Conservative lawmakers have been threatening this for many years, but the porn industry is absolutely massive. It's the oldest industry in the world for a reason.
Even if they did create a porn ban, it would be unlikely to just shut down every way of paying for it. Plus, that goes against another bill currently up there that wants to remove visa and mastercards ability to decide what people are allowed to buy, seeing as they are literally more essential than what we call essentials, cause visa and mastercard can literally just stop most of the world from being able to pay for water and heating - in theory.
If there was a ban, its more likely to be some sort of crackdown on easy to access porn (which will fail). Presumably via some sort of ID verification (which will fail).
And that's without mentioning that its doubtful something like this even would go through in the first place. A lot of the people who vote for this shit get money from the porn industry cause its so embedded in society.

With that said, yeah, agreed. They certainly want to. Whether they'll be able to is a different matter. But with that said, I live in Taiwan,what use to be the pirate (CD, DVD's, including porn DVD's) capital of the world. Now it's not easy to find that stuff here due to international cooperation and law changes back in the... I want to say early 2000's? Not sure on the exact time frame. From a western perspective, things that are will always be (A sort of "The sun will never set on the British empire" mentality). But from a perspective outside, anything can change at anytime. The US dollar can suddenly be stop being the main exchange currency. The US an stop being a democracy. They can suddenly overturn Roe V. Wade (something people claimed was never going to happen). And, yes, it's possible they'll try to ban all porn. Even if they're not 100% successful, they can make it very hard and painful for everyone involve in adult content.
With that said that's why I asked if there was an alternative to Patreon. It never hurts to divest from a single source of anything. Maybe I got the mentality from my grandfather who had to run from the cultural revolution (he was an university professor), but my policy is never to take for granted that, what you think is solid and reliable, can all just be taken away because some asshat somewhere got a bug up his ass about something.
Things like this makes me wonder how easy/hard it is to start a patreon-like service for adult content. I mean, I can build the website and the tech infrastructure (not exaggerating. Like, that was/is my job), but I don't know the billing side and legal at all.
But also also, here in Taiwan, you can like, just transfer money from your bank account to another's via any ATM or online. No need to go through VISA or mastercard. Banks here will even generate an account number just for a single transaction. If that was an option, I would be more willing to support NSFW content creators.
This may have been answered already, but is there any particular trick to getting Ann's second quest to trigger at the mall? Been there all times of day, every day of the week, and check every store but nothing seems to happen. It's locking me out of so many other quests.
