, but it can take some time for releases
What about adding that stuff like... Post release or something, outside of patreon as a patch? I have seen quite a few games use that as a way to avoid the hammer from Patreon, which also allowed them to also go the darker routes in their games.
Or at least used to, don't know if there are any active games doing it ATM though, been a while
