You're halfway admitting someone went cheap with the art for random encounters.

Writings for the random events are also least developed, It's the last place for you to seek any kind of clever words, smart jokes, puns and all. Every other scenes from named characters are way better than this in terms of humors, which they clearly were given none and you cant pass it off as being just a piece of humor, we're not talking about achievements.

Last the alleyway and guards duty arent "workless", in terms of money you have to consistently grind them until get the garden, which is a good half of the game length.

Last but not least there less than 10 random events, majority of which are repeating sequences of one another, doesnt really help the mind numbing grindfest, after 2 patches in a row.
I wouldn't call it cheap though. It's focused effort. The highest quality art for the questline rewards, stylized fun pieces for the random stuff - just makes sense. Every game does something like this, for if you do everything to the highest degree possible you will never get done with anything.

Don't want to write my "grind" speech again so the tldr version; you don't have to grind at all; learn the mechanics; only do the tasks that yield the highest expected reward at any given and you'll always have enough culture/money to do everything; I always prioritized the garden over guard duty and such - but it's a resource management, my approach may not yet be optimal and figuring this stuff out is the point.

But indeed it's mind numbing if you're doing it 100 times in a row - but you're really not supposed to, if you employ the mechanics based on environmental clues. Than you'll do some different combination of actions every day and it becomes quite cozy.

When you cut corners over something else, You can excuse for this and that, still it's called being cheap. Akabur doodles has more efforts put into this.
"Every game does something like this", yeah the porn game ones being in development for 10 years, then rush the release with half the game behind because their patron get sick of being milked, do that.
Also you just give Akabur an excuse to cut half of the game, rush the entire half to focus on having it "done", what he just did.

They are the only thing that pays, Alley and Guard job is your only money source until you get both the stall and garden, with is 70% of the game length, it's late game, 50% was an understatement. Optimal? What is this? Chat GPT tutorial?
Have you actually play the game as intended, or at least finished a run at all?

Some of what you two are discussing is glossing over the fact that there is art done by a second party, Dahr. Akabar posted that Dahr played the game and insisted on adding art where there was none. This was done at beta testing weeks before the game was released. Which means Akabur had planned with full intention to release the game without art in areas of the game and just having text as content. So of course the quality is lower is wasn't planned and was rushed for an arbitrary deadline

If you ever see Dahr tell him his art gave me erectile dysfunction.

I can see that. There function didn't necessitate art after all. So a friend chipped in to go the extra mile, that's literally the opposite of cutting corners.

Sure I did. Alley and guard ain't worth your time unless it's storming - otherwise do something else. Always go for the garden as quick as possible, always rainy day tutor Hornelia, visit everyone for a chat daily, only check in with Jasmin for report when there is nothing else to do during the day like tutoring Hornelia or tending to your crops - if your free at night and there's nothing else to do work out (unless you need to sleep). It'll be a breeze. Guard doesn't pay, it has least priority.

Did he ever release the 1.05 version that was supposed to be "the final update with bugfixes" he mentioned on the Patreon a few weeks back?

Very throughout walkthrough boss. How long does it take to speedrun Cornelia?
Yeah

Cornelia questline has an equally long to Jasmine palace's, while require way more of your time dedicating to it.
Jasmine palace take 48 days minimum to complete. 24 mornings for decisions and 24 to see the outcomes.
Cornelia takes 45 days minimum, given there 5 stages with practice sections (from walking to anal) progressively unlocked (1+2+3+4+5)
each practices require 2 theory point, given training can happen only in mornings and a third day in required, so we got a formula
practices x days required for each = (1+2+3+4+5)x3 = 45
While I'm pretty sure there actually 6 stages with "regular teenage girl" being the 4th one potentially adding +2 to total amount of practices and therefore adding 6 more days to the totale.

You may skip walking, dancing maybe blowjob somewhere later down the line but I'm pretty sure you cant skip more than 30% of them bringing down min days required to 30, but consider that there is no reset option for Cornelia at the moment, so you're missing out a lot.

