I post ~5 times a month, there are 4-6 comments on average per post. I'm no mathematician, but that is more comments than your Patreon gets... Are your Patreon numbers botted?!There's another (Unity) game being discussed that shot up to 4,000-ish dollars out of nowhere after being out for like a month. There's a couple theories that might apply here: Paying someone with a bot network to sub to his Patreon page (you'd basically be getting 90% of your money back anyways after Patreon and the bot network take their cut) make it look like he/they are worth supporting. Money laundering, which is unlikely for this amount of money. Or their just actually making that much.
Not accusing the dev of anything, of course, as I could be wrong. But look at the interactivity of his Patreon posts. 0-3 likes on average. I'm no mathematician, but less than a percent of his 556 Patreons are interacting with the posts? The numbers don't add up. You can see similar botting behavior from Mr.Vision's (someone who's been confirmed to use bots)You must be registered to see the links, 13.7K followers with six likes on a good post.
On a serious note, interactivity could vary. I think people interact with the poll posts the most (like here is my post, which has ~300 people who voted
You must be registered to see the links
). Also, if you have $4,000 why don't you just invest it in the quality of your product?
