Really great. It sort of shows its age (If I say a 2017 game is a decade old, I'll turn into dust and blow away) in terms of the ero content, but honestly I feel like this game hits the JRPG element in a way that a lot of games I enjoy didn't.
That's the way progression happens. JRPGs are notorious for sometimes falling on linearity and grinding and the two are related in a way. To me, the two are related because the gamestate tends to have a task and resources. Pronant is a little more "western" (hate that term, because Xenoblade is a perfect example of this) in that there's always stuff you can do that will increase your character in tangible ways while ALSO increasing levels. So if you get stuck in one area, you can just go treasure hunting for a bit, enjoy that, and then come back and if you've cleared it all, you're probably over leveled if anything. Oh and while you were doing this, you were getting synthesis materials which you can spin into crafting better gear. Or worse gear that you can use and learn new skills form. It is very very good at that. The game will never feel like a hard blocker.
For a full disclosure: I haven't played the evil route, because nothing gets my dick harder than having the option to be an evil rapist and deciding instead to be a fictional woman respecter. This game hits that note and doesn't miss its own plot and is better for it. Somehow you can choose between a tragic figure or a villainous rapist and the plot is still basically the same for enough of it.
I say this in a lot of reviews, but I think it's less so here: games like this require horny people who also immediately want a JRPG. That's a narrow population. I think this game, unlike others, works fine as a compete SFW game. The option is nice, because you actually DO feel like a good person when the game throws attractive women at you and say "there are literally no consequences other than her lack of explicit consent."
And from what I can tell about the porn, being a 2017 game it likely isn't going to blow you away anyway. So this might be for you if you want a JRPG woman respecting simulator, or if you're just looking for a JRPG. I'm not sure, I'm not you. Whatever brought you here, you probably found it.