And you dont unlock Cornelia instantly, you have to:
Make more than 10, like 12 explorations for 12 city knowledge for 6 days to discover the stall
wait 14 days, yes 14 days, 2 weeks for absolutely no reasons for Maslab to get you from the stall the Cornelia,
As for the garden, It need a few more city knowledges, at least at 16 with 4 more explore for 2 days? It's like the last thing you discover.
Also the garden need at least 9 sunny mornings, or 9 days to clean it up and 2 more morning for you to see garden fairy 1 more to finally start planting stuffs
30+6+14+9 = 59 days minimum, consecutively dedicated days, with a good portion of Hornelia skipped which adds 15 more days to the equation.

Not to mention the amount of inconveniences that lengthening your run if you decide to zeroing on Cornelia and the garden unlike Jasmine, Cornelia isnt the main show and isnt supposed to get unlocked first but at year 3:

Cornelia indeed affected by rain, but also storms, negating each other out.
Making decisions at Jasmine's (24 out of 48 mornings, half of them), doesnt progress time, allowing you to do something else in that morning, while Cornelia trainings, progress time and take entire morning.

With early choices and city explores alone (may a bit save scuming) you can more or less casually, if not easily farm enough culture points to finish Jasmine palace in 48 days more or less. Money you spent is also instantly recoup for 300g while gardening is also kinda not worth it without +4 blessing, which gonna take another 2 months

It's a dedication not recommened early, clearly not designed that way. It's late game, what is by designed is you are to spam either exploring or guard duty for the first 2 years, which really suck due to having like 10 events in total, still you gonna have a worse time in general by going double down on Cornelia and the garden.

First I was unsure but I think I got were you left my train of thought.
Unlocking Cornelia in year 3 / or the garden in year 3 or even a bit later - that should be a typical first playthrough. You don't know the game, you don't know the mechanics, you're trying stuff out. Guard duty doesn't really pay, but better than nothing right? Along the line you'll discover that you can grow vegetables and sell them to Baslam - it's not much but ok... You'll discover later that Baslam has been ripping you of and you make much better profits, when you sell them at you're cart, and down the line you'll even increase that with the goddesses blessing, when you're at the point where you don't really need money anymore, but for the Dahr collectibles. You'll also learn about all the environmental factors. Typical first playthrough.

No that you know these mechanics, you engage with the resource management. The goal ISN'T to grind anything to completion and than move to the next thing - that will be a mindless grind no matter the order.

It's to prioritize. You do as much as you can from everything - but only when it's the most beneficial. Nice weather - day: work in your garden, night: got to town, get a massage, rest, or train (depending on what's most urgent); Rain - day: tutor hornelia; night: go on patrol (maybe train for the bad weather if the strongman contest is coming up). Once your garden is restored the timetable shifts since you have to plant and water crops- you'll stockpile them till your cart is ready) - but it's the same logic. While doing this you'll also keep visiting everyone to advance the relationships -just chatting progresses it and doesn't cost a thing. Beware of possible quests, thay may use up time, if you have urgent matters to take care of - like Jasmin you may advice her any day, but hearing her report will us up the day time. And so on and so forth.

Done right you can blast through the hole game in about 3,5 ingame years - maybe faster my technique isn't perfect, some parts are luck based, and I tend to slack of once things are progressing alright.

That's the ressource management loop. Doing so will always get you just about enough money/culture to continuously progress. You'll won't get tired of anything for you are doing different things on a daily basis and there is really a lot to keep in mind. And yes the ressource management mechanics are quite basic, but for a porn game it's just awesome how well they have been implemented.

By Money alone it's borderline impossible to farm 3000 gold for that achievement along in 4 years, plausible tho. In the context of the first run, then no.

I really dont think any first time player would plan to farm 3000, which is again, borderline impossible, to get over with that acheivement, before putting a ring on all 5 girls, with each costs 300 gold, 200 more on average for each wedding, yes it's plausible, but do you really plan to be miserable and bitchless for 4 years? I dont see how anyone with 2nd, 3rd or 4th playthrough would go for that either.

