Dinglederper is not wrong tho. the game gets real updates in around 3-5 months interval.... if you want discussion-less threads then go to kemono. this is a discussion thread....
Look away from the mirror for a second, my guy. Please, you laced every statement with edgelord trigger words
What real updates? Do you mean an actual pose or one pose finally added? Cause most updates I see are still bug fixes or optimization. Or reskin animations for existing scenes like with the bunny/cop.Dinglederper is not wrong tho. the game gets real updates in around 3-5 months interval.... if you want discussion-less threads then go to kemono. this is a discussion thread....
Yet somehow, as we saw with the last update, there are people who take these useless non-updates as gospel and think we've "been proven wrong" every time the dev tweaks some incredibly tiny knob. What real updates? We'll be lucky to see new poses probably by December and then it might just be one with Oynx, besides a 'cum' thing. Devs still have to optimize the scenes with the reskins for smoother animations.Yet somehow, as we saw with the last update, there are people who take these useless non-updates as gospel and think we've "been proven wrong" every time the dev tweaks some incredibly tiny knob.
that's why i said 3-5 months interval. it takes that much time to get a BRAND NEW animation. after getting new animations we only get bullshit updates several months after.. not to mention it takes much much longer time until we got proper gameplay updates..What real updates? Implying they finished Malise and the Machine, rather than finished the demo/prologue, kinda, and started this one "to help fund Malise and the Machine". By now this is obviously a scam, whether it was originally meant to be or not. Or, as fans are probably hoping for, Eromancer will drop several years of updates in one go and Malise and the Machine will be the greatest porn game ever made. Probably not though. Really, probably not though. You guys keeps hoping though. Maybe the God of Porn will hear you.Pure Onyx is a classic beat ‘em up with RPG elements set in the world of our flagship title, Malise and the Machine.
I just wish they didn't do this "It's just a side-project" bullcrap. MATM was way more interesting of a product (for me personally at least), and I wish I could support them in making that game, but I just can't get into Pure Onyx. Tried checking out the most recent update after not paying attention for 2-3+ years and the animations, general environment, and UI is definitely improved, but I still feel like I'm playing a tech demo instead of a game that will eventually get completed.Implying they finished Malise and the Machine, rather than finished the demo/prologue, kinda, and started this one "to help fund Malise and the Machine". As if white knights don't also manage to find the time to come here daily, lol.Man, I get it, the game is taking forever to be made, may not even come out, is likely a scam, etc etc.
But don't you guys have anything better to do than hundreds of pages of just bitching and moaning? There are other games out there, lmao.
Well, he doesn't have to do anything when people keep feeding him money. He is just as bad as Tom creator, but at least Tom creator knows how to keep juggling his game in 'reworks,' to make money. Scammo doesn't even do that.Snail pace production with that kind of backer support.
They come back because they feel a need to defend what they view as a good game. To them, it's no different than defending, say, Skyrim when people say it is a terrible game.As if white knights don't also manage to find the time to come here daily, lol.
I get what you're going for with the analogy, but comparing this to Skyrim is so wildly oversimplifying things. Skyrim is a complete game (despite numerous re-releases, which is actually a great example of how even triple A studios can find excuses to charge numerous times for the exact same product), sells for a set price, and has what is generally considered to be a lot of replayability and content compared to most games. This...has none of those qualities. You're equating liking a game to it being good, and while I get that from their perspective the two are the same thing, you're acting like people aren't allowed to both think "this game is good" and "this game wasn't worth the purchase price". If you want a more accurate analogy, think if Skyrim were released in chunks between 1-3% of the final game at random intervals (assume 3-4 months on average), you have to pay for each new update separately, and there's no guarantee any given update will even contain any content beyond some random UI changes. If that were the case, Skyrim would have had just as many people shit talking it as this (and does, in fact, have a huge amount of criticism levied on Bethesda for the aforementioned constant re-selling of the same game), and today it's practically the norm that MTX is treated like the devil in most games, making any complaints on this forum look mild by comparison (people have gotten death threats over them many times). They come back because they feel a need to defend what they view as a good game. Bethesda keeps re-releasing Skyrim for the same reason Ero keeps the grift going, the money well hasn't dried up yet. So long as people give them money, they'll keep doing it and have no reason to stop.(despite numerous re-releases, which is actually a great example of how even triple A studios can find excuses to charge numerous times for the exact same product)
I can picture it now:If you want a more accurate analogy, think if Skyrim were released in chunks between 1-3% of the final game at random intervals (assume 3-4 months on average), you have to pay for each new update separately, and there's no guarantee any given update will even contain any content beyond some random UI changes.
Vosmug is love. Vosmug is life. <3This is why I really respect developers like Vosmug. Sure, Vos takes 3 years to release a game, but you know what he doesn't do in the meantime? Take tens of thousands of dollars from people for no results because he realizes that it is poison to the concept of shipping a title. Instead he makes his game and then sells it on every platform he can to make the cost back, and it works. And his games are actually mostly feature complete when they launch. No episode 1 or half a game.
It sucks, because Patreon and other services are important for developers and artists to be able to pay their bills while doing their work. But then you'll run into developers who really, really take advantage of it. Another really good dev is Majalis, who, rain or fucking shine, has a content release every month and is meaningfully moving towards the game being complete. Some developers understand that you CAN milk your fans, but it hurts the entire genre, not just your rinky dink scam project. Unethical developers are remembered far more than the ones who didn't fuck people over.
