Why do these kind of errors happen in the first place - is it because of a new update which messes up the data/files?
Programming, Codes etc.
I don't know enough about about Unreal specifically to say for certain. In most cases it's user error (which can happen in a lot of very understandable ways). It also depends on the nature of the update/engine. In some software user asset files are never modified, and while the game may stop working when the project is updated, the project version can be reverted.

On the other hand, some software partially stores some information in files which are version specific, and cannot be converted to a previous version. In general it's best to copy a project before converting it (like in unity, for example).

I see, so its either a error in using the software or a compatibility issue. Thanks for your perspective on the problem.
Saving the current state of progress should be a must-do, regardless of the used program.

This demo is a good example of a solid animator/designer with a lack of programming knowledge. This shows both in the demo itself and the fact that the author lost his project files (always use version control!).

That being said, this is one of the better demos that I've seen. The models are lovely (though faces need some work). Animation is A+. Atmosphere is great, and I think that's the most important thing apart from animation, good atmosphere really lets you immerse yourself into the action.

Controls are lackluster, as is often the case with this type of demo. Camera movement is a bit awkward, interactive prompts sometimes don't appear when you would like them to, and enemies are pretty easy to fool by wrapping around them (they will miss their grabs sometimes if you move at the right time). However, all that can hopefully be resolved with polish.

All in all, I'm looking forward to this project's fruition. Hopefully it can gather more monetary support as time goes by and better builds are released.

One thing to note is that patreon page is quite ambitious, I do hope that this won't become a "bit more than he can chew" situation.

anyone knows how to change animation phase during sex? I'm not saying about the space key one, there are animation variations in the same state.

this is really insane for a h game made from one person. well done mate. maybe in the future can we might get the ability to change animation or at least a gallery of animation in the menus?

For those wondering about why the project got destroyed, it is a problem with UE4's method of dealing with metadata. Basically anytime you add or modify something in a game project, it adds or changes the metadata. This is all fine and good, but it runs into issues when you delete something in a game project. This doesn't seem to be a problem with the way Unity handles its metadata, and seems to be a UE4 specific issue.

Sometimes when you delete something, nothing bad happens. Sometimes it crashes UE4. Then more rarely, it corrupts the project file. I've had all three things happen to a project I had been working on in UE4 (a non-pornographic RTS). When it corrupted my project file, it obliterated 8 months of work, and as I wasn't using versioning at the time, that totally derailed my project. Now, mind you, this was back in UE4.08, so I would have thought they would have fixed this problem by now (as its what, 4.25 now?), but maybe not.

That is most likely what happened. They probably tried to delete the wrong thing, UE4 crashed on them, and then when they went to load up the project again, the project was corrupted.

This game will be renamed to "UNFOUNDED: File 101"

This game won't be a porn game. Adult scene will not be in the final game and you will have to download "adult scene" as a mod (That made by me) I'm going for both non adult audience and adult audience (80% for non adult audience because I've added tons of details to the game but most people (Adult audience) don't seem to notice it and only go straight to the porn)

"Next build" will not be the same as current build that you do have. No more "over the shoulder" camera view (Except while aiming)
You can quick 180/90 turn while running.
No more "film grain" (I have no that problem with my PC but not very sure for other and it's also depend on monitor)
No more PPT build (Pre Playable Teaser) the next build will be "Tester" build.
No more "Dead Space and ALIEN" Vibe, I've decided to add more "adventure and Open world" I want to be more "original"
More blood and gore effects (for enemy)
New type of the enemy (Hunter/Chaser)
New light and shadow rendering + SSGI.
Improved gameplay performance (Not sure about graphic performance)
More (But not confirmed)

Note

This game might be the worst pornographic game ever because this game is never meant to be a porn game at the first place. :) I need a little time to recreate "all" stuff again. (everything will be fine within 15th November)

-"Survival mode" will have no objective, you can read what description says in the menu title.
- Do not play this game for "porn" since I'm making this game for non adult audience than adult audience. (but still both btw)
- In the future, Free build will limit the feature/content to 50% of the full content.

I think you'd be surprised. I think there's a lot of value for adult scenes with proper set up and atmosphere, a lot of people are tired of porn basically doing the same stupid routine every time, and many of those turn to adult games as a result. Part of the reason I liked the previous demo so much was the feeling that it gave, not necessarily the porn scenes themselves.

This is mostly addressing your comment about how adult oriented audiences don't notice most of the details.

Anyway, looking forward to the next demo, really excited to see what you'll come up with. Any estimated date on when it's gonna arrive?

And I notice you addressed some stuff from the 1 star review someone left. I urge you not to be discouraged by that, it seems the person didn't quite understood that it was basically a tech demo at that point in very early development, judging it by the standard of fully released product. I for one think there's a ton of potential here.