If you understand the game, that's the last route you'd plan to, which includes:

Cornelia and the Garden speedrun, which is optimal to finish at year 3, doing earlier put your whole overall game at a pause. you dont have much choice.

At year one you start at Fall, Garden is among the last things you unlock with explorations, 16 explorations equals 8 days, additionally it takes 9 mornings to clean it up, and additonal 2 days for Harvest Goddess. with 28 total days of Fall - (8+9+2) = 11 days you have left +4 first days of Winters to plants stuffs before the Winter hits.

And gardening still sucks without blessing, which you need 1+2+3 = 6 harvests, 5 days of watering + a final morning of harvest=6 days for each, and then 6 weeks (at least) for Harvest Godden to start blessing, and it's not blessing but the Milk you are looking for.

Now for the stall

Going for Cornelia is even worse (6 days of explore to unlock stall + 14 days for Baslam to take you to Cornelia), while it's gonna rain a lot during fall to make use of your last 8 days of it, you're hit with winters next for 28 days with 30% chance of Storms for each.

Having 28 days before Winter is the first reason while you shouldnt push for Stall and Garden, not to mention how tight your time and money economy.

And I was incorrect, there're actually not 5, but 6 stages of Cornelia, if not 7, bringing total amount of practice training to (1+2+3+4+5+5)=20, each takes 3 days so 20x3=60, if not 9 more days to the toal of 69 where I'm pretty sure there a stage between 2th and 3th adding 3 more practices

Anyways Either which you going first, Garden or Stall, at soon as Winter hits, you'd really you're cooked for the next 28 days and wondering why dont you just push Jasmine as any normal run.

And frequent massages, while costing 5g for 1 strength and 4 energy, is kinda costly for early game where you ignore exploration and guard job to push garden and Cornelia.

Exploration and Guard Events, do actually pay enough for you to finish Jasmine story, Which should be your all time priority and what you should be doing at all time, which takes 48x4 = 192 days to unlock all endings, minimum.

First problem it's the first Winter, 2nd is the early economy, 3rd is from start until finish of 88 days to unlock stall and garden, pays you nothing and require full time dedication, unlike Jasmine allowing you to do something and make progress somewhere else, instead of freezing your total progression, you will miss out a lot of early game money making, first is 300 gold from Meg and another 300 from Muscle Contest at first Spring, and 300g optional from Jasmine you plan to get her, all on the first spring.

4th is Crops also dont really pay to coop the amount of time it took to unlock to worth it, what you should be aiming for is the Milk, which again needs 6 crops with 6 days each (5 watering+ 1 harvest morning) = 30 days, then at least 6 weeks = 42 days for 1st pregnancy and another 10 days for the Milking of 2nd pregnancy.

19 days to start growing and 5+14+60 = 79 days to unlock stall. 19+79 = 88 days to start selling with your stall. 88 + 30 +42 = 160 days to finally get your fist milk, Well at least it gives you 700 gold (100g/day) during Winter?

Great plan, except it is, again, borderline impossible, It's 160 days back to back dedicated, even you just did the impossible and sell your Milk at 2nd winter, It's not worth it.

Yeah "finishing the game under 4 years" still looking good now.

First time no chance - you're meant to bumble around. And that's fine, cuz everything new. After that you can min-max hard and it's an actual game. Like the first winter you talked about, I use that for some training and try to get Muscle Man first year - but I've no clue if that's optimal. Or the classic trade-of pay to get a massage, or rest for the night? There's plenty of that, with choices and trade-ofs. I think that deserves some credit - since supposedly "superior" Akabur installments had no gameplay aside from grinding to continue.

