First of I suppose I need to clarify what ok means, for me that is a 5 - 7/10. I would probably go with 6. They are fluid, and perhaps they are fantastic with the sound on, but I don't use that so can't comment on that part. I just look at the visuals, and those are nothing impressive to me. I would agree with you that this is better than AWAM and on par with Eternum, but I don't consider those to be top-of-the-line either. Eternum sits on a 6 - 7 animation quality for me, even though it is one of my fav games on here. Not sure which I would put near the top end, but AceX studios games, BADIK, TFMG, Love Season would probably fall in the 7 - 10 category for me. Tbh my scale puts one game on 10 then compares everything to that. I also compare them to other non game animations from GB, EXGA etc, so most games will never get to a 7 or more for me.
As for the dev process, I have no idea. This was my first time trying the game so I don't know how long the process lasts, but I do know about opportunity costs. Every second spent on doing one thing is a second spent not doing something else. It's cool that it brings something of value to you, but for me, it just devalues the rest. Those animations have to take hours of work, and I'd rather have one more hour of written dialogue than a 5 second animation of a thumbs up and someone smacking someone else with a stick. But then again I do not value non emotional and non sexual animations whatsoever, so all of this is not a complaint, just my personal viewpoint.
