since i found a kind and polite dev finally that answer to fans i got some more questions:
1) frequenting an academy for game designer could someone grab some experience to produce his own vns? i tryed myself and it's true: lot of stuff to learn.
2) what program do you use to modify the pre-made characters? and what's the procedure you use: i mean, you insert pre made characters in some environment, you morph them, you pose them, and then you make your renders? i'm i right?
3) you told us that you started from absolute scratch... so it's possible to learn all the stuff neede to build a good vn as self-taught? did l&p do the same perchance?
i'd have a sea of questions for you, but 1) i don't want to bother you and 2) same as 1: feel free to not answer if i bothered you in any way.
peace dudes.
Well, I do not see why I would not answer to what I can when asked politely, so:
1) Absolutely no idea, I would imagine yes, all knowledge is good to learn.
2) I use only Daz (photoshop also, but just to modify an image to integrate after on Daz, like for a poster for exemple). After that, when I have my scene in head and script, I create it, first the environment, using a pre-made produce(s) that best fit my vision and alter it with Daz to polish the scene (lights, props, etc... everything possible to make it feel more alive), after that same with the characters, I add them to the scene already finish (meaning with cloths, makeup, etc... for the scene), then work the poses and expressions to best workj with the script (again, to best make it feel alive), image after image, until all my renders and the scene are done.
For the characters I will work on them depending their importance, for some lambda NPC I will just load a pre-made character that best fit the need, for the other, I will search the same, for the best fit, then modify them using Daz, morphing them and changing them to get what I want. For some like Myriam I used a mix of multiple characters morphs, and then rework it again to arrive to the feeling I had of her.
Do not know if I am clearly explaining myself here... ^^
3) Yes, I really started from scratch, never used a 3D design program (just maybe used photoshop to do some maps for my pen and paper RPGs) and never programmed before also. Just one day decided to scratch an itch I had, and started to make my own game, since I was not finding what I wanted. So I searched for tutorials for Daz and Renpy and found out that it was manageable with a bit of work (at beginner level skills mind you), and since in my mind there is no better way to learn how to swim than get in the water and swim, I just started Project Myriam and still learning as I go, with the support of people kind enough to like what I make.
So yes, you can do something via self-taught, good or bad, I do not know, I imagine time will tell. For L&P I do not know.
If you still have questions you can send them via private message also.