Your digging yourself into a hole here.
Bumbling around on 1st playthrough and finishing the game under 4 years or 28x4x4 =448 days, that you keep insist of is an impossible feat. Because it is.
And what min maxing you're speaking off for it to be possible, Let's take a glance of the elephant in the room here: massing 3000 gold and I show you why it is, while possible, leaves you no room left to finish the rest of the game, while also halting your total progressing and lengthening amount of time required for completion. at the same time being counter counterintuitive:
There're also some small miscaculations from me previously

160 mornings to be able to sell your first milk
(I mixed up amount of days to explore with amount of exploration on previously, also Garden is the very Last thing to unlock
It takes 36 explorations equal full 18 days to unlock garden, instead of 18 explores or 6 days, adding 12 more to the total of 172.)
160 mornings to be able to sell your first milk
42 days of Goddess pregnancy and 7 days to get pregnant again = 49 (7 weeks) for every milk jug
Since you want to sell it only on winter to get 700g/week per jug
Safe to bring out a net of 700 gold for every 56 days
The rest of the years its 15g daily.
Top of that you get 12g/4days = 3gold daily from Jasmine

And remember, no spending. no whoring, you can put a ring on all of them in 2 years by talking alone
Also you cant progress anyone storyline, so no Sex from that neither, for the first 3 years
Why would you want that play through?
Who care there it is:

Now put it to motion.

you start at Fall first year, what you want to push first is the garden and get your first crop before 4th of winters, because it is possible.
_get that 70 gold, you'll need it
_Spam that explore button until the night of 18th, for 36 explores and 10% chance to play pint balls for 15g, you should be having at least 130ish gold now?
unlock the garden next day and start cleaning for 9 mornings
_At 28th Harvest goddess should appear, talk to her again on 1st of winter., She'll answer.
_Now build a Shrine that night and talk to her Next morning.
_....
(It appears shes finally sleeping, and if she wasnt it's alreadt 3rd of winter, you wont be able to plant anything, so my caculation was double off)
(Still you need garden ready as soon as possible)
_Now for the stall, you already unlock it at 11th of Fall
_And it takes Balsam 10 days to get to Cornelia, it's ready right now anyways
(Also remember to grab 7 gold daily at palace)
_Starts your training with Cornelia, take 2 days for introductions, then after that, every 2 days of theory and practice at third, Per stage you need 3 practices to unlock "check out with mother", which also is a practice, bringing to 4 practices equal 12 morning per stages
_Here you can skip 2/6 or 30% of Cornelia quest by only do 4 out of 6 available practices per stage (which gonna be suck since while it's lengthy, the longest questline in the game, rival only by Jasmine 4 endings when combined. And there is no reset stone.)
_For night activities, Get Max strength then farm guard job, because it's events that pay instead of 2g per night. Sleep if necessary but do not spend on anything or miss a single morning.
(In the spans of 2 years or 224 days (or around 2.5 years) you will get max relationship with everyone by saying hello alone, so dont spend a cent)
_There is 6 stages of Hornelia (while I'm pretty sure it's 7), meaning 6x12 = 72 days to complete (instead of 30 days from previous estimations), So yeah have fun.

and Remember, no spending

NO

You are here to make muhney

_when it's 1st of spring, back to garden
(Remember Gardening is triple top priority, drop Cornelia (atm) go straight to Harvest Goddess)

_ You are now able to farm (on the next morning)
_Here is the deal, 28 days for a crop to grow, -4days per when watered, so it will take 28/5 = 5.6 days = 6days per harvest.
_You can water at night, the day is for Cornelia, but:
+first and last days (seeding and watering) only happens in the morning, where you have to give cornelia that days off, meaning you can overlap 4/6 days with Cornelia training, significantly shortening amount of days required.
_You need to push out 1+2+3 = 6 harvest = 36 days, to be able to mount the Goddess.

_If everything goes soundly, you should be able to get her pregnant at 8 of Summer
_And be able to get your first milk 42 days later (28+14), at 22 of Fall, right?

Nope

because apparently the first ever pregnancy from Harvest Goddess will take the realistic route, or 84 days, 3 months = 3 seasons ingame complete. That means 8th of next Spring of the 3rd year. (no milk nor blessing this year)

You cant milk her on first pregnancy neither, additionally a week of recovery, then 42 days of pregnancy to finally milk here
_So you will have your first MILK JUG by last day of Summer year 3.

