This "hook" wouldn't allow for him to get around Patreon's censorship. In fact, it just makes it easier for Patreon to censor his comics, once they discover what he's doing. If he's getting away with it, it's because they haven't noticed him yet.

The UK is not "most Western countries". The draconian porn laws which the UK has passed in the past two decades are not indicative either of most Western countries or of most developed countries. Australia has followed suit, to some extent, and has gotten pretty heavy handed with their laws regarding porn, but that's still a long way from "most" countries.

As with most things, the laws vary from place to place. For example, bestiality is illegal in most places, but buying porn which depicts real acts of bestiality is not illegal in many of the places where bestiality itself is illegal. And selling porn which depicts real bestiality is also not illegal in some places which ban it. (Buying and selling legally questionable porn are treated differently in some places. In some places, it's illegal to sell, but not illegal to buy or own.) In many of these places, it's only the act of bestiality which is criminalized, so that the performers and production crews who made the porn were committing a crime, but people who sell, buy, or own such porn are not committing a crime. Also, porn which features artistic representations of bestiality (stories, drawings, 3D renders, etc.) is exempt in some places, because some places only criminalize real bestiality.

And, depending on where you are, these same rules may apply to things like incest porn, rape porn, and so forth. The TLDR is: It's just not true that Patreon bans things because it's illegal in most Western countries. The stuff that they're censoring is not illegal in most places. Patreon is not acting in order to stay within the law. This was very clearly shown from the beginning. Many people forget that Patreon didn't begin by censoring porn. They began by censoring political speech. Then they moved on to censoring porn.

The only porn that's illegal in the US is child . Even that isn't illegal when it doesn't involve actual people, but it's not going to be available because the vast majority of people are strongly opposed even to in cartoon form so platforms won't carry it. Though you can buy T-shirts that includes the Simpsons all having sex with each other (only the in house family minus the baby.)

I don't know what you mean by "repressed." Do you mean that the US is more permissive and tolerant of extreme types of pornography than the UK is, or do you mean that the US is less permissive and tolerant?

Yes, I know what it means, when speaking of the law. But I wasn't sure if you were applying that meaning, because that seems absurd, on the face of it. It's very clear to see that the UK is far more intrusive and controlling when it comes to porn. After all, it was the UK which moved to ban rape themed porn, as well as heavy BDSM porn, both of which are completely legal in the US. The UK even criminalized possession of such material. And it was the US Supreme Court which moved to protect non-photographic (i.e. drawn, painted, computer generated, etc.) visual depictions of pornographic content which would be illegal if produced with real people.

So it's very obvious that the UK is more heavy-handed and repressive than the US, when it comes to porn. That's why I was confused by what you posted, and thought that you might be trying to say the opposite.

As people answered you, simply luck, for some time I went under the radar, until someone went gestapo on me, then I had to clean up or see the page brought down by the hammer of censorship. And Patreon being a big meal ticket I had to go with it for now.
If some are still doing bestiality or incest on Patreon, it's just that they didn't get flagged for now. Good for them.

Tbh Zorlun, it wasn't as much luck as it was lunacy, imo. Some pendejo saw your game and decided to check it out. They ran across a theme that they got all butthurt over, like so many "sensitive babies" nowadays, and ratted you out. Rather than just avoiding the game as being not for them, they decided to be an asshole. The Worst part about it is, whoever did it, used the banner of 'moral high ground' to screw with you. My thing about that is, Nobody can take the moral high ground' if you go to an adult gaming site to view porn type content to fap to. The Only thing that I could see as verboten is the portrayal of tender-aged children (15 and below). Other than that, with all of the kinks and fantasies out there (like futanari, which I don't get but won't begrudge someone else's liking) I say, to each their own. I, personally would have just said to myself, "Nope, not for me" and left it there. From what I've seen these past 20+ years is that the main complainers about moral content are just as deviant as the ones they complain about. No one's told on them yet is all.

Uhm, i get it that you want the game, i think everyone here wants it but what's the purpose since there'll be public release? And to anyone that might want to leak the game here pls don't. Just be patient like everyone else. Public release is in couple of days on March 3 so it's not a big deal to wait, especialy if it'll help dev. Cheers
