Question regarding using Daz Studio assets from this site

Hey guys, sorry for the noob question but I am relatively new to this community and started using Daz Studio a few days ago. I am currently learning 2D animations in Blender and 3D in Daz Studio. As I am new to this, for a start I am using borrowed assets, models and more in Daz until I can make some of my own. There are some amazing Daz Assets available on this site but I wonder if they can be used commercially within a game. I have seen some character assets such as Drew for Genesis 3 which has been used in Dating My Daughter and Fergal HD for Landon 8 used in Deliverance. So if I would like to use assets like these in my own games with small changes, do I have to buy them or can simply download from this site and use them? As per the ReadMe provided regarding finding game assets, it has been mentioned that the resources are publicly available and in certain cases, a generous member shares purchased products or their own creations. So are these shared assets available for tryouts or can they be actually utilized in developing games without having to buy them? Hope to hear from you guys soon.

For DAZ assets, to use legally, you have to buy them. But maybe one thing you could do is use them illegally and, when you raise some money, you could pay for them. There are some actually free Daz assets that you can use legally for free, but they are very few, you have to check the DAZ site to know which ones are the case

As for other shared assets, you have to check the license. For instance, if it has the Creative Commons license, you can freely use for comercial purposes. There are licenses that only permit you to use for non profit purposes.

Hey,

I find myself in the same situation like you. At least for now, I am planning on starting with free assets I am getting here and then later pay for them in case the game gets a bit of traction and some people are willing to chip in a few bucks.

Still curious about how other people are doing it.
How did you end up going about with this?