(It's not like you can see her on winters, so no time lost)
_Now for Hornelia, due to 2/6 our 30% of morning now dedicate to garden, There is now a 30% increase on amount of total time it takes to finish her.
_Remember that Lifting contest btw.
_by spring you should be able to finish the generous amount of 2 stages, assuming there is zero chances of sandstorm in 28 days of winter, so 72-2x12 = 48 days with a 30% increase = 63 days.
_You should be able to start the stall by 24 of Fall, right at the time for winter for that sweet 30g/day
_By 24 of fall you should be having 300g from lifting competition, 400 gold from Jasmine (128+24days),

and that 300 gold from Meg, from Hercules, you need like 6 days of training to him

And for the guard Job, assuming you start from last 1st last winter to 28th this fall = 4 months or a full years of 112 days
33 days to get 100 exercise xp and 7 days more to maintain lv3 strength as a round up = 40

72 days left for guard jobs, with 20 days of recruit and 20 of sergeant and the rest 32 for captain, so 20x2 +20x7 +32x15 = 660 gold

There are guards event with big money either an addition of 5g, 10, 20, 30, 60 and 70,
assuming they happen twice, kinda rare tho = 410 ,

You should get approciately 1000 gold from guard jobs

_You still gotta pay for seeds, 70g from the start should cover 2 crops and that construction last winter
_You ought to have 10 harvest by now, so 10x20 = -200 gold

So the total net:
1000 + 400 +300 +300 -200 = 1800 gold

Still I'm very sure Guards events should give you more than 410 gold, way more

You know what, round that up from 1800 to 2100
(Now your making way more than I did)

Due to Guard job RPG (I'm pretty sure the entire game is seeded like Stardew Valley since randomeness is pretty tough to code)
your net should be around from 1600 to 2100g by around 24 of fall 2nd years

+This rate I realized you kinda dont need more than 6 harvest since it's 24th of Fall with stall (2 for last week of fall and first of next spring, 4 for winters).

What do you know, you now have 2100 gold (or 1600 depends on how unlucky you are with RPG) before 2nd Winters

There wont be milk until Next fall but it's looking good now, You may not need Milk at all and get 3000 gold at all
15g from guard and 30g from stall daily = 45 daily x 28 days = 1260 gold for winters alone

At the very least you hit 3000 gold before mid spring year 3.

So that is Possible.

Money is also no longer your problem,

Apparently it doesnt take 2 years but around 80 days of daily greetings max out relationships without paying to have sex with them, So you should be able to put the ring on Meg, Vivi, and Lily now

As for Ata, Emerald and Iris, That's another story, They need quite a lot of days to training, approatedly at least 7 days spreading through months in game because there're a cooldown between them, especially Esmeralda, she has the 3rd longest storyline, in term of time to complete, in term of content, while I rate here around 2nd on how good the writing is, her is the emptiest.

And for Jasmine,... well 24x2x4=192 mornings or 1.7 ingame years, you are at year 3

Safe to say with this route you are to finish all the achievements to get the ending by middle of year 5, around time when, if you are a normal person playing it the normal way, get that 3000 gold achievement.

, and 6th for birthdays coach plays, holidays, events,.. and 7th or 8th to actually juice out everything.

Is it shorter than than a "mess around" playthrough?
Yep Significantly shorter, butt whooping 1 year shorter at most

Is it as enjoyable? Oh hell no, NO SEX for entirely first 2 YEARS, NOTHING, there technically Sex but it get absoutely boring very fast because it's ONLY Hornelia on the table while variety is a spice of life,

And HORNelia doesnt have that much SEX content neither.
and Good Luck trying to wank to guard events.

Also you mess up entire Pacing of the whole game, by doing this.

Did I attempt this? Yes I just did, I wrote this down live as I was doing the run.

Why tho? Well not answering that. This has been the worst 5 hours of my life than I cant get back.

Edit: Stall needs 9 mornings to repair, you should be able to stall stuffs by 6 of Winter, have fun because I didnt.
